"It was my first time visiting. I had waffles with white chocolate ice cream and it was absolutely beautiful, the lady was so welcoming, polite, kind with a lovely smile on her face at all times. The customer service was impeccable. I will definitely spread the word recommend this place to people. The pricing I think is decent as well, I will definitely be back again. "the caravan King’s cross is located on the granary square, just a short walk from the King’s Cross Station. we were there for breakfast, but they also have a fantastic day menu. I wanted something different from the usual breakfast options for which I go, so I went for the cocose bread, lemon cream cheese and rhabarb. it was delicious and I think it can be my new standard breakfast option in caravan. it was not too sweet and the lemon curd gave him a nice tangie taste that was very addicted. it was also just the perfect amount so I didn't burst at the end. the other options that I have tried, what I would also recommend are: ..."

"Terrible service, place is dirty, table was sticky. Asked staff to clean the table again cause the table was sticky. Got handed extra napkins to clean ourselves. Ordered sauces to go with our BBQ. Had to remind the server 3 times. It wasn't even busy. Ordered beef slices, got super fatty cuts to the point there was basically no meat. Seats were all run down and covers were all falling apart. Our grill was not changed once during the hour we were BBQing. For a table of 2 we paid close to 100 pounds and for that money a better food and experience can easily be had elsewhere. For a Japanese restaurant the lack of attention to detail was simply shocking. Would not recommend."

"I went on Friday night for the first time in almost two years with my usual co-administrators to the king's." I was quite overwhelmed to find the atmosphere intact, everyone relaxed, no mandat nonsense, just do what a pub is to get a table. Relax down and with a drink. to go to a bar and not speak through a plastic screen. the personal was so inviting even after so much time! I really felt humble, these people here really invest in their customers. munchables were the usual what they see is what they get and very satiating standard, delivered fast and hot. I am so glad to be back and hope to visit the king again as regularly as we have done before."

"I'm a bit obsessed with the hot wings there. beautiful place to visit during the week, put points in plus as I can work from laptop while I have a coffee. nice for an evening dinner on the earth with family, good children menu. livelier at the weekend, but they have a dj on and 2-4-1 on cocktails that is a plus. beer garden is beautiful when it is warm, but there are protected areas when it rains. not my thing, but the other half appreciates the big screens to watch the football. the employees work hard and are always helpful, never had a problem."

"Booked for last minute Mother’s Day lunch on their ‘wine and dine’ £40 deal for two and it was perfectly pleasant. The place was empty except for one business woman having a late lunch, which is a shame as the place was pleasant enough, the title of this review. The wine was standard Italian fare, lightly bodied rather than a Merlot or Primitivo. The squid rings were actual squid and the haggis bonbons were very meaty. The main meals of the burger (with haggis) was good, with a home made thick burger. The fish and chips were of a good standard, light batter but slightly tasteless fish (perhaps some extra seasoning or paprika would have lifted the dish). The fish was however not ‘wet’ as it can be elsewhere so cannot really complain. The dessert were HUGE, the star being the sticky toffee cake with soft caramel centre. The staff were pleasant enough, with a shift change half way through. The only big downside would be that, given it was late afternoon, the sun was streaming through. So we could not really understand the rationale behind having the heating turned up, with the radiators being right up against our window fronting table. We came out of there thinking we’d spent lunch in a sauna."

"On our last evening in Glasgow, we stumbled upon this pub, after a visit to the Necropolis. The place was full of locals, so we knew we made the right decision. The staff was so nice and friendly(especially Courtney! . We had a few drinks and watched some sports on TV. The pub had a great vibe! Would definitely recommend!"

