"Food and service were good but they could not find my reservation when we first arrived. It was not until I explained that I had to have confirmation sent to Opentable that I had attended, in order to receive my reward points, that they realised they have a separate booking system for Opentable reservations. This could not be accessed until later when the Manager was able to do so. Eventually they found it and I see my points have been added. Unfortunately, like almost all of the restaurants in our area, they do not accept Opentable diners cheques or gift cards which defeats the object of collecting points, despite being able to book through Opentable. I have complained about this to Opentable in the past who said they would make their restaurants more aware of the points redemption system but I have seen no improvement of this. There is no list of restaurants which accept them, only a long list of restaurants which do not. If a restaurant joins the scheme it should be obligitory for them to accept redemption of points in the form of diners cheques or gift cards. They should at least have some incentive or encouragement to do so. For some reason none of them want to accept them and most of them do not know about them, even though they take bookings through Opentable."

"Zizzi Bishop 's Stortford. A regular haunt which we return to time and time again. Mainly for the friendly and helpful staff. Even if you have not booked, and have to wait for a table they look after you. Food excellent and will always 'tweak ' dishes to your tastes. Nothing to fault."

"Used offer available for buy one main get one food which made the meal good value. We went for pasta, pizza x 2 and salad and that worked well followed by sharing 3 puddings amongst the 4 of us. I will admit I have had better pizza before (the calzones are good) but overall a pleasant family experience and customer service was good."

"Zizzi is always a good option if you are vegan and want to have a choice on the menu. Everything is clearly marked and the staff is really thoughtful. I got the green risotto that was ok (more spices would be welcome) and my husband got the lasagnas that were delicious. Would be safe again."

"We arrived ffor our booking table booked through Open Table no problem. We were seated quickly, and our order taken within approximately minutes, our starter arriving shortly after. Unfortunately we had finished the starter before our drinks had arrived I would have thought it would have been done the other way around and we were quite thirsty by that time. It was after that, that we began to wonder if our food was going to arrive. We enquired at about as to where our lunch was we were informed that they were short on chefs and therefore our lunch would be delayed. The table next to ours was also annoyed because, as like us, they were to be at the cinema for Both tables believed that if they knew they were going to be short staffed then our booking shouldn't have been taken. We managed to get our main course at about leaving minutes to eat, pay the bill and get to the cinema. We then felt rushed to get to the cinema. I must stress though that our waiter couldn't have been more helpful. The only thing we felt he should have done was to tell us that they were short staffed and therefore our dinner would take more than an hour to arrive. Despite all of the above, our food was lovely when it came. Our frustration came mainly at not being told that there would be a big delay in getting our food"

"I am not the biggest fan of chain restaurants, keep it independent is what I say, however have been here on a few dates, family meals and birthday bashes over the years. Not really a place of atmosphere, it can be pretty busy, food is nicely presented, but very standard. Speed of service can be very slow at times, once we waited an hour between a garlic bread starter and pizza main course and they had the nerve to add on a service charge at the end, which we point blank refused to pay. Staff attitude can vary. I probably won’t go here through choice in future, best left to group birthday bashes or celebrations."

"It was my fault that we were an hour early as I hadn't changed my watch from French time, so when we arrived, the Manager said that we had no reservation, I then realised that I had made a mistake and she kindly led us to a table and said she would recheck our reservation shortly, she did , all was well! the food is always good at Zizzi and the atmosphere even better, we all decided on a sharing platter for our starters, and the rest of the table had the Rustica Pizza, and I had my favourite pasta dish, Linguine with king Prawns, yummy. Well done Zizzi!"
