Creamy Middle Eastern ice cream with elastic texture, flavored with mastic and rosewater. Refreshing and unique dessert.

"I had a wonderful experience today! We went for an early meal with the family after our bowling session. I mentioned to the waitress, who I believe was named Kat, that I'm vegan, and she was incredibly helpful. She provided me with a separate vegan menu and recommended some of the best dishes since she’s vegan as well. The food was delicious, and even my picky 8-year-old enjoyed it. Kat was very friendly and kept us updated on how long our food would take. I will definitely be returning!"

The service is equally impressive, with attentive and friendly staff who enhance the overall experience. The atmosphere adds to the charm, creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment. Highly recommended!"

"What a shame . Our local restaurant of 8 years must have been took over by new management. Past 5+ deliveries (due to lock down otherwise we’d have been in the restaurant have been wrong with either bits missing or wrong orders. Called again after usual popadom onions and sauce missing and told that these wasn’t ordered so our fault. Explained these have always been included and told not their problem and hung up. On the lookout for new place. Certainly won’t be there again"

"Nice airy cafe you can sit outside. I think it's possibly part of a chain. Has a good vegan breakfast. We couldn't find anywhere else for breakfast in portishead . Has a veggie and vegan separate menu."

"I only stopped by here for a quick drink so I am really only commenting on the pub and the service in this review although I plan to come back to eat and possibly stay while walking the South Downs Way. I had been out in Alfriston for the day with the new boy and after a visit to the local gallery and a glorious walk through the Sussex countryside, we popped in her for a quick glass of red before heading home. The pub, like everything in the picturesque village of Alfriston, is old (14th century) and quaint. Think open fires, low wooded beams and lots of character. Wanting to make the most of the early spring sunshine we sat in the garden which is also beautiful. The service was reasonably friendly if a little brisk and the wine was decidedly average, but the surrounding more than made up for this. We bumped into friends that were having the Sunday roast and they also commented that they had waited a long time for the food and there was nothing special about it, I would like to try this for myself though before making a judgment, maybe something from the al la carte menu which look pretty tasty. I will be back and will happily update my review when I can judge the food for myself!"

"Dry lamb, dry chicken, average seekh kebab, barely any meat for £9.95. Having grown up next to Bradford, I can confidently say that if there was any decent competition around here for this place, it would likely close down. I'd rather pay the fuel to go to international or shezaans than ever frequent this place again. Stupid enough to go a few times but this was the last straw. Cheap nasty food a high prices. Lol at the owners response.. fine dining hahahaha. I'm not after a cheap meal you fool I'm after good quality food, something you don't serve. You left Bradford because they'd spit your food out there and came out to the sticks where people don't know what good curry is. Based on your idiotic reply I've dropped you to one star from two. We've dined out plenty at the Grantham, Hideaway, tap on the tutt, the wild swan.. all more expensive than you and we frequently return.. because they're good quality."

"Went here for lunch with some family. Very very busy, we were told unable to reserve a table and we had to wait for a table to become available, which we didn’t mind waiting. Extensive menu, plenty to choose from. Loved the decor inside, proper cosy cafe. Food was excellent, however, some staff (not all) had a poor attitude. Completely understand stress at busy times. We felt like we were causing bother when ordering and asking for cutlery and napkins which weren’t given to us. Not very cheery or welcoming but would visit again."

"Walked into the park was greeted by two lovely ladies Keeley and summa very pleasant and friendly they were, I was served straight away, spoke to them as I was in my own they made me feel very welcome talked to me about the offers and events they are having on in the coming months. I will be back again, very lovely place warm and welcoming staff and cheap drinks. They are currently in the middle of recreating the old kids room back to its original state for children. Clean warm and cheap prices Thank you again for the 5 star serve Keeley and summa"

"I performed here yesterday, and I have to say that the staff and management were incredibly welcoming. The hospitality was outstanding! I highly recommend staying here; you’ll find comfortable rooms, well-kept beer, and excellent food. The Green Dragon is fantastic!"

"This restaurant lacks cooking skills and serves tasteless and poorly presented food. It was a waste of time and money to travel 25 miles from Slough for their supposedly authentic Indian cuisine on Eid dinner. The few dishes offered were bland and served in a congested and dirty environment. The untrained team members lacked manners when dealing with customers. The high prices charged for subpar food make it not worth visiting, as it's a waste of time, money, and energy."

"A return visit, but the first since the change of ownership. We arrived before midday, not having a reservation, but were seated easily on a quiet day. There were only two staff and service was a little slow, but nothing to moan about. I'm not sure what the reason was; the first sunny day for quite a while, the first weekday of the half term holiday, but suddenly the place was inundated and the staff, who obviously weren't expecting it, just couldn't cope there was queue out of the door! Everything unravelled from there. Luckily our order had been taken and our food arrived in good time, but another drink or a cup of coffee would have taken forever, so I paid and left! The food was OK, but not what it used to be. The place remains very much the same, but taken as a whole the experience was not as good as usual. I'll go back again, just to see if this was a one off, but I do think Young's Brewery needs to be more on the ball here. I should add, the staff were both very friendly and helpful, but were just overwhelmed."

