"we arrived shortly after 1 hour and there were no places, there were five of us. the manager was very helpful and suggested that a table was ready and had just gone so that we had this table and made him ready for us. while we waited, we ordered in cash. the service was very good, eating was hot and very tasty. would recommend it to any young and old. they also have a gluten-free and vegan menu."

"Lovely staff and service. Had run out of the kebabs that were personally recommended (at 7.30pm) and also my second choice of ham hock, but my third choice of pie of the day was great. The draft San Miguel was perfect. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"If you are looking for authentic Indian cuisine, do not order from Indian Sizzler Restaurant in Watford. Despite its name, the food here seems to be prepared the Bangladeshi way, which is quite different from traditional Indian cooking. My experience with their food was very disappointing. I ordered Butter Chicken and Lamb Chops via Deliveroo. The Butter Chicken was not what I expected at all; instead of the creamy, rich dish I was hoping for, I received large pieces of chicken hastily dumped in an orange coconut curry. It was far from the authentic Butter Chicken I'm used to. As for the Lamb Chops, they were inedible – extremely hard to chew and dry. Moreover, when I called the restaurant to explain that the food did not meet our expectations, the staff were very rude and dismissive over the phone. This level of customer service is unacceptable. Overall, if you want genuine Indian food, I would suggest looking elsewhere. My experience at Indian Sizzler was thoroughly disappointing in both taste and service. Also you may wish to see the one star reviews that others have also stated."

"A return visit, but the first since the change of ownership. We arrived before midday, not having a reservation, but were seated easily on a quiet day. There were only two staff and service was a little slow, but nothing to moan about. I'm not sure what the reason was; the first sunny day for quite a while, the first weekday of the half term holiday, but suddenly the place was inundated and the staff, who obviously weren't expecting it, just couldn't cope there was queue out of the door! Everything unravelled from there. Luckily our order had been taken and our food arrived in good time, but another drink or a cup of coffee would have taken forever, so I paid and left! The food was OK, but not what it used to be. The place remains very much the same, but taken as a whole the experience was not as good as usual. I'll go back again, just to see if this was a one off, but I do think Young's Brewery needs to be more on the ball here. I should add, the staff were both very friendly and helpful, but were just overwhelmed."

"wow, what a jewel! my wife and I ate on Sunday afternoon on this “plum” of a restaurant. I was amazed to have studied the menu before booking to see that a very large of the dishes in the offer shown free as gluten, something that has now paramount recently been diagnosed with celiac disease. there was a free dish served by popcorn, which had been aromatized with its own wobble the flavor of the restaurant, which was a real tastener. we followed with the curry goat, which served as a generous part, reisbäsen, a part curry goat gravy, jerk ripen, plantain, homemade coleslaw, and fries, who had blown the same twist of hurdles as the popcorn on them. we also chose some of the immersing sauces to give an additional hauch of choking only for the case. we have the idea of ordering also a plastered steak (they know how it is when they are really hungry), but were recommended against this by the dame who advised our order that the portions were quite generous and we had ordered a lot, and moreover we could always add to the order when our food had arrived. we also ordered a bottle of pino grigio to ash it al down. What do you want me to say? this was by far the best tasting and well cooked and served Caribbean cuisine that we have experienced, it was exceptional. we had no place for a pudding, but there was a lot to choose on the menu. When the bill came, we were thrilled and amazed that it all came around 60, which also excellent price-performance ratio. we will definitely be back, I recommend this jewel. enjoys!"

"It was very reassuring to eat here for vegan options. They have a printed vegan menu available upon request. This takes the hassle out of trying to request custom dishes as is the norm elsewhere. One of the few restaurants that offer a vegan onion bhaji which was very appreciated. I can also recommend the Madras. This restaurant is a model example of how to cater for those with dietary requirements I will be returning!"

