"Lovely pub with good atmosphere and prompt friendly service. The food was disappointing though even though we ordered from the more expensive main menu. The fish pie was bland and contained mostly air and very little fish. The sausages were dry and tasted as though they had been cooked earlier and then microwaved. The barbecue sauce that was supposed to be on the Hunter's Chicken was a blended tin of tomatoes and the chicken salad was over-powered by raw onion. Great real ale though so would go again for a drink but not to eat."

Such a great outside space. 6pm on a wed. Fairly busy. Order food at bar. Good sized portions. Normal pub grub. Average pricing. Atmosphere fine, polite staff. Very clean loos.

The good was okay but it was noisy and very stuffy. Yes I know it’s been warm but tables were quite close to each other and for a Thursday it was very busy. Some of the staff were great but one or two appeared to have missed some staff training sessions. Liqueur coffee served in a large cappuccino cup? Really? View menu

Enjoyed a lovely lunch with a friend yesterday. A deer was looking over the garden from the far corner. We had a lovely table for two overlooking the garden. Parking: I used a disabled bay by the front of the building. Plenty other parking available. Wheelchair accessibility: I use crutches, all was easily accessible. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5

I was quite impressed with the spacious garden and stylish interior. It was nice to see a St. Austell ale on tap; unfortunately, it was out of stock, so I opted for a London Pride instead. It wasn't bad, but at £2.35 for a half pint, it felt a bit pricey. The music was enjoyable, and the menu looked impressive. I might come back to try the food and will update this review afterward. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, and every staff member we encountered was friendly. I even had the chance to chat with one of the staff members outside. We ordered a mix of dishes, including a mixed grill, pie, hunter chicken, and steak. Everything was well-cooked and visually appealing. We also indulged in desserts, which were the perfect way to end our meal. I can definitely see myself returning on a sunny weekend—now we just have to wait for the sunshine!

We had a wonderful family dinner last night. The restaurant had great facilities, especially for our toddler. It offered good value for money and a very extensive menu, serving as a perfect mix between a pub and a restaurant. Since it was a last-minute decision to eat out, we attempted to book through their website, but there didn’t seem to be an option for same-day reservations and we had no luck reaching them by phone. We were so glad we decided to visit anyway, as there was plenty of availability when we arrived.
