"he was taken away from caravan during the pandemic. I had tried the chili salt tofu small plate and the kicherbse dahl kornschale. both were delicious with deep, complex aromes. I found the grain bowl to satisfy, but the chili salt tofu was a bit too small for the price, my opinion after. would definitely visit again if near the granary Square/King's cross."

"Lovely pub that we visit often over the summer while down in the Gower.. today November 8th) I had a letter though the door from a debt recovery company demanding I pay a £160 fine for when we called into this pub on July 24th for 20 minutes. Even though we followed all parking instructions and registered our car while visiting. After calling the company I was told it’s to late to appeal my parking charge and must pay the full amount. Even though this is the first I have heard of it. I paid by card and have evidence of our visit. But a simple NO was the answer. After doing some digging online it seems to be a regular thing as this establishment. I am absolutely furious and cannot pay this current so called bill right now before Christmas. And have no choice but to let it go to court and possibly be left with future problems with mortgages, loans, credit cards etc.. as clearly stating in bold on this letter. All for just calling in for a quick pint on a sunny summers day. Absolutely disgusting. STAY WELL AWAY JUST INCASE"

"My son uses the bar regularly and always has a great time in a safe and well run environment. The previous evening however after enjoying a meal, he left his expensive headphones in the bar They went missing but I can’t fault the help we had from the friendly bar staff and especially the Manager Dean to find them and ensure they were returned to us. He went out of his way to support us and nothing was too much trouble. we will definitely be back!!"

"It was my first time visiting. I had waffles with white chocolate ice cream and it was absolutely beautiful, the lady was so welcoming, polite, kind with a lovely smile on her face at all times. "Terrible service, place is dirty, table was sticky. Asked staff to clean the table again cause the table was sticky. Got handed extra napkins to clean ourselves. Ordered sauces to go with our BBQ. Had to remind the server 3 times. It wasn't even busy. Ordered beef slices, got super fatty cuts to the point there was basically no meat. Seats were all run down and covers were all falling apart. Our grill was not changed once during the hour we were BBQing. For a table of 2 we paid close to 100 pounds and for that money a better food and experience can easily be had elsewhere. For a Japanese restaurant the lack of attention to detail was simply shocking. Would not recommend."

"the caravan King’s cross is located on the granary square, just a short walk from the King’s Cross Station. we were there for breakfast, but they also have a fantastic day menu. I wanted something different from the usual breakfast options for which I go, so I went for the cocose bread, lemon cream cheese and rhabarb. it was delicious and I think it can be my new standard breakfast option in caravan. it was not too sweet and the lemon curd gave him a nice tangie taste that was very addicted. it was also just the perfect amount so I didn't burst at the end. the other options that I have tried, what I would also recommend are: ..."

"I went on Friday night for the first time in almost two years with my usual co-administrators to the king's." I was quite overwhelmed to find the atmosphere intact, everyone relaxed, no mandat nonsense, just do what a pub is to get a table. Relax down and with a drink. to go to a bar and not speak through a plastic screen. the personal was so inviting even after so much time! I really felt humble, these people here really invest in their customers. munchables were the usual what they see is what they get and very satiating standard, delivered fast and hot. I am so glad to be back and hope to visit the king again as regularly as we have done before."

"I'm a bit obsessed with the hot wings there. beautiful place to visit during the week, put points in plus as I can work from laptop while I have a coffee. nice for an evening dinner on the earth with family, good children menu. livelier at the weekend, but they have a dj on and 2-4-1 on cocktails that is a plus. beer garden is beautiful when it is warm, but there are protected areas when it rains. not my thing, but the other half appreciates the big screens to watch the football. the employees work hard and are always helpful, never had a problem."

"We reserved a table for a festive meal and were pleased to find that our table was beautifully decorated with a tablecloth, crackers, and Santa hats upon arrival. The festive menu offered great value, and the food was excellent. We all enjoyed the turkey dinner, which featured a generous slice of meat along with all the traditional trimmings. Everything was delightful. The staff were attentive and friendly, making our experience even better. We will definitely return!"

