"We booked a table for 15 people at 2.30 in the afternoon and they were able to accommodate us easily. it was very good to find somewhere that could take a large group at one table. The staff were very nice and welcoming but the service suffered as the staffing level was minimal. The food was acceptable, nothing more. We were surprised that they had 'run out of ' sparkling water and Coca Cola... very odd. The view is absolutely super they have a large terrace overlooking Gun wharf, with lots of chairs as it was a lovely day, it was extremely attractive. However, it suffers from being the 'smoking area '. The room inside is pleasant, with high ceilings and very large windows. The 'muzak ' was a ghastly generic/covers track obviously cheap versions of hit songs but 'imitation ' singers quite horrid and too loud. My feeling is that it suffers from being a 'night place/bar ' that does not adapt to the day very well. All in all, disappointing."

"We booked a table here on a Saturday evening through OpenTable however on arrival were told they had no record of this as it was a private party. The girl behind the bar was quite shocked we were there however said we could eat but there would be a wait. As it was a Saturday night and everywhere else seemed packed we felt we should give it a go and I'm glad we did! We went straight into the main course I had chicken supreme which was delicious my husband had the burger also excellent and the others had gammon and fish and chips which once again were also good. Despite being told there would be a wait there wasn't the food came out quickly and the service was good. Only two of us had puddings and I can highly recommend the mango and passion fruit cheesecake! superb!! All in all I'd recommend the place and will return!"

"I entered The New Inn, Salisbury, yesterday seeking retreat from the pouring rain and to meet my son after work. I was served at the bar by Harry. I sat on a lovely leather sofa with my book. Harry brought my drink to the table then proceeded to light the fire for me. I was very grateful for his thoughtfulness; the day was wet cold, and the fire was appreciated. My son and I spent a lovely two hours chatting and enjoying the atmosphere and warmth of this charming old pub with its beamed ceilings and large fireplace. I'd like to especially thank Harry who was welcoming, friendly and professional and helped to make my afternoon very enjoyable. I recommend The New Inn to everybody cosy in the winter, a lovely beer garden overlooking the cathedral Close on sunny days."

"Very disappointing considering I was told it was one of the best places to go for a roast in York. It started with one waiter stating he needed to check if they had defrosted any more chicken…. There were two hairs in my food one hidden under my chicken breast and one wrapped around a parsnip. The dish was replaced but the food was sub par not to the standard we had been told. No one came back to the table to check on the food, my mother in laws food was like warm even tho she asked for it to be as hot as they could make it. A mild apology and £4 off the bill for two hairs which put me off my food and everything was just overly disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone and I certainly won’t go back."

"Total failure to meet Indigo’s basic promise of pre theater meal. We booked this restaurant from the US specifically because of its promise of its pre theatre special menu and service. We relied on their local knowledge and advise and booked at 6 for a 7:30 curtain . We Arrived at 6:05 delayed by an misdirected Uber) and seated promptly and ordered the simplest pre theatre menu after we confirmed our theatre plans and need for extra time as slow walkers. They confirmed no issues. Food and drink was fine but no time to eat as the entree arrived 10 minutes before our required departure time. If you can’t meet your promise, don’t promise. Totally failed."

"We got there at 12.30 and after 30 mins we managed to get a drink. We managed to get a bench outside to sit at as I am disabled. My daughter went to queue up for chips and burgers for the children as we thought it would be the quickest and how wrong were we . 45 mins later and only 2 people serving we decided to call it a day. Everything looked dirty, the bouncy castle/train was unusable because it was full of water , moss and leaves. They advertised it and didn’t even clean it, it was disgusting.The so called farm was just a few dirty enclosures with not much grass and a few chicken , and sheep in. We left after not being able to get food for ages and went into Maidstone to get something. Never will we go back there as there was just a lack of staff. 2 cooking food and taking money and 2 people serving in the bar. I was in the trade for 25 years and you always get extra staff when you have some kind of function on."