"Afternoon Tea for 2 at 12:15pm We made a booking, paid a deposit and it was confirmed again the day before with an email. When we arrived the manager said he knew nothing about our booking, so nothing had been prepared. He apologised, and kept apologising. We were very disappointed as this was our first catch up in 8 years! The manager then went into the kitchen. When he came back he said could we wait for an hour while they prepare. He said there was a party of 50 people to cook for too. It was too late to go anywhere else. He placed us in a quieter area, offered us tea/coffee. We chose 1 tea and 1 black Americano. They came with 2 teas! Took one away and eventually arrived again with a coffee. The tea was not nice so it didn’t get drank. We ended up having to move to a different table as the smell from the accessible toilet absolutely stank when the door was opened. Eventually our food arrived. It was awful! The cheese sandwich bread was hard, the bacon sandwich was not that enjoyable, the chicken one was also not nice, the sweet potato one was horrible, soggy and looked awful. The scones were dry, clotted cream looked like it had seen better days. The small dessert ‘thing’ in a shot glass was disgusting, the cream ontop had already slid off onto the plate. The only nice thing was the very small chocolate brownie. We complained, the staff on the tills were actually very lovely and tried to help us over and over. Not their fault. They tried to reduce to bill, but not with much success. Only taking off £2 each! Then we reminded them that we’d paid a £10 deposit on booking, then they checked and said oh yes! (So there was a booking in our name after all! we were so fed up by then we just paid under protest and left. all in all it was an absolute farce. We both put all this info on their online feedback form, which promises to reply within 72 hrs. We have not heard anything back and it’s been 10 days now! We certainly would never recommend this place, especially Afternoon Tea. Appalling!"

"This was a spontaneous booking before a nearby concert at Kings Place..the service was friendly, fast, and the Melanzane Parmigiana delicious, though it needed extra focaccia to go with it. There’s obviously a local clientele as well as many visiting guests, and we would certainly return when back in the area."

"really great atmosphere, eating, coffee and personal. the birthday of a friend and the personal manager went beyond and beyond to make it special. only the reason I dropped a star is the container I took away the rest, was tied in the Doggy bag and so the food went through and stained my clothes and shoes (despite that the container itself was completely closed.)"

"Walking passed this evening, there where 9 of us walking passed to get out Taxi . There was a homeless person sitting trying to keep warm in this dreadful weather. The door opened from this pub, and a man threw water all over the homeless man, he was soaking. How mean and dreadful, terrible. We shall be reporting this to the police in the morning. Hope CCTV caught this It has sickened me to the stomach. Dreadful act from a member of staff how cruel and sad . Hope you fall on hard times Karma. Why not help the poor man have a heart."

"at the time in the pub sitting after the most delicious meal (lasagne followed by chocolate fudge cake compliments at the chef! also very cheap prices and generous portions. I have severe mental health and physical diseases and the personal was very nice and very accommodating. even me on the table near the disabled toilet. can't blame them, they should be proud of their excellent service and care. also the love that it is dog friendly, as I love dogs, to see all the different come, has made my day. will definitely be visited again and also bring my friends! next to the pub here. "Sandemans fine dining tasting menu paired with some delicious wines was the perfect evening for us. The food was delicious and the wine worked well. The only disappointing thing was that there were almost no interesting options for our guest who does not drink alcohol. The only offering was a 0% lager or the usual other soft drinks. We wanted to order a fabulous mocktail or interesting non alcoholic pairing option from the menu. This was not possible here but our delightful waiter did accept the feedback and thought it would be a great idea to have something interesting for the non alcohol drinker or indeed the appointed driver. The restaurants decoration was lovely and the atmosphere special. The toilets could definately be upgraded they don't reflect the style or standard of the restaurant. Toilet seat hanging off in one of the two cubicles too. However, it was a very special evening which we all enjoyed and look forward to returning and experiencing the upgrades which will ensure things only get better from an already great position."

"We went along to take advantage of their reopening special offer of a free meal with a newspaper voucher. Right from the off, the staff were helpful and explained the deal and procedure. Three of us ordered steaks, a rare, medium rare, and medium. All three were cooked to perfection. The steaks were large and melt in the mouth. It's probably the best steak I have had for a very long time. Our fourth member had the bog standard pub grub....Balmoral chicken, which she ate and enjoyed too. Again, they did not insult with the portion size. Service was pretty quick and efficient, too. Wine ranged from just under £14 for the house to under 20 quid for a bottle.. Both were decent. As a bonus, by downloading and registering on their app, we got a free drink, and we even got a couple of desserts and a really good strong coffee, courtesy of guy who had a couple of vouchers he passed on to us. They didn't disappoint either OK, this won't happen every time, but as a promotion, it worked because they have gained 4 new customers. If they can keep up that standard of food and service, it will be our go-to for a pub grub night out. Interesting all the staff seemed to be men and no student staff. The weekend might be different, but honestly, they were so professional. A pleasant surprise nowadays."

"Great. we had great service from a smiling brasserie and waitress eating was delicious and the children ate every bit, which is not always the case, they loved the ginger breadhounds and they disappeared very quickly. we had big latte that came in a beautiful large double ear cup and it was hot. we will definitely come back."
