"Will not go to this pub again, on booking asked if they catered for vegetarians, was told there were vegetarian options, ordered Sunday roast with vegetarian option was served a huge plate of potatoes, boiled and roast, vast amount of carrots, cabbage and peas, nestled in amongst this was what looked and tasted like a stuffing ball, just the one. Sunday roast options were very poor, small plate one slice of meat, large 2, only do roast on a Sunday so grandson had to have sausages with his. Cheap but you get what you pay for. Best part of the meal was the wine."

Poor service food nothing to write home about the drinks seemed very watery maybe it was just this day but wouldn't have a big get together there. View menu

Friendly staff, couple of good local beers, food was homemade and excellent, spent a good few hours with family and left slightly tipsy and well fed.

A lovely friendly pub offering excellent food, we both opted for the steak pie and chips which was superb (there is an option for small or large portions). I would highly recommend this pub.

Top local pub Stopped here a couple of times on a dog walk with a big group of family and a couple dogs. Clearly a locals pub as in the centre of the village. Staff were friendly and welcoming, locals likewise. Not always the case when you 're an 'out of towner '. Tha KS everyone!

"I’ve just realised I’ve been visiting The Beck for over 20 years now for both drinks and meals with friends and family and I’ve never written a review! The Beck for me is home from home and I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve visited. They say a business is only as good as it’s staff, and maybe this is why The Beck has lasted so long with a reputation for a relaxed atmosphere good food and good service. The staff here are friendly, caring and professional, I’ve never been anywhere where I felt so at home as The Beck. Edward, Julie, Theresa, Kieran and not forgetting Trish in the kitchen make the place what it is! In 20 years I’ve never had a bad meal here, the food is excellent, and today did not disappoint. I was treating my parents and wife to a belated Mother’s Day and Dad’s birthday meal out, I had the lamb roast which was sublime and my dad had the blade of beef which in his words was “melt in your mouth” good! My Wife had a chilli and my Mum had the flat bread, which were also very nice and portions are plentiful. My daughter has Dairy and Soya allergies and wanted sausages and mash however the mash had butter in it so they made it with chips instead, she also cleared her plate! If you want to go somewhere with a nice warm friendly atmosphere and excellent food at very reasonable prices then The Beck is definitely worth a visit."
