"chimichanga in st david shopping centre in cardiff has a large selection of Mexican and American foods. we played safely by making for a texan sharing platter that is made of back ribs, chicken wings, chickenstack, chili con carne, a bean combination, fries and coleslaw, good for 3 4 pax. it was just brilliant! have it with a cubanista beer! highly recommended eating! the only problem we were faced with was to get the bill and pay for that nobody visited in a long time! cost for a few £35."

However, the manager replaced his meal at no charge, gave us a 30% discount on our bill, and threw in free chips and guacamole. I was very impressed with the customer service - 5/5 stars for that. The food was delicious, but having moved from San Antonio, Texas to Lincoln, I can't give it the top rating. It didn't quite live up to the authentic Tex-Mex cuisine I was used to. I will definitely be returning and recommending the restaurant to others."

"Last night, we dined at Chimichanga on Church Street in Peterborough. We arrived and were seated, and ordered a sharing starter shortly after. The food was served with apologies for the delay, along with some Mexican crisps as compensation. The filled potato skins were only lukewarm, but the rest of the food was decent. We finished our starters and then ordered our main course. Before the main course arrived, we were once again apologized to with an explanation that the restaurant was busy. We expressed that we did not want to wait any longer and requested the bill for what we had already eaten. Eventually, the food arrived. My partner had taken a bite when she was asked if everything was okay. She requested to finish her meal before commenting, but was asked to repeat her answer. At this point, another staff member intervened and pulled the other staff member away. We were no longer interested in the food, so we quickly finished what we had, asked for the bill, paid, and left."

"Some sandwiches were almost like bread and butter as the filling was so thin. The vegan sandwiches were a green leaf and some sort of chutney, the cake wasn't great. The scenes, cream and jam were lovely and the waiter was pleasant. We still had a great time but I wouldn't recommend this hotel for afternoon tea."

For mains, two of us had the rump steak which was undercooked and difficult to cut. The fries resembled those from McDonald's. One person had the burrito which was decent, while another had the prawns which were not well presented. We decided to skip dessert as we felt it was overpriced for the quality of food we received. Overall, the experience was disappointing considering the price we paid."
