"Went here for a very pleasant dinner, haven’t been to a Cafe Rouge in a while and I must say I have missed out, the food was really good. It was all done very well and tasted amazing, my favourite has to be the Anna potatoes the desert was good, the lemon tarte is not to my liking but that more of a personal preference but the chocolate fondant was good just a bit over done. Service all in all was really good attentive and always checked back that everything was ok Would definitely recommend if you are down these ways"

"Go here regularly and the last few times I've been the portions are TINY and really stale like they have been in the fridge for days. My sushi yesterday was so cold I had to wait for it to warm up slightly before eating it as it was FREEZING. Paid £4.50 for a yasai roll and got 3 very very thin bits of sushi. Got an spicy avocado roll wasn't spicy but was SOAKED in sweet chilli sauce. Inari pockets were slimy. My mum got ramen we were both confused as the broth seemed just like hot water with noodles and mushrooms in it so it tasted like nothing. Also why is there no pickled ginger offered anymore? Yes, we are still in a pandemic but customers didn't have to pay extra for it before so why are they being charged a premium for it now? This place has gone downhill big time and wouldn't be surprised if it closes within next few years. Staff were friendly enough but also seemed like they couldn't really be bothered. Fair enough though as all transactions are online now so they are probably making even less tips than they were before."

"my partner and I stumbled over zizzi in salisbury while I visited the day. a fast Google search after their menu showed that they had a few vegan options, so we gave it a try. they had two vegan pizzas and a few pasta dishes (although only a vegan pasta dishes were shown on the menu). we ordered the lenses ragu and the jackfruit pizza. both dishes were really delicious; we were also given some vegan/gluten free pasta chips!"

"I don't normally eat in places that also serve meat, but I was told they had a separate vegan menu and decided to give them a go. I'm glad I did. I had a vegan cheese pizza with various toppings, a pint of beer, and a very tasty chocolate torte with ice cream for dessert. The place was pleasant and the food satisfying. I should note that it was the most expensive place I ate at in Manchester though the other five places (all veggie/vegan) were cheaper. I would eat at Zizzi again, definitely. It was their vegan menu that pulled me in. As an aside, I was with some Italian family. They spoke Italian with one member of staff, assuming he would understand, but he didn't speak Italian. I'm not sure if that was an exception or not, but as a chain it is obviously not quite as Italian as it likes to appear."

"we visited, well, discovered, zizzi almost random. when we had the first visit of the hull truck theatre to the birthday, we looked somewhere to park and eat somewhere. we both discovered at stephen’s. we didn't know zizzi was in the shopping center. we thought it was on the road. we could go from car to restaurant without going outside was a bonus for a dark, cold, february evening! for a restaurant in a food court we were pleasantly surprised. although it is not a high end, it is an independent italian, it is a good quality chain outlet. the staff was friendly and helpful. eating was delicious and, even for a half week meal, we didn't think it was too expensive. the wine card was concise, we went for a midst of the priced bottle, which was pleasant and served in beautiful, clean glasses. we had dinners and in general, so I can't comment on desserts. we don't make people. we enjoyed our meal very much. I had the spit and the laughter while nabenby had a calzone. both were delicious. my Italian melted cheese starter should die. hubby also recommends the wild pig meat balls. we had time constraints, and the personal has this without rushing. they were very helpful to tell us how to find hull truck and how to deal with our parking exit at the end of the night. we will definitely return, especially when we visit hull truck again. it makes a very pleasant evening. good eating, good wine and a good night in the theater. what is not to like!"

"You have some great options at Zizzi especially if you are for all at a family event, for example. The beet walls were unique and was delicious, served with some bread would be nice to mix the remaining tomato sauce. The pizza is standard and it is great, vegan cheese on them. The chocolate cake is amazing as always. The desert cold zone was disappointing, the calzone was mostly just dough with a piece of bananas and spoons from Marmelade in it, but the gelato was delicious. The bad points were the atmosphere that it was very loud, the staff cried and the staff made an unnecessary amount of kidneys. Price is reasonable. Obviously, as always, there are animal products to add the poor atmosphere."