"Never ordered from here before but had a voucher and our normal Indian takeaway wasn't an option. Unfortunately we were not at all impressed! Food was on time, which was something! However, it wasn't very warm when it arrived and when we opened the curries they were swimming in oil/grease! They were also extremely bland and tasteless, so much so that we threw the left overs we had away. The peshwari naan was also disappointing! The rice and onion bhajis we're ok though. Won't be ordering again"

"We had a brilliant Sunday Roast at The Green Dragon. Everything was cooked to perfection and so tasty. We all had different meats and all praised them. We were also impressed that the gravy was ’real’ and not water with granules. The dessert menu had a good choice and once again we really enjoyed these. Staff were friendly and efficient. All in all a great meal so we will be returning. Thank you to all staff."

"This was our first visit since the ferry changed hands. The biggest change for us was the food. The food is different but still good! We went on a Saturday, so can't comment on the Sunday roast but we tried a fair sample of the plates. For starters, we had a soup and a pate. Both went down very well. The soup was a vegetable soup, thick and dull of veggie chunks. The pate was a generous wedge. For mains, we had a steak and kidney pie, fish and chips, half roast chicken, and a fish goujon sandwich. The pie was well filled and a suet pastry for a change. Fish and chips, a fair portion and light looking batter. The half roast chicken was a fairly large bird and the fish goujon sandwich was well filled and tasty. Dessert was a sticky toffee pudding- nice and light, and a fruit crumble with custard, slightly tart but a nice balance against the custard. Service was fast and the team were friendly. We will be back to try the Sunday roasts soon! Price per person: £40–50 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Went last night for a meal with a couple of friends. I’ve been many times before because this is my local and it is consistently good. We were given the heads up when we sat down that the kitchen was busier than normal so there would be a bit of a wait, a while later a waitress told us they were sorry about the wait (we hadn’t really noticed) and that our order would be out next. As an apology they gave us a free drink which was lovely. Our food was all great and they even gave us some sourdough to take home because they had loads left over. Couldn’t fault their customer service and the quality of food."

"We had a fantastic meal at Fat Loaf last night! We enjoyed sharing starters, like Tapas. Every dish on the menu was absolutely delicious - from the lamb tacos and beef croquettes, to the prawn and chorizo and chilli crab pasta. And we topped it off with creme brulee! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience."

"We have often had pizzas from here and always enjoyed them, so today, after a walk nearby with my husband and daughter, we dropped in, however we were quite hungry and so decided that a panini may be a better choice as it shouldn 't take so long to cook, how wrong we were! On the menu was a tuna, cheese and onion panini but as my daughter does not like onion, I ordered one without, the girl looked a little confused, as she only knows the paninis by name (Joan! so, I repeated One Joan but with no onion please I also ordered 2 Ruperts (ham and cheese paninis! We then waited 25 minutes, having commented that we could have gone home and made them ourselves by now. Strangely the paninis were made with pizza dough! (so not paninis at all then! this made them extremely thin indeed, with not much filling to make up for it. The 'Joan ' came complete with onions despite having asked for it without (twice . All three of us were left very unimpressed and came away hungry. Stick to pizzas guys!"

"We were lucky enough to experience the taster menu twice last year, a wonderful experience which has stayed in our memory. This year we visited Wheelers with a couple of friends for lunch, unfortunately due to timings we were unable to book for the taster menu in the evening. The restaurant was very busy, but we had booked well in advance for our table of 4. Service initially was a little rushed, but still friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food, once again, was sensational, everything from crab cakes which apparently have been on the menu for 25 years), cod, served with gazpacho, lobster lasagne, sea trout, perfectly cooked scallops, Oriental prawn and scallop dumplings, beautiful fresh Whitstable native oysters and the list goes on... As if this wasn't enough, a myriad of delights on the deli counter on the way out. We could never tire of this place, or the innovative new dishes or even the old faithfuls). Just wish we were closer to Whitstable! One not to miss."

"My friends and I dined at this restaurant last night. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with both the food and service. The burgers and fries we ordered were all cold and extremely salty, making them inedible. The cheese and onion fries we ordered were soggy, salty, cold, and covered in bottled squeezy cheese, making it difficult to enjoy. The prices were also exorbitant, with £7.50 for the fries and £12.75 for a glass of wine. The servers simply dropped off our food without plates, and we had to ask for them. They never came back to check on us, only appearing again when it was time to present the bill with a £21 tip added. Overall, it was a terrible experience and I would not recommend this restaurant. "Six of us came here for dinner. Lovely atmosphere, attentive staff and big thanks to chef for not overcooking the calves liver pink at our request and beautifully soft and delicious. Friends who had fish and chips were really happy too. Tasty and generous portions. Sadly can't give 5 stars because unlike the other dishes we ordered, the veggie burger was tiny, dry, sad looking and with miserly portion of chips. If the Vic can sort out the veggie choices we'll certainly be back with our friends."
