I think her name was Evie, she was a joy everytime I was served by her and her sweet and cheerful demeanor made for a great time. "I visited this pub on Saturday night and found the bar staff to be very friendly and polite. However, there was one member of staff who was collecting glasses on the floor. She approached our table, leaned over me, clicked her fingers, and demanded my empty glass. I was taken aback by how rude this young lady was. I am a regular at this pub and have never had this type of experience before. It seemed like she was being shadowed by another lady, as they were together all night. If this staff member was supposed to be in training, it was very unprofessional for her to act this way in front of her supervisor and the group I was with."

"We went in last saturday for a meal and a couple of pints, it 's quite a regular thing. It was quite busy and we were lucky to get a table after waiting about 5 minutes. My partner went to order and was gone some time , 20 minutes or thereabouts. I figured she must be chatting to one of the staff as we always have a good laugh with them. Then my partner came to me slightly distressed , she was having trouble getting served even after 20 minutes stood at the bar. She was stood at the corner and the bar staff were seemingly only serving those at the front of the bar, even though my partner had been stood waiting to be served some 15 minutes before a lot of them. She shouted out to the barstaff ' are you serving '? The responded with 'you don 't get served any quicker by shouting ' and repeated this mantra style , trying to wind my partner up, which they did and regretably my partner told one of them to where to go. She realised this was wrong but she is registered disabled and in constant pain and can 't stand for long periods. She didnt want any favours for being disabled, she is too proud to ask for them. All she wanted was to be served when it came to her turn, which was clearly not happening. When I confronted the barman he said 'we don 't really serve here ' I said 'I know, I can see ' He then produced a ' Glass collection only ' placard, 20+ minutes too late. he said it was a non serving area even though there was a visa card machine there on the bar and we 've always been served there before without any problem . On our way out I just happened to look behind me to see 'Sydney ' a female member of the barstaff give the finger and saw her mouth ' off ' Now does anybody think a person like that should be working in the leisure industry ? All 3 of the barstaff were incompetent in my eyes and need a talking to or re-training. We went for a pleasurable night out, not aggro, we 're in our 60 's not yobs. We spent about £20, not a lot I know, we would have stayed longer and spent double that, still not a lot but every little counts. And as for bringing my grandkids here for a treat total spend £40+ I don 't think that 'll happen again. I see the pub wants to increase it 's taking by £2000 every week . . It ain 't gunna happen with abusive barstaff that you had on that night. Thank you. Brian. Ps I emailed and texted the manager to see if we could solve this issue amicably. NO REPLY which says a lot. Pps I hear Darleys do good meals."

"Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and given the option to choose our table, which we appreciated. The staff at the bar and serving the food were all friendly and pleasant. "I had booked a table for lunch after being attracted to the Festive Set Menu at this pub, which I had checked online beforehand. However, once we were seated, we discovered that the Set Menu was not available. After inquiring at the bar, I was informed that it was not being offered in December. I ended up ordering nachos instead, which tasted like they were from jars and were very disappointing. My friend enjoyed his turkey pie, but mentioned that the parsnip was tough. Additionally, customer parking was difficult, leading me to park at the nearby Peace Memorial Hall car park. Overall, it was an average experience and I do not plan on returning."

"As always, the meal I ordered from Ramsgate Tandoori this evening was absolutely excellent. It was hot, of good quality, delicious, and there was plenty of it. Unfortunately, my josh spilled in my purse, causing quite a mess when the lid came off. A large portion of my meal was lost in the chaos. Despite that, I'm still happy. "the bar area was very busy and loud and our table was right next to a slot machine. confusion about my drink order, three try to get it right! the setting of a senior server was disappointing-didn not smile and seemed as if we would annoy them! eating was also extremely disappointing, as it was not better than a heat and the possibility of supply. there are no prices on the website menu and when I saw £1500 for the smokey joe burger my expectations were high. but my food came as a burger with undercut speck (not crispy as advertised) with a few fries! no extra bbq dip and no sign of the melted cheese and slowly cooked bark in a smokey sauce! we also ordered the grilled chicken and chorizo skewers, but the huh had not seen, a grill it was just white pieces of pure boiled chicken and the garn and calamari duo was over boiled / roasted pieces of food that were just bought from every super market frozen gang! we couldn't expect to get out of there!"

