"Great! a welcome change to real food and service : Rooms: We stayed one night Twin room was great nothing too fancy floor was slightly uneven due to age and character : Room was above the bar which went silent at 1030. Clean comfy with all you need. We will definitely be back : Food drinks: Food and service was great! We found ourselves in the bar at 1430, where we relaxed and chatted over numerous G T's with nibbles until We had the excellent Thai Fish Curry, Chef Audrey, grinds and roasts her own spices and is a real food enthusiast. Breakfast was cooked to perfection, we regretted not leaving enough time to savor as we had an early meeting to attend. Next meeting will be later!"

Fantastic place and staff, I cant believe we have never been before. The food was amazing. Chips cooked in dripping fat. Mmmmm. Made us all welcome inc our children. Hinting that hubby takes me for A la Carte meal one night !!!

the only disappointment was that we could only stay 1 night. what a fabulous place, exactly what we all needed. the people couldn't do enough for us. the room was beautiful, eating in the restaurant was just as perfect as the breakfast. beautiful exploration sherwood forest, which is literally 5 minutes away. can not wait to go back and stay here again x

All i can say is this, the food we had was fantastic, well cooked, presented, perfect. The menu had a varied selection, ranging from classic pub fare, to more a la carte. We sat in the bar area, it was busy, but we were served promptly, we weren't rushed, and when we had ordered there wasn't too long to wait for the food to arrive, all in all we had a very enjoyable time,
