"Edit one year on. Sat eve, 8pm. Nearly empty restaurant. Last year gave 4 stars....this year struggled to give 2. So what was different? Staff: mostly ok. .just ok. If you are not ready to order then expect a long wait as they forget to return...both for ordering drinks and food. Had to locate someone. Not offered parmesan. Had to ask for pepper as well and waitress said i will try to find some then hunted round the other tables until she located one. Then- there seemed to be a volunteer working there- baggy grey t shirt and old jeans hanging halfway down his bottom.......but omg! Was he actually the manager? Complaints/comments not responded to except see below in food review. Food- just average. The cheese dip starter was just a cheese sauce- no better than I put on my homemade lasagne. Pasta with meatballs- husband struggled to find 3 meatballs. Crab canneloni- tasteless, pappy...ate only one. Courgette fritti...no courgette.....i did mention this and was told it 's hard to find ....so i picked up several random pieces of fried batter and none had courgette in . No feedback from kitchen or manager. On paying when asked if all ok i mentioned it again and they said oh that 's a shame. That was it!! Two good things- beer glass was chilled and the organic wine (i dont usually do organic) was super. Won 't be returning in a hurry. Food is great here. Service friendly. Doesn 't matter what they do to this space it never quite works.....noisy and unwelcoming- hard to hear eachother speak. Certainly not a cosy, couples type place. Prezzo across the road has nice booths but terrible food and service."

It gets even more surprising. When I asked the manager why there was so little meat, he told me that's how it comes; the food is served like that. I couldn’t believe it when he said that it comes pre-packaged! I was left speechless. Had I really spent £14 on a ready meal? To make matters worse, the taste was off as well, and the amount of meat was just unacceptable. Additionally, my order was wrong initially, so I ended up waiting for my meal while everyone else at the table was eating.
