"The restaurant has delicious food and friendly staff. We first tried it a year ago when our usual Friday night spot was closed, and we haven't returned to our old place since. We always order from Wok Express through Deliveroo. The staff is always friendly and the food is consistently delicious. Be sure to try the gold lucky cookies when they are available, they are the best I've ever had. Not only are the messages sweet, but they taste amazing too!"

"Fantastic as always. We love this place! We don’t live locally and travel into Brighton just for this Chinese. We even travel in to collect a takeaway. The staff are friendly and efficient. It’s not cheap (or super expensive), but you definitely get what you pay for. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for a Chinese."

"i would really advise strongly against using the services of this restaurant .ive used them three times and never again. im an experienced waiter of many years standing and have never and would never give such bad service to a customer or i wouldnt have a job.my first time ordering a received a call after some time asking to come down to a car to pick up my food.i informed the driver to ring my bell(i live in a house)and bring my food to me.he then buzzed my bell and came up the stairs huffing and puffing as if i was putting him out.he obviously doesn't understand what delivery means.he was so miserable i was really worried that my food could have been maliciously interfered with.i went through the same experience twice more although i always tipped him.i went to order again and was told we dont deliver to you anymore .use uber eats and the phone was dropped twice on me.this is so shocking im enraged and words fail me that this kind of attitude happens in the uk.if your driver doesent want to deliver get on that does want to.these points have already been covered in many other reviews,very negative experience and just generally very unpleasant.thank god there many other restaurants in the area ,so i dont have to give support to such unprofessional outfits"

"Shocking Customer Service Experience Cannot Recommend Tonight we are hosting a gathering at our home in Yalding with eight friends and decided to try Zarda after not using them for years. Unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing. When we called to place our order, the employee who answered the phone seemed to be struggling with their system. Our phone number wouldn't register, and they couldn't find our information. Despite providing our phone number three times, the employee's tone became increasingly angry and frustrated, as if it was our fault that their system couldn't locate our details from our mobile. We asked if they could simply add us as new customers, but the employee was clearly unwilling to help and seemed disinterested in our order. At this point we have not given him any additional information to manually add us or try. We suggested trying another establishment if this is being to difficult, the employee actually agreed, which was shocking to us. We strongly recommend avoiding this place. Save yourself the trouble and choose another restaurant instead."

"We order a lot from Jool however it is normally done via Just Eat. The food has been always great and they are normally on time if not early with delivery. Today we ordered direct and our order is still not with us.. Phoned the restaurant twice and being told food is on the way…the guy is literally round the corner. With the restaurant literally 5 minutes up the road I don’t see why it is taking over 35 mins to get to us…! Would order through this place however not direct takes triple the time and now I am almost certain if I even get my food tonight it will be cold after being driven around for 35+ mins! "I went for dinner and after checking TripAdvisor/ opentable reviews. Unfortunately it doesn’t tell the true story We paid £200 for 2 pax, the restaurant is old and uncomfortable, the plastic menu with pictures already gives you the feeling of the terrible experience ahead. We requested the Gavi, but it was a cheap Gavi that we get for £3.00 in Tesco. We came here for the oysters but we were told they were out of them, but surprisingly when the platter came they had oyster, so their “ speciality “ as they said is oysters gratin, being oysters with melted cheese on top, definitely worst combination ever, why would you do that. We ask for the prawns and scallops for starters, both overcooked, bland and flavourless. Mains, we asked one of their platter with lobster/ prawns/ seafood and chips who came soggy in the bottom and no seasoning. We also asked for the octopus, it came raw, we asked to be cooked properly and they brought it back burned to a crisp. We did not ask for anything else, left most of it there. All was frozen, bland and tasteless. Service was not existence and the few interactions we had it was from waiters who really did not want to be hospitable to anyone. Awful experience, the reviews are definitely fake. DO NOT GO"
