"Never AGAIN. I have eaten here a number of times and the Service has got worse and worse. I can't complain about the food but the waiters and manager I would recomend taking a customer service course !! No baby changing Facilities and the disable toliet stank of ciggerate smoke.The kitchen upstairs is disgusting and flirthy I'm glad I ordered a pizza which was cooked downstairs.Price is higher than normal and service charge is a joke.Would not recomend here......"

"I have been visiting fumo for 10 years, as a family and with friends we have always enjoyed it. Last night I had a terrible and upsetting experience. To start with we had to navigate through the terrible city Christmas traffic so we called to say we would be late, we were told no problem. Upon arrival we had to wait in a long queue to be seated which added more time only to then be told our table had been given away to a walk in. We were then found a table in the bar and told we could have it for one hour. No one offered to take our coats as they usually do, they started taking our plates away before we had finished eating and not once asked if everything was ok. We spent over £200 and this is how we were treated! In addition to this the noise was ridiculous and the toilets absolutely disgusting! We refused to pay the service charge and the bill was snatched out of my friends hand by the manager with long black hair and a beard (not sure of his name). He then out of spite charged an extra £200 to my friends card which she will not get back in to her account for 5 days. He stomped off when we said this needed to be resolved. We then asked to speak to the main manager, this person also spoke down to us, would not listen to our concerns and kept talking over us. At this point the other manager walked past and swore at us! We felt intimidated as a group of women and I have been left feeling upset by the whole experience. This was once a classy establishment and one of the nicest restaurants in town, I don’t know what has happened but I have read other negative reviews about the restaurant and this particular person so clearly there has been a change of managers.. the service has always been 5 star but things have rapidly gone downhill here. After enjoyed fumo for many years, I will not be returning."

"Fabulous!!. I have visited several times and have never been disappointed! I actually cannot believe some of the reviews on here, I honestly wondered if I was reading about the correct restaurant! Admittedly I have never eaten off the a la carte menu but have eaten from their daytime taster menu many times which is tapas style. The food is consistently excellent and fantastic value for money. And the waiting staff are friendly and attentive. If I had to fault anything it would be that several times through the meal each different staff member asks if everything is ok which after maybe 4 times becomes tiresome. "Went here randomly as the nearest place to where I met a business partner... and was blown away by the food quality and service. The staff were fantastic attentive and engaging, and clearly very experienced. The price seemed impossibly good for such high quality meals, with very decent portion sizes. The spicy chicken penne was amazing. The tomatoes tasted very real and the aroma reminded me of my Mediterranean heritage. The pizzas looked amazing too, freshly made on site from scratch, baked in view of the seating area, and a very good size considering the price and attention to detail. No silent adding of tips to the bill was the icing on the cake."

"aaahhh, La Pappardella....There's nothing I can say that can give their food justice...I've known La Pappardella for years, though I haven't been there for a while, until recently, where my husband and I decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary.So we went there full of hopes for a delicious, romatic evening. And such evening we've had.We were greeted by two of their staff and even though we have booked a table, they gave us a free choice to sit wherever we wanted. The restaurant is small but they do have some sitting downstairsin and in the back garden in the summer.We've ordered a nice bottle of white wine. The choice on the menu is endless. Anything from pasta through risotto to pizzas and salads. We started off with grilled prawns and carpaccio. Now, I'm not a big fan of sea food, but I scoffed up almost all of my husband's starter. Carpaccio: tender and full of flavour.For main, my hubby chose risotto. That was the biggest plate i have seen while eating out. It was rich and creamy with fresh chicken and tender veg. I went for a lobster spaghetti. A bit extravagant, but it was a special occasion and I just wanted to compare London's lobster to the one we had in St Kitts. Well, I was not dissapointed. A huge plate of pasta (though it was slightly over-cooked and i like mine a bit tenter) in a rich, fresh tomato and a hint of a chilli sauce and there, on top, lay the lobster in its full glory: cut in quarters. It was delicious and... messy.... I never had to play with tools like this before, as previously I had my lobster shelled. But it was so much fun to get dirty.Ice-cream based desserts were the perfect finish to a lovely meal. At the ned, we received complimentary shots of lemon flavoured course meal for with bottle of wine and service we have paid which is an absolute bargain for the quality of food and service you'll receive in return.I love that little place and we just keep coming back for more.Buon apetito!"

We were given a menu, but when the server arrived, they abruptly mentioned that the items we chose were not included in our voucher.