"amazing service of john here today. my own and a friend had 2 small children in the tow and he was so courteous to bring the coloring in the menus and in the crayons for the young. I was also recently vegan and have not taken to vegan cheese. that made me understand how to taste the vegan pizza. john assured me, however, that many vegans have rated their cheese as the best and it is made from rice milk. he said I should order it and if I didn't like it, he would give me the vegan ragu and spaghetti for free! I ordered it and it was delicious, nothing like my previous vegan pizza experience. so you don't need to replace him on his offer, my restored believe in vegan cheese was enough! he even gave my son free ice when he almost slept through the meal. can't evaluate my experience high enough. fantastic al fresco meal with an amazingly helpful host. two indecisive mothers, a vegan and two living little children had a great time. will be visited again in any case. thanks zizzi especially john!"

"now, where do I start, we arrived at zizzi for our Valentine's Day meal busy with all intentions but waiting 35 minutes in the cold flur was not a good start, we finally got it to the front of the waiting snake and was sitting. we then took our drink and meal order quickly, which was great, as we were very hungry at the time, we waited 30 minutes for our appetizers, which were very simple, kalamari and wild boar balls. in this time had another couple sitting on the table with us, they had their ancestors shortly after our. we had cleaned our tellers, and we had to wait for 40 minutes until our main thing arrived, which was ridiculous when it was a pizza and a calzone and at that time most people went, I was even more angry when the couple next to us got their main thing before we had started eating there after our, their food was very similar pizza and pasta. we finally got our food at 9:30 o'clock. that was horrific considering that our table was booked at 7:30 a.m., which was a scandal, because it was delicious when the food came. I was disappointed in the evening, since I really was looking forward to the meal, as I had been there before and really enjoyed it! we are getting married in October and wanted this to be a special Valentine's Day, as our last one before the big day."

"I have visited numerous vegan groups on facebook, I always hear how amazing zizzi is, and finally I have the opportunity to visit one on a trip to yorkshire. Despite its location to be the center of a retail park, this restaurant really feels like you're going to be out somewhere that interieur is spacious, modern, interesting, clean and the atmosphere was beautiful. the waiter was incredibly helpful and went out of his way to ensure that all our meals were perfectly met. my mother ordered the vegan green goddess salat, separated with the pesto; my partner ordered the vegan rustica pizza, with added spinat, and I went and veganized the thin ‘primavera’ pizza that replaces the non-vegan options for cruel free versions. our meals arrived immediately, and just as we ordered despite all tweaking the usual menu items! (they also came with vegan stickers, of course we had to wear our little tokens for the rest of the meal with proud, hahahahahahaha). all our meals were arched, they were absolutely sensational. (my omni dad said it was the best lasagne he ever had, but that wasn't vegan/veggie) also beautiful portion sizes, thanks to enough space for my partner and I to share the legendary vegan dessert roller zone! I tend to avoid sugar, but there was no possibility that I could go without taste! when we ordered the waiter, it was so sorry to announce that they had no more vegan option in their filiale, but he made sure that we can still enjoy our little vegan tasty by replacing the non-vegan items in the plate, thereby treating our own cutter! on a page note were my partner and mama not too impressed by the coffee but we are grateful that it was so. Maybe soon Zizzi’s will offer more vegan coffee options. the whole experience was absolutely fantastic, we felt really interested, and give the waiter a big tip, he seemed really taken back; the personal is simply really good people there in our experience. I would like to visit again. I would say it is a safe bet for meals with men's mixed nutritional requirements, and since it is a chain restaurant, they can know what to expect. [additional] I would like to leave 5* review, but in the rule happycow restaurants that are only veggie friendly can only get the highest 4* reviews."

"Thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Zizzi, staff were friendly, and the food and drink were delicious. We would happily return and recommend to others. My friend's risotto dish looked very tasty and she agreed it was delicious although one mussel did come out undercooked and the portion when compared to that of the pasta and pizza dishes was underwhelming so I would suggest larger portions on these dishes and more care to be taken when cooking sea food such as mussels. Also whilst waiting for a table we would have prefered to have been able to sit at the bar with a drink whilst waiting for our table instead of in the door but we were seated promptly so this is more of a suggestion than an issue."