"Perfect atmosphere for our family reunion. It was Friday and Abi took care of us, she’s a fantastic person with a sense of humour We were personally taken care of, and after having a knee replacement recently I felt reassured to know that I could sit comfortably. Personally, I had the Beetroot Buddha bowl with vegan dough balls and it was all most enjoyable; infact to die for. We ALL thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service matched the food if not made the night. "A few months ago, we made a reservation at this restaurant based on recommendations from friends. We visited for Sunday lunch, which consisted of a carvery. For my starter, I ordered a soup which unfortunately had a plastic lid from a store-bought soup added to it. The soup was flavorless and the lid was not ideal for my teeth. Despite this, no apology was given. We were instructed to wait until our table was called for the carvery, and we found the quality of the food to be lacking. The ambiance of the restaurant was very average."

"Let’s be honest about this place food is tasty but my goodness they need reality check when it comes to pricing. The Lobster Roll which is a signature dish is pounds and there wouldn’t be anything majorly wrong about it except it’s the size of IKEA hot dog with few crisps and pickles on the side. Staff were lovely but I can’t shake off the feeling of being majorly ripped off. There isn’t anything that justifies the price they charge for food. If you fancy a cocktail and a light bite go for one of the starters their prices are a lot more palpable. If you’re hungry for a decent dinner be prepared to spend a pretty penny."

"My friend and I were looking for vegetarian dim sum, and she found this gem of a place online. What a fantastic find. We had gyozo, mixed veg dim sum, I had a lovely Korean fried chicken dish, with rice, and peanut brownie dessert, which was more of an ice cream sundae. My friend had the vegan katsu, I tried a bit and it was awesome, she had the mochi dessert. All delicious service was excellent, staff were very friendly and attentive. This place has a really good vibe. Unfortunately, I can only give 5 stars , but would happily give more. You must try this lovely place."

"We had left Dolly's Tea Rooms across the road as we were very disappointed in them (see review that I left! We only noticed Zest Café Lounge as we were driving away, and decided to call in. How lovely! Very attentive waitresses and good snack type menu choices. The table was cleaned as soon as we sat down although we were told it had been cleaned already. Didn't have to wait long for our drinks and food. Everything was very fresh, and really tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed eating at this friendly little cafe. Well definitely be back!"

"Did not book went for a lovely evening meal. They had no trouble accommodating us, despite being well booked for the Saturday evening service. It’s Abarbistro, and as such drinkers, mostly quite young, were also present, but they didn’t really cause any problem. In fact, they’re quite entertaining to watch and listen to! The food was served quickly and was tasty and well presented. The service from the young, waiting on staff was exemplary. Really enjoyed visiting and the surroundings which were bright modern and clean. Our food was tasty and generous in proportions considering the price in the £15-£20 range."

"Absolutely disaster! Got there table was ready, then asked for menu's to be told no we couldn't have food, although they was advertising food, As we booked with open table not the club itself. After complaining, they allowed us to have food, which was very nice, we all enjoyed. My friend went to the bar for conqtour they had put triple sec in the bottle so it's wasn't the real liquor. Which when complained they gave her a refund. We'd just ate our food, we was asked to leave the table as it was booked out for another party. With in the 2 hours we was there we'd roughly spent between us about £500. I asked for the manager, her Name was Nicola, I showed her the email, which it never stated I only had the table for a few hours, she blamed open table, not putting in they email. She wasn't sorry at all, club was quite she didn't offer us any other tables, absolutely ruined my birthday, that's what we was out for, made us so un welcome towards the end, because we complained. Also the was no draught pumps working they was charging over £5 for a bottle lager, which was half pint. Said the wasn't having them fixed either. The club is absolute joke! I would never return there again. Management is waste time, need to go on customer service course, how to run a business. I'm a Manager in retail, run quite a few stores, if I had treated any customer like this, I would be looking for a new job, so unprofessional, o hope you take my comments on board. "Food OK, crab cakes stodgy but tacos said to be good; grain salad stodgy and too salty, fish pie over salty, lobster tails good but neither of us wanted them swimming in butter, makes them difficult to eat with butter sloshing about. "Visited here with my year old grandson. I had a savoury waffle and he had sweet. His was cookie dough ice cream sundae, pretty big and he loved it. Struggled to finish it though. I had Croque Madame and it was absolutely delicious. Cheese, ham and wonderful mustard on a waffle. All ingredients are excellent quality. The staff are friendly, helpful and relaxed. We both enjoyed our visit and plan to return soon."
