"This was our first visit since the ferry changed hands. The biggest change for us was the food. The food is different but still good! We went on a Saturday, so can't comment on the Sunday roast but we tried a fair sample of the plates. For starters, we had a soup and a pate. Both went down very well. The soup was a vegetable soup, thick and dull of veggie chunks. The pate was a generous wedge. For mains, we had a steak and kidney pie, fish and chips, half roast chicken, and a fish goujon sandwich. The pie was well filled and a suet pastry for a change. Fish and chips, a fair portion and light looking batter. The half roast chicken was a fairly large bird and the fish goujon sandwich was well filled and tasty. Dessert was a sticky toffee pudding- nice and light, and a fruit crumble with custard, slightly tart but a nice balance against the custard. Service was fast and the team were friendly. Excellent fixed price lunch served and good value. Service attentive but not overbearing. Fully recommendable establishment for dining. Its only drawback being somewhat restricted parking space in village especially at busy times.

Stopping in Stratford and some how came across this little gem when looking for somewhere to eat. Can highly reccomend, very friendly staff and customers alike.. The food was delicious, with a lovely selection of excellent home cooked, high quality food. Could not fault our visit in anyway and would highly recommend.