"Visited today with family for a Father’s Day meal. The food was delicious not to mention the 241 cocktails. The venue was decorated for Father’s Day with balloons, candles and flowers on the tables and each dad received a box of chocolates and a dad badge which made it extra special. "I had a fabulous lunch at Murdos with the girls! The food was amazing—delicious mac and cheese, tasty waffle fries, and the Katsu chicken was fantastic. The fish and chips were good too. "The staff and service were really great BUT unfortunately the food was not. The coated prawn starter was sad to say the least, the prawn substance was no more than 5 mm long. THE FISH CHIPS WAS BAD. YOU NO LONGER HAVE COD. Instead it was flat, all skin batter ONE STAFF CALLED IT HADDOCK, ANOTHER CALLER IT POLLOCK WHICH I BELIEVE BUT IN ANY CASE IT WAS DISGUSTING. I do not send food back to the kitchen for obvious unspeakable things that kitchen staff have been known to do to it. "Decided to give this place another chance after a previous poor meal but others have recommended it. Booked a festive menu for Christmas Eve and paid a deposit. Upon arrival (early afternoon and the restaurant was empty) we were told they had run out of...festive menu, and we should have reserved one with a deposit. I explained that I had paid a deposit but was then told this had not reserved the festive menu? Decided to make the most of it as we were very unlikely to get in anywhere else at this late stage. However, the first dishes we tried to order they had run out of. Wanted to go out for a roast dinner, ended up having a (not very good) steak (without any sauce as they had run out of that too… When my steak arrived, it clearly hadn’t been rested, as my plate was swimming in blood. However the steak was also cold, so I have no idea how they managed to serve a cold steak which hadn’t been rested? The lady who served us was extremely apologetic, but I must admit that despite her best efforts, we will not be back."

"Food was nice but asked to get 2 desserts to take away, absolutely disgraceful! Dessert was wrapped in tin foil! Had to send the Eaton Mess back as there was NO meringue, just whipped cream from a can and a bit of raspberry sauce and when I got it in a container there was about a tablespoon of meringue on top! The bottom of the container is about the size of my palm!! Two mouthfuls and it was gone!! The cheesecake was smaller then the size of a pen and very dry/stale. The price I paid for it, £5.75 EACH!!! Was not even worth the price of one. Never again"

"Visited the sefton today after not being in for a couple of years. Was surprised to see only 1 member of staff working in the entire pub??? The lady whose name I noticed on the till was Kate . I must say even though it was busy for 1 person to be running the whole pub on their own she was very professional . We ordered food and was told of the wait time for it to arrive . We ordered drinks one being a pot of tea and even though Kate was busy we where surprised when she said I will bring to your table ASAP. Food arrived which we throughly enjoyed. I had a lasagne which was very tasty . We received a checkback from Kate even though she was working on her own under pressure . We felt our custom was welcomed by her . Our plates where cleared swiftly when we had all finished . We stayed for an extra hour due to the level of service Kate provided not only to us but all the customers in the sefton at the time. We saw her interacting with I presume regulars . It was only when we left my son said you do know that lady ie Kate worked at wetherspoons ? Got to say Wetherspoons loss is the seftons gain . I just wish the poor girl had another member of staff working with her and she wasn't running around serving,greeting everyone on her own."

"Have not been to the Chop House for years but really enjoyed my last visit. All members of staff we came across with were very friendly and efficient. The food was delicious as usual. We opted in for a set menu and I had a mackerel salad which reminded me of Niçoise salad, with an egg, plenty of mackerel and French beans, my friend enjoyed Haggis fritters. For the main I had a ham hock which came with thick cut chips, they were crispy from the outside and fluffy inside and runny yolk duck egg, absolute perfection. Dessert was a classic Sticky toffee, I have had it many times in the past and was pleasantly surprised that the recipe hasn't changed, it is absolutely delicious, generous portion swerved with vanilla ice cream and toffee sauce. We really enjoyed our meal and service from the moment we arrived and left. Thank you"

"Service was slow, however very polite, food seemed processed and turkey looked like sliced from the butcher so thin, meat was not a slice of steak was mushed excess pieces moulded together into a round mould and cold. also Cranachan was just mush like thick yoghurt with porridge oats through it? That was a major shock and in a soup bowl? Def need to check the recipe on this, one chipolata too. All food was just warm nothing special. Christmas menu yet no crackers? No one asked if we enjoyed our meal even when the dessert wasn’t eaten"
