"In case you’re a little behind with the news, the famous St John Hotel off Leicester Square is out and in its places is a new French-Vietnamese restaurant (their words not mine), Leicester House. The site seems to have been doomed from the day it first came to life and changed through more hands than it should have in the past few years. Location can’t be blamed either, because after all – it’s slap bang in the middle of central London. There is a light at the end of this dark and gloomy tunnel however, with the arrival of the new Leicester House restaurant. This transformed Georgian townhouse is looking stunning right now décor wise, I can’t get enough of its sumptuous décor, plush leather chairs and shades of crisp Farrow Ball colours splashed across the walls. The food is just as good too – but its origins need a little homing in to help this place go further on the culinary scene."

"I went to the slug and lettuce in Staines on Friday night for the bottomless brunch. Jack and the twins gave us fantastic service. They kept our drinks topped up, checked on us regularly and were so fun and friendly. The food was very good and at such good value I’m looking forward to my next night out there. 5* guys thank you very much. "So disappointed. I usually only take the time on here to give good reviews and say good things about people and places so you know where you are going. But tonight was very different. Table service non existen. No cutlery brought to your table when you order arrives. Got my plate put on my table like feeding a dog. (The chicken was cold coz they missed my order but still served it with no apologies). No napkins, no sauce, no water, no salt, no pepper... What are we actually paying for? £13 for 1/2 chicken, 4 branches of brocoli and some chips with a bit of spicy powder on top to get its spiciness?. Nando is not what it used to be. Won't go back again and won't advertise around."

"After a fantastic afternoon and evening spent with friends at the Hanover Tap Edinburgh our group of 14 were eventually left with just 4 of us. We tried to buy another drink to say goodbye to each other but the young lady behind the bar refused to serve us. I asked her why and she said that we were all drunk. I asked if one of us had misbehaved or acted out of order she said no but that as we had been there several hours we must be drunk and she would not serve us. We are all in our late 50’s our conduct at the pub was exemplary but she still wouldn’t serve us. As a group we had spent in excess of £1000 on food and drinks but she was having none of it. Shame to end a fantastic day that way. The young manager should rethink how she treats good customers. We as a group will not be returning to the Hanover Tap Edinburgh"

"A very enjoyable evening here is a pub/bar designed on two floors with a lot of outdoor seating for groups. There is a breathtaking view over Portsmouth Harbour. "I gave the food a rating of 5 because we did not eat, so it would have been unfair to judge it. The exterior of the restaurant was disappointing, with glasses scattered everywhere and every table filled with empty dishes. The interior was also lacking in cleanliness, with sticky tables that I had to clean myself. Despite the empty bar inside, the service was slow. My cocktail was poorly made, with layers of syrups and alcohol as it was not shaken properly. I had to stir it for a long time to mix it all together with the ice. Additionally, there were young girls drunk and crying in the restroom. Overall, I would not return to this restaurant."

I am an international person living in the UK for 2 years now and I have used my BRP (BIOMETRIC RESIDENT PERMIT) the offical identity proof that UK gov gives to people for everything. The Derby S&L bouncer denied me entry because he said they don’t accept my ID proof? He looked like he was not sober and was so rude to me and my friend. Will never go to this place again it’s almost racist behaviour. Disappointed because clearly the team is not trained with their job and dont even know the most common identity proof that international students/residents have."

"itsu is a fast casual restaurant with a slightly higher feeling, but with reasonable trips. the menu is Asian inspired and seems to be more engraved in Japanese. the vegan offers of itsu have expanded considerably in the course of the years to include some delicious offers that are all marked on the menu and on the food packaging. the detox miso noodle soup is still one of my favorite (and it is low calorie) but sometimes it can be too much psychtang (depending on who does it). my new favorite menus include the veggie dragon roll (complete with vegan mayo the veggie meatballs coconut soup and the veggie gyoza n bowloodle. there are many additional vegan and vegetarian options offered not in my review that are also worth trying. as already mentioned, everything is marked on the menu and on the packaging. most employees seem pretty conscious and worth knowing for vegan options (a more common and accepted diet in Britain) for the case that they have asked to have ingredients menu elements. (I personally would rate this a 3.5 because it is a chain, but it pushes up to 4 because the half-value ratings are not allowed and this is actually a nice, higher quality and healthy food option"

"Went for the bottomless brunch (4 girls). It was brilliant. £33 each and the drinks just keep flowing. Food was really good and very filling. Staff were so friendly and service was quick!