"If it was possible to score no stars I would our food order was very disappointing the food did not arrive all together, of the meals ordered the gluten free pizza arrived mins later than the others. Of the food that arrived first the two calazone pizzas only had filling towards one half almost as if folded incorrectly and the other salmon dish was stone cold. The salmon dish was taken away and we waited over mins for a hot replacement as you can guess despite being a ‘priority order’ the staff telling us over and over again “just mins” mins is totally unacceptable. Bedford has a plethora of fantastic Italian restaurants this chain will not get our custom again"

"we had a table for 19,45 and with approx. 5 minutes arrived to save the front of the house visitor, could not book first then told us our table for 19.30 was booked I recommended that this was wrong and said I had the confirmation on my phone e, on which the answer was "good it says 7.30 and the book" in a right acceptable ton of the vote. we were led to a small 2 sitting table that was too close to the table when the couples were available for 4 people and tables for 4 and were still empty when we were finished). I found my confirmation and went to the recipe that just shrunk. no apologies that we had been booked wrong and their information was correct. from a first impression perspective, this was a terrible beginning. our waitress was very nice, but was obviously informed, we were not happy and went over the top to try to correct the situation. the precursor of the mushrooms came to bruschetta and was recommended to go the teller were hot and cautious, but my partner had a disc that was stone cold and another luke warm ... when he mentioned it was told that it should not be hot .. so why do it serve on hot plates? finished our meal and went .. not in any hurry to visit again."

"We were then seated at a small table for two that was uncomfortably close to other guests, despite having empty four-person tables nearby. After finding my confirmation, I went to the front desk to address the mix-up, but the staff was not apologetic about the reservation error and insisted their information was accurate. This left a very negative first impression. Our waitress was quite lovely, but it was clear that we were unhappy. She made a noticeable effort to make things right. The mushroom appetizer came out as bruschetta, which was recommended to be hot, yet one of my partner's dishes arrived stone cold while another was lukewarm. When he pointed this out, we were told it was supposed to be served that way—so why was it served on hot plates? After finishing our meal, we left without any intention of returning."

"Edit one year on. Sat eve, 8pm. Nearly empty restaurant. Last year gave 4 stars....this year struggled to give 2. So what was different? Staff: mostly ok. .just ok. If you are not ready to order then expect a long wait as they forget to return...both for ordering drinks and food. Had to locate someone. Not offered parmesan. Had to ask for pepper as well and waitress said i will try to find some then hunted round the other tables until she located one. Then- there seemed to be a volunteer working there- baggy grey t shirt and old jeans hanging halfway down his bottom.......but omg! Was he actually the manager? Complaints/comments not responded to except see below in food review. Food- just average. The cheese dip starter was just a cheese sauce- no better than I put on my homemade lasagne. Pasta with meatballs- husband struggled to find 3 meatballs. Crab canneloni- tasteless, pappy...ate only one. Courgette fritti...no courgette.....i did mention this and was told it 's hard to find ....so i picked up several random pieces of fried batter and none had courgette in . No feedback from kitchen or manager. On paying when asked if all ok i mentioned it again and they said oh that 's a shame. That was it!! Two good things- beer glass was chilled and the organic wine (i dont usually do organic) was super. Won 't be returning in a hurry. Food is great here. Service friendly. Doesn 't matter what they do to this space it never quite works.....noisy and unwelcoming- hard to hear eachother speak. Certainly not a cosy, couples type place. Prezzo across the road has nice booths but terrible food and service."

"We booked a table and on entering the restaurant were told there was a 45 minute delay, we had booked to go to the cinema based on the times we wanted to eat only 3 kitchen staff on this is the second time it has happened and the restaurant wasn't even that busy. "Booked a table for a catch up with my friend, arrived 5 minutes before our booking. Stood waiting for someone to show us to our table. Someone who I assume was front of house came over to us and just stared at us waiting for us to speak. I mentioned we had a table booked for two, but he just shook his head and said there was no booking. I showed him my confirmation from opentable. He looked around and then walked off assuming we should follow. So we did. We sat down right next to the kitchen and were left there. No one offered drinks. The lighting above was extremely bright and harsh. Felt like a canteen. Which is a shame because we’d just left Portivo lounge where the ambience was lovely and friendly. We got up and left. Terrible service. No apology for the booking confusion. Went back to Portivo and enjoyed the lovely ambience. Will not be returning to Zizzi. Get your act together Zizzi. You have a lot of competition in the area so you can’t assume people will return. You have lost two customers already."
