"We booked for us to stay on September. We had booked a number of weeks in advance.  There was significant noise outside the room which impinged on a restful night. I think my wife said someone called to say the festival was on but that...was days before our stay and the likelihood of alternative accomodation was low. The second issue was breakfast. We booked for knowing it was checkout. Our order was taken and my wifes breakfast arrived. Mine did not and I had to ask where it was. I was told it was given to someone else and therefore had to be remade. My wife had finished her food and I waited. She went back as we knew it was a checkout and we wanted to try and meet this. As my breakfast didnt arrive until minutes after I arrived) I got back to the room and a cleaner just walked in and started cleaning whilst I was still removing my items. He did not even say anything and ignored me as I tried to access my items This was far from ideal given the delay was not my fault. I was rushed and had no time to even use the bathroom to freshen up.  I messaged the venue and was ignored with my issues."

Stayed here for the night while visiting Lincoln, lovely friendly atmosphere. Rooms are located in the old converted barn, excellent cooked breakfast. Would stay again!

Another excellent meal at our local, the lord Nelson. All meals were fantastic but my son and his girlfriend who regularly have steak at different venues said their steaks were the best they have ever had.

The food at this restaurant is delicious and homemade. The service is excellent and the beer selection is great. The menu is small but offers a variety of options including pizza, British dishes, and burgers. I will definitely be returning. Main dishes are priced around the mid-range mark starting in April. The Lord Nelson pub, restaurant, and bar is a charming establishment located in the heart of the city. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make for a delightful dining experience. The menu offers a variety of tasty dishes, with a focus on traditional British cuisine. The drinks selection is impressive, with a wide range of beers, wines, and cocktails to choose from. Overall, the Lord Nelson is a great spot to enjoy good food, drinks, and company.

We spent a magical Saturday night at this charming restaurant, which served as a meeting point for friends coming from different directions. Despite being out-of-towners, we felt warmly welcomed by the locals. The food was delicious, the rooms were well-appointed, and the morning coffee was perfect. Although we missed out on breakfast, the overall experience was fantastic. The homemade dinner was a highlight, and we highly recommend making a reservation. I wish I had a place like this in my own neighborhood!

New specials menu for December..... definitely worth a visit. The cranberry wellington was amazing...... so full of flavours and refreshingly different. Cooked from fresh, beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked. I tasted my partner's chicken breast wrapped in bacon and was very...impressed.... lovely moist chicken stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in a very tasty bacon with a very flavoursome sauce. Very reasonably priced, all cooked from fresh ingredients and served by friendly, attentive, professional staff. I definitely recommend the Lord Nelson. View menu

Went for a meal last night decided to go for the small plates they have on offer, these were fantastic and full of flavour. Chef even cooked something that was not on the menu for me. They are more than happy for you to talk...to them if you can not see what you like on the menu if they have the ingredients they are more than happy to cook it for you. We also had a really good bottle of wine to go with the meal. Anyone that has not tried the food yet I advise to give it a go. Everything is cooked freshly to order and worth waiting for. Look forward to the next meal we have there.

with friends for a meal that we were so excited to go in a long time. we all wanted to order the steaks on the menu, they had one left of us! other dishes to choose, my friend wanted to consider a huh they had no, they had a cattleburger. I ordered a hühnerburger, the presentation was beautiful and impressive. the burger tasted ok, but the speck was very salty and too much cheese. the wobble ring was not well cooked and still raw, the chips had been boiled in old oil, they were very dark and they did not have hot ketchup in the Heinz bottles it is very casual, hopefully they will have more food stored when we go back. the staff was great, and the pub is beautiful, only missing in the restaur...

"I’ve just realised I’ve been visiting The Beck for over 20 years now for both drinks and meals with friends and family and I’ve never written a review! The Beck for me is home from home and I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve visited. They say a business is only as good as it’s staff, and maybe this is why The Beck has lasted so long with a reputation for a relaxed atmosphere good food and good service. The staff here are friendly, caring and professional, I’ve never been anywhere where I felt so at home as The Beck. Edward, Julie, Theresa, Kieran and not forgetting Trish in the kitchen make the place what it is! In 20 years I’ve never had a bad meal here, the food is excellent, and today did not disappoint. I was treating my parents and wife to a belated Mother’s Day and Dad’s birthday meal out, I had the lamb roast which was sublime and my dad had the blade of beef which in his words was “melt in your mouth” good! My Wife had a chilli and my Mum had the flat bread, which were also very nice and portions are plentiful. My daughter has Dairy and Soya allergies and wanted sausages and mash however the mash had butter in it so they made it with chips instead, she also cleared her plate! If you want to go somewhere with a nice warm friendly atmosphere and excellent food at very reasonable prices then The Beck is definitely worth a visit."
