Zizzi - Newark - Menu

The food was good and the staff were friendly but the service was so slow. The restaurant was not that busy Sunday evening and there were plenty of staff but they just aren't that attentive

I'm a regular custom at Zizzis and always have good food. This was the first time I've booked online though and when we arrived there wasn't a booking in my name even though I'd got a confirmation number!

The food at this restaurant was great and the staff was friendly, but the service was extremely slow. Even though the restaurant was not very busy (Sunday evening) and had enough staff, they were lacking in attentiveness.

I was not impressed with this Zizzi restaurant. The service was slow and the atmosphere was lacking. It felt like somewhere between a fast food place and a casual dining spot. We only felt it was worth the cost because we used Tesco vouchers. It's disappointing because Zizzi typically has some nice restaurants.

Took my parents out for dinner for my dad's birthday on Sunday at It was just OK.Even though the restaurant was really quiet we had to wait ages to be waited on.Then the waitress would only take our drink orders, and refused to take our food order why?.When the food finally arrived, the pizza was only just warm and the meatballs were over spicy.We had to wait so long to order dessert that we gave up and went to the till to pay.It's a shame as ever other Zizzi I've been in has been much better

I treated my parents to dinner on my dad's birthday at 12:30 on Sunday. The overall experience was okay, although we were disappointed. Despite the restaurant being quiet, we had to wait a long time to be served. The waitress only took our drink orders and did not take our food order for some unknown reason. When our food eventually arrived, the pizza was lukewarm and the meatballs were too spicy. We waited a long time to order dessert but eventually gave up and went to the register to pay. It's unfortunate because every other Zizzi restaurant I've been to has been much better.

I hate to give bad reviews I really do because I understand firsthand how low staffing levels can affect service but I really, really was not impressed at all.I love Zizzi the food is delicious so I was disappointed when I went to the Newark branch. The place was loud no fault of the staff it's just because there was a big party in and the sound travelled. I had to speak loudly to hold a conversation. first impressions on arrival was that this was going to be a lovely zizzi. It is in a stunning location overlooking the river and the restaurant itself looked really nice. When we went in I said we had a table booked but they had no record of it. I showed the email confirmation but they didn't say anything. They did find us a table but it was in a very cold corner of the restaurant surrounded by tables with children on who were very noisy. We arrived ffor our booking table booked through Open Table no problem. We were seated quickly, and our order taken within approximately minutes, our starter arriving shortly after. Unfortunately we had finished the starter before our drinks had arrived I would have thought it would have been done the other way around and we were quite thirsty by that time. It was after that, that we began to wonder if our food was going to arrive.
