"The food was terrible - cold, burnt, and completely wrong. The person who answered the phone was rude and seemed to have a strange demeanor. They compulsively lied about everything. If you think this place is good, you must have incredibly low standards. "Recently ordered a FULL lamb chasni which should come with both rice and naan, however only received rice. My bottle of coke was also out of date. Called up to rectify the issue and initially it sounded like they will send a naan to me, then got a call back 2 minutes later to say it doesn't come with a naan, a full is either rice or naan, I pointed out that is not what it says on the menu.. they blamed the host of the menu (Being Just Eat). I took him at his word, seemed weird, but arranged to have a free drink next order. Later I talked to a couple of people who use the take away regularly, they told me yes it should come with both, I checked a competitor to JE they use Scoffable says the exact same thing comes with both, and a physical menu I had also says the same thing. So they guy actually lied to me to save himself sending out a naan, even though he was going to send a driver back for a refund for the drink initially. Really Really sad, the food quality was actually good... it was soured by a lie to save a couple of pounds. Now word of mouth will spread with some people and they lost customers already from the 2 that spoke to me. Absolutely silly thing to do."

"Amazing food as always, fantastic customer and delivery service. Very kind and polite, takes messages of food into account and prepares as requested. I have disabilities so I truly appreciate, staff's patience when delivering food. I feel guilty for constantly ordering from Balti Raj, I just can't stop. The food quality is amazing and honestly affordable. I have bought food from other restaurants, where the portion is just about enough for one person and everything is so expensive, that we have ended up going without food, at times. However, I have been grateful that we are getting something to eat and because of my grateful attitude. I have been blessed to remember about Balti Raj and we have been eating well since ordering from Balti Raj, Alhamdulillah. "I was pleasantly surprised with the entire experience. The food was plentiful (they offered refills of the sandwiches), fresh and delicious. I had the classic afternoon tea which is what you would expect with finger sandwiches, mini quiche, salmon bun, 2 scones (fruit and plain) as well as 5 mini desserts. My husband tried the gentleman's tea and this was outstanding. There was a plate of fish and chips with mushy peas and tartar sauce. There was another plate with 3 other good sized portioned sandwiches. He had an olive scone with blue cheese butter, delish! Then a mini quiche and lemon macaron. We both had a black tea which was very good as well. The view of the Thames was nice. The only downside to the experience was I asked for a different table and she said it was already reserved. However, for the entire time we were there no one sat at that table. So that was a bit disappointing. Otherwise, I highly recommend."

"Hi we ordered a takeaway legally as per covid ! We live only an 8 minute drive away, we were told 20 minutes for collection and we arrived in good time to no que and left for home at around 20 minutes later ! We ordered chicken pakora which was cold ! A portion of chicken tikka masala and it was grainy almost as though the yogurt wasn’t fresh as the sauce looked sandy and was slightly gritty in texture, we also ordered a chicken Korma and the sauce was the same but also spicy (which Korma isn’t supposed to be). With both mains we ordered fried pilau rice which was also cold but even worse when you opened the containers the rice came out in rectangular lumps and it didn’t want to separate and clumped together. The rice was definitely reheated from probably the day before as we ordered our meal at 5.30pm ish. I ordered from this shop on the TripAdvisor ratings and having ordered a starter and 2 main courses if 1 thing was going to be disappointing then fair enough but for the whole meal to be **** then I suggest the owners have had a big hand in the ratings for their establishment. I also at the point of ordering our meal made a point of telling the guy on the phone that this was the 1st time I had ordered from them as their ratings looked great. I will definitely not be spending my hard earned cash in this establishment again disappointed is an understatement !"

