"Poor service and rude manager. I dined at Taste of China this evening along with two friends. I ordered a glass of white wine which tasted very bad. I had 3 sips and couldn't bare the taste. I therefore opted for water. Upon receiving the bill, I informed the male manager that the wine tasted very bad (although it was actually toxic and tasted worse than bleach I was trying to be polite) and that was the reason I hadn't drunk the wine. He said that there was nothing wrong with the wine and the issue was with my personal taste. He did not offer to remove the cost of the wine from the bill. "The restaurant has delicious food and friendly staff. We first tried it a year ago when our usual Friday night spot was closed, and we haven't returned to our old place since. We always order from Wok Express through Deliveroo. The staff is always friendly and the food is consistently delicious. "The restaurant rated well on urbanspoon so we thought we'd try it. We ordered two meat thalis and a side of tarka daal. There was a lot on the table and one thali would have sufficed for both of us. The one vegetable dish in the thali was a little bland in comparison to the others but all in all we weren't disappointed, and the bonus was the price was reasonable Closest tube station is Royal Oak."

Absolutely filthy I strongly avoid and recommend no body eat here I wouldn’t even feed this food to a homeless person it would just be bang out of order to do so. "We were seated by the window which was lovely and seen to within minutes but my only remark would be it was very rushed so you never had time to enjoy every course before the next one was out infront of you. "This was our first visit to Zarda which was an achievement in itself as my husband is not too partial to Indian food. However, he thoroughly enjoyed his meal and went so far to say that it was one of the best meals he had recently. Compliments to the chef! The food was very well presented, tasty and portion size good. The only negative comment I would offer is that the restaurant was too cold for dining. The building is very old and probably does not have concrete foundations; the staff had the radiators on, extra heaters and an open fire but it was still on the chilly side. Probably best visited when the weather warms up. Parking is on the street and it was particularly busy the evening we visited. However, I would certainly visit again and have no hesitation in recommending the food."