"I recently had my first visit to The Watt in a while, and not much has changed inside. The lunch menu was excellent, and the food was very good. It was convenient not having to order via cash, as the food was delivered quickly and served hot. While the ambiance could use some improvement, at least there was no background music to distract. The restrooms were outstanding—well-maintained and clean with a pleasant smell. I will definitely return, especially for the fantastic lunch menu."

"Booked for last minute Mother’s Day lunch on their ‘wine and dine’ £40 deal for two and it was perfectly pleasant. The place was empty except for one business woman having a late lunch, which is a shame as the place was pleasant enough, the title of this review. The wine was standard Italian fare, lightly bodied rather than a Merlot or Primitivo. The squid rings were actual squid and the haggis bonbons were very meaty. The main meals of the burger (with haggis) was good, with a home made thick burger. The fish and chips were of a good standard, light batter but slightly tasteless fish (perhaps some extra seasoning or paprika would have lifted the dish). The fish was however not ‘wet’ as it can be elsewhere so cannot really complain. The dessert were HUGE, the star being the sticky toffee cake with soft caramel centre. The staff were pleasant enough, with a shift change half way through. The only big downside would be that, given it was late afternoon, the sun was streaming through. So we could not really understand the rationale behind having the heating turned up, with the radiators being right up against our window fronting table. We came out of there thinking we’d spent lunch in a sauna."

"really great atmosphere, eating, coffee and personal. the birthday of a friend and the personal manager went beyond and beyond to make it special. only the reason I dropped a star is the container I took away the rest, was tied in the Doggy bag and so the food went through and stained my clothes and shoes (despite that the container itself was completely closed.)"

"Afternoon Tea for 2 at 12:15pm We made a booking, paid a deposit and it was confirmed again the day before with an email. When we arrived the manager said he knew nothing about our booking, so nothing had been prepared. He apologised, and kept apologising. We were very disappointed as this was our first catch up in 8 years! The manager then went into the kitchen. When he came back he said could we wait for an hour while they prepare. He said there was a party of 50 people to cook for too. It was too late to go anywhere else. He placed us in a quieter area, offered us tea/coffee. We chose 1 tea and 1 black Americano. They came with 2 teas! Took one away and eventually arrived again with a coffee. The tea was not nice so it didn’t get drank. We ended up having to move to a different table as the smell from the accessible toilet absolutely stank when the door was opened. Eventually our food arrived. It was awful! The cheese sandwich bread was hard, the bacon sandwich was not that enjoyable, the chicken one was also not nice, the sweet potato one was horrible, soggy and looked awful. The scones were dry, clotted cream looked like it had seen better days. The small dessert ‘thing’ in a shot glass was disgusting, the cream ontop had already slid off onto the plate. The only nice thing was the very small chocolate brownie. We complained, the staff on the tills were actually very lovely and tried to help us over and over. Not their fault. They tried to reduce to bill, but not with much success. Only taking off £2 each! Then we reminded them that we’d paid a £10 deposit on booking, then they checked and said oh yes! (So there was a booking in our name after all! we were so fed up by then we just paid under protest and left. all in all it was an absolute farce. We both put all this info on their online feedback form, which promises to reply within 72 hrs. We have not heard anything back and it’s been 10 days now! We certainly would never recommend this place, especially Afternoon Tea. Appalling!"

"Walking passed this evening, there where 9 of us walking passed to get out Taxi . There was a homeless person sitting trying to keep warm in this dreadful weather. The door opened from this pub, and a man threw water all over the homeless man, he was soaking. How mean and dreadful, terrible. We shall be reporting this to the police in the morning. Hope CCTV caught this It has sickened me to the stomach. Dreadful act from a member of staff how cruel and sad . Hope you fall on hard times Karma. Why not help the poor man have a heart."
