"We had a fabulous evening meal at Corse Lawn restaurant. The actual room could do with a bit of a make over. Most of the pairings were crooked and there were cobwebs on the wall light shades but it sort of added to the quirkiness of it. Can’t fault the food it was really excellent. The wine list was quite extensive but not so that you couldn’t get through it. Can highly recommend. The hotel is owned by the Hine (cognac) family which is why the wine list is excellent. The bar has plenty of choice and we sat in the lounge area for our coffee and petit fours (homemade)."

"When our food finally arrived, it was mediocre at best. The flavors were bland and uninspiring, and the presentation was lackluster. We were left disappointed and underwhelmed by the whole experience. Overall, our visit to the Savoy Grill was a letdown. We had high expectations for a memorable dining experience, but unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. We would not recommend this restaurant to others looking for a special dining experience in London."

They have a sorbet as dessert currently but the staff said they are working on introducing other dessert options! "I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. We arrived with a reservation for 6 people at 7:30 pm and ordered drinks and food at the bar. However, when we sat down at our table at 9 pm, we had only received our drinks and no food. After inquiring, we were told by the waiter that our order had just gone through, meaning we had waited over an hour for our food. Some of the starters we received were stone cold, including pork ribs that were inedible. When we mentioned this to our waiter, there was no apology or offer to rectify the situation. The main courses were decent, but the evening had already been ruined. We even had to pay for additional drinks before they were served to us. There was no gesture of apology or reduction in price for the terrible starters. I will not be returning to this restaurant, as the staff clearly lack proper customer service skills. They were too preoccupied with menial tasks like folding napkins to realize that customers were waiting for their food, which the kitchen was unaware of."

"I visited last night with my wife. We were very kind and polite with them, basically in a very nice mood. We were given a small lovely 2 seat table at the edge of the restaurant. 1. The hostess informed us that the Tagine was better than the tagines from Agadir in Morocco. We actually had visited a great little authentic place in a village outside of Agadir which was absolutely delicious, so although we were a little skeptical her confidence made us very excited and looking forward to ordering tagines. The waitress was very cheerful and friendly. 2. The menu was different to the menus which they have on both the Internet and their own website. Still, we ordered lamb tagine, and lamb shank (the fish tagine was not available . 3. LAMB TAGINE: absolutely disgusting. The 2 prunes and some almonds would suggest a certain flavour of dish, however the bland lamb (apart from the over peppering which choked and lingered in the throat sitting in a puddle of water drowned everything away. It tasted like water was poured onto the dish moments before serving. 4. LAMB SHANK: this was half decent. over spiced though. The lentils in the dish were like an Indian dish, so if you want a middle eastern lamb shank mixed with lentils from an Indian restaurant then you may like. 5. We arrived at 7:30pm. At 8:40pm, after the waitress offered to bring over the deserts menu and while she was getting it, the waiter gave us our bill and shoved the card machine in my face. At that moment the restaurant was half full (or empty! , however he instructed us to pay as they apparently had a booking. It seemed that despite the restaurant having ample empty tables, they needed our small 2 seater table-which was beside 2 other (empty! 2 seater tables. I informed him that the waitress is expecting us to order desert, yet he didn’t seem to care and just wanted us gone. Even though my wife was less than half way through finishing her drink. The waitress arrived with our deserts menu, which the waiter didn’t seem to care. NOTE: They add a 12.5% service charge to the bill. This is optional for the customer, however they casually include it when punching in the bill amount in the machine. 6. We took our half finished drink to the bar as the waitress told us to have our desert and tea there. Sadly the whole bar area smells of the toilet which is nearby. So while we were deciding to sit away from the toilet, the hostess approached us and very rudely told us to quickly decide and sit down. I am so glad I decided to leave. Their bad service, terrible food, and smelly bar fortunately didn’t ruin our day. We continued our night in the west end laughing about this experience. Swearing to never eat there ever again. But skeptical and gobsmacked about some of Levant and Kenza’s (same restaurant, different name and location positive reviews. Hope this review helps people to avoid wasting their money. Ps. £3.95 for a small glass of flat, watered down coke!"

However, we had to wait an hour and a half for our starters and nearly an hour for our mains, which was quite excessive, especially given the high prices. "Had a wonderful one-night stay at this magnificent property only 20 mins away from Oxford. The Feathers hold such a rich history, it is worth a visit regardless. We parked for free in the fire station parking which was only 3-5 mins walk from the hotel. Our room was nicely decorated and stocked with essentials. The reception staff and waiting staff were cheery and easy to talk to. Some guests wished us good morning, it absolutely made our day. Lastly, words are not enough to describe how amazing the breakfast banana walnut bread served with cream fresh was!! Thank you very much team at The Feathers."

"Charlottes W5 used to be one of our favourite places to eat and to entertain friends but recently things seem to have gone a bit wrong here. When we arrived we were told that most of the fresh fish dishes were not available because the supplier had not delivered possibly a worrying sign?The sweet potato gnocchi were not good, the other mains were ok. The service however was very patchy and not up to standard for the prices they charge, in my opinion. it wasn't busy but we had to attract attention to order and ask for the drinks menu twice. Chips were forgotten, coffee was forgotten, the staff looked harassed. On the plus side, the starters arrived promptly and were good (although for some reason the Caesar salad was not available? Odd) and the waitress offered a free pudding in exchange for one plate of uneaten gnocchi. We may return ourselves but regrettably I don't think we'll be taking the chance of inviting friends there again."

"we visited the krone in egham, but do not have the opportunity to visit them. we discovered this pub that is in the same chain and served the same menu (almost). it is fast to our local pub. look at the brot and the butter pudding, this is the best of all time! the duck seems to never be available, however, and Sunday triple roast does not live entirely up to expectations, but overall we have visited several, only for the other excellent dishes and the service. dogs are also welcome."

"Lovely pub with good atmosphere and prompt friendly service. The food was disappointing though even though we ordered from the more expensive main menu. The fish pie was bland and contained mostly air and very little fish. The sausages were dry and tasted as though they had been cooked earlier and then microwaved. The barbecue sauce that was supposed to be on the Hunter's Chicken was a blended tin of tomatoes and the chicken salad was over-powered by raw onion. Great real ale though so would go again for a drink but not to eat."

"I did have an issue with the parking, as the lot is managed by an ANPR camera. You have to input your license plate to get four hours of free parking, but they don't provide a receipt as proof. This is concerning because if I get a payment demand in the mail, I won't have any evidence to show that I properly registered. ANPR companies have a reputation for being troublesome, which was frustrating, and I wouldn't have chosen this place if I had known about this system ahead of time.