"My friends and I dined at this restaurant last night. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with both the food and service. The burgers and fries we ordered were all cold and extremely salty, making them inedible. The cheese and onion fries we ordered were soggy, salty, cold, and covered in bottled squeezy cheese, making it difficult to enjoy. The prices were also exorbitant, with £7.50 for the fries and £12.75 for a glass of wine. The servers simply dropped off our food without plates, and we had to ask for them. They never came back to check on us, only appearing again when it was time to present the bill with a £21 tip added. Overall, it was a terrible experience and I would not recommend this restaurant. Save your time and money and dine at one of the many better options in Leeds. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2"

"This was our first visit since the ferry changed hands. The biggest change for us was the food. The food is different but still good! We went on a Saturday, so can't comment on the Sunday roast but we tried a fair sample of the plates. For starters, we had a soup and a pate. Both went down very well. The soup was a vegetable soup, thick and dull of veggie chunks. The pate was a generous wedge. For mains, we had a steak and kidney pie, fish and chips, half roast chicken, and a fish goujon sandwich. The pie was well filled and a suet pastry for a change. Fish and chips, a fair portion and light looking batter. The half roast chicken was a fairly large bird and the fish goujon sandwich was well filled and tasty. Dessert was a sticky toffee pudding- nice and light, and a fruit crumble with custard, slightly tart but a nice balance against the custard. Service was fast and the team were friendly. We will be back to try the Sunday roasts soon! Price per person: £40–50 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"So, as anybody who is from this area, this beautiful pub has been through the ‘Mill’ over the last couple of years……. Changes of ownership, management etc have never brought it back to its hey day years…… However, it’s recently been taken over, but this time to a team that obviously care! It’s clean! Really clean! The Ale is fantatstic and there is now a really lovely atmosphere once again…… ‘Nova’ the landlords dog is a delight, as is Kieron and Kayleigh who also run The White Hart it seems….. Food is planned to return soon with a plated roast on a Sunday which we all cannot wait for!!! So, if you want to be warmed by real fires, a happy atmosphere and love real ale like myself, then, happily, The Dragon is well and truly back on the list of pubs to frequent in Wymondham!!!"

"Came for food admittedly it was last minute. Was told to order within 10 minutes if we wanted food. So we ordered straight away. Food came out fast which was nice. It was tasty. The woman who brought it out was lovely. We were enjoying eating our food when a skinny bar man decided to tell us we needed take away boxes. So we started to hurry our food. He then came back to see if we were hurrying and before we could even clear the plates he came to take them away. We then turned round to see the manager who was starring at us in a very rude manner. We understand you need to close but we still had 15 minutes until closing time to continue to finish our food and drinks. There was people in the section opposite us they continued to enjoy their drinks even after we left and they were not treated this badly. We would have been finished in time had we not been ‘shooed off’ and left a good review. We spent nearly £60 for this bad treatment. Would not recommend if you’re looking for a nice chilled out meal with good service. It’s unacceptable."

"This busy little pub monopolises the area but the staff were excellent in serving, taking orders and apologetic for any inconvenience (the blonde girl was excellent). It’s traditional and rustic charm means you have to accept some basic comforts and conveniences but we loved it. If you’re looking for polished and sanitised environment then go to Wetherspoons (yawn). It was good to see and taste gravity fed beer poured from barrels behind the bar supporting local breweries. Now the food. Superb. The steak was just delicious and the burger (normally a bog standard offering) just divine. We sat in what looked like an old small larder room with thick walls but with candle lit tables added to its quirkiness and charm. Relax, buy a local beer and jpeople watch. You’ll see observe old money mingled with new money and no money (us) which makes for an entertaining evening."

"My new favorite roast dinner in Leamington! Save your money and come here for a delightful Sunday roast. Prices are brilliant. Around £12 for a small roast dinner (which was plenty big enough) where you get the freshest ingredients and tender meat. The starters are awesome too we definitely recommend the spam fritters! The service is what really does it for me though here every member of staff is on their game and determined for you to have a great experience. It really shows! Little wait time and they rarely run out of ingredients. Much better than wasting money at places like Star and Garter where you wait for hours and they never have the food you ordered!!"

"We stumbled across this place whilst in Tavistock and decided to stop for breakfast. The interior is lovely and just what we were looking for. The food was lovely although maybe a little overpriced but I could cope with that. When we arrived the atmosphere was lovely and happy but it all changed when a lady that I can only presume is the owner arrived and it all changed. We could hear the lady bickering with staff and it really was not pleasant. However the thing that would stop me ever returning is the service charge!!!! I am always happy the tip, however I don’t agree with being forced to tip when food is already pricey and then when you pay the machine asks you for gratuity when people may not be aware they have already paid a service charge!! Will be going elsewhere next time."

"I’m very disappointed to have to write this review. My friend and I drove over 40 minutes to get to this pub for lunch. We walked in at 2:05, the website says they stop serving lunch at 2:30. We kindly asked the waitress (who had her back turned to us. if they were still serving lunch, to which she said yes. The moment the waitress turned around and looked at my friend and I she immediately said, “Actually, we are not. The kitchen is closed.” We were put off by this, but ordered a drink to be polite. The moment we sat down at our table another customer walked in and is served lunch immediately. My friend is a UK resident and I am visiting from abroad. We enjoy going to new pubs so we can recommend them to friends and family."

"Had a great meal at The Grumpy Mole on Friday evening. We hadn't booked but took a chance and just turned up. We asked to sit outside and found a lovely spot on the terrace under the shade of a welcome parasol. Our waitress was very efficient, friendly and polite. The food was served in a timely manner and everything felt relaxed and very welcoming. The two starters we enjoyed were the smoked salmon parcel and cheese bacon potato skins, both absolutely sublime. For mains we had the Cajun burger with fries, coleslaw and salad, and calves liver, bacon, onions with mash and vegetables. Both delicious. Everything cooked to our liking, so very happy tummies! Can't wait to return here for another great meal in a lovely setting. Had to add another review, as we went back for a great lunch on Saturday. It was a very rainy day but that was completely forgotten the moment we entered The Royal Oak. The waiting staff were absolutely brilliant, made us feel so welcome and valued. We were offered a very cosy table in The Alcove. We chose the lamb rump with Dauphinoise potatoes and vegetables, and the Steak and ale pie with new potatoes and vegetables. Absolutely delicious! This place has become a real gem and the staff appear so committed to giving you a really special experience. A big thanks to everyone at the Grumpy Mole Oxted!"

"We booked here for a family meal of 16 on the 11 Dec after a fab morning at the pantomime. It was the first time we had been here and we loved it. It had a wonderful Christmas feeling that just helped to round off our day and the food was amazing! Every one of us all ages) enjoyed our dinner and we would go back again at a drop of a hat. It was very busy and the staff didn't seem to have time to breath but remained friendly and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful meal x"

"I wanted to try so much Lebanese when I was in london and my sister promised to bring me to a great place. but unfortunately this never happened so that I drove one day around this market when I saw this restaurant and decided to try the shawarma. I took one off later. the service was fast, but eating was normal. try to find a better place, maybe to inspire their taste buds"

"Me and my friend came to the Prince Rupert on the off chance to get out of the rain. We’re so glad we did! Wow! The team were so friendly and welcoming and the pub itself is quaint, quirky and cosy. We had some drinks, which were lovely and ordered food. We started with the camembert which was so good that we sat in silence the whole time it was on the table. Flavours were to die for. The food was absolutely incredible, we’ve been eating out for 10+ years and this is hands down the best meal out we have had. We both had the steak and ale pie, one with mash one with chips. Every single aspect was perfect! We agreed two mouthfuls in that the pie was the best pie we had ever had. Vegetables were cooked to perfection and presentation was perfect. It was a really heart warming, stomach filling meal and experience and we cannot wait to come back to the Prince Rupert."