"Attended a pre wedding party yesterday evening on August hosted by the Nandas (please check with the host and don’t deny the fact that this party ever happened or I did not attend like you do in response to your other reviews). To start with, horribly slow starter service. For a table service one would expect either the food to be replenished quickly or at least bought out when asked. Here you get a response, “wait, it’s being cooked.” No please, no sorry, in short, no manners. Here’s the real problem though. A restaurant of this size says, we have run out of Chicken Nuggets for kids. Who doesn’t have spare nuggets in the kitchen? And if not, should you not offer more chips instead? Keeping kids hungry is just not done. The mains were just okay quality/quantity wise but nowhere near their restaurant food. We have been to the restaurant many times and hence our expectations were a bit high, probably different chefs for restaurant and parties or whatever. But no complaints in general on mains and desserts. The final nail in the coffin. After dancing, I go to the bar asking for WATER. The very NICE lady says, “we don’t have any water jugs back here.” I ask for TAP WATER instead. She goes, “We don’t have any glasses.” I can clearly see at least crates of nice clean glasses behind the bar. Tired and really thirsty, I go to the other side near the kitchen end asking a waiter for water. Her response is even more alarming. NO WATER IN THE KITCHEN. Even my year old would not buy this answer. I really demand an explanation on the reason for not providing the most basic necessity to your guests. It was at night and did not want to raise it back then at the venue but without any explanation to this, I doubt anyone reading this review will ever want to host a party with Venue unless THE HOSTS ARE READY TO TAKE ABOUT BOTTLES OF LITRE WATER WITH THEM. In a nutshell, Venue did all they could to ruin the evening for the lovely couple.For anyone thinking to host an event here in the future, I am more than happy to come forward and share my experience in more details. YES, there was more than this but not trivial."

"Very surprised to read some of the reviews from visitors at TigerBay Shisha and Carlton Lounge as we have always had excellent service and the food is some of the best Indian dishes we have had.We were seated inside the TigerBay Shisha Lounge however as this has open sides all round and even an open roof in warmer days or nights, we felt completely safe and COVID protected. The evening was very busy but had a great atmosphere and we didn’t feel cramped or as if we were too near to other customers. The music especially with the appearance of DJ Shraii gives something a little bit extra special than other venues.All members of staff wore face masks and we noticed they politely reminded any customers to use their masks when not seated at their tables.The food is always hot and you can hear the sizzle plates sizzling as the food is served. Portions are really generous and we usually find it hard choosing from all the delicious dishes on offer.The mocktails are especially good and the fruity versions topped with fresh and sweet fruit. We have not tried the Shisha varieties however talking to people we met last week, they said the choices are good and flavours excellent quality. So even without Shisha being available at the moment under Covid rules, TigerBay Shisha Lounge is a great venue.We are looking forward to spending many more summer evenings especially in the garden area which is beautifully filled with gorgeous plants and makes you feel you are on holiday and not just on an evening out.Keep doing what you do so well TigerBay Shisha and Carlton Lounge."

"The food at this restaurant is made fresh to order. The Dal could use a bit more salt, but it was still good when paired with rice. The standout aspect of this place is the excellent service. The host even went above and beyond to create a new mocktail for a colleague who did not like the Virgin Colada. The food may take a bit longer to be served since it is made to order, but it is definitely worth the wait. I highly recommend this restaurant for its exceptional service and fresh, made-to-order food."

"this was once a goal resturant, as it has stood in mumbai and london also had one in new delhi. it is not maintained with the time. decor was bad with dirty carpets and eating on the floor. only two waiters for the entire dinner service. the food was full salt and the naan was not prepared in a traditional tandoor over. my family visited the sites in neu delhi and mumbai and expected a similar environment in london. sad I will not return."

"Used this place has a late night curry has my friend said it’s okay I had lamb madras and mild chicken curry with boiled rice and naan bread by the time I got home which was a 5 mile Trek across the other side of town the food was still piping or plus the owner gave us free Pompa Dom‘s and onion chutney which was a nice. Food tasted very nice. Location is easy to find has soon has you enter hersall lane its the 1st left just after the bathroom company and 200 yds on your right by the 1 junction food is good the takeaway building could do with a revamp otherwise I recommend this late night balti shop."

"Orders through just eat and the deliver time was an hour and ten minutes. After this time the app updated to say the food had been delivered but nothing had arrived. I rang direct and was told that the order had been lost in the kitchen and hadn't even been processed. Promised it would be delivered within half an hour. I rang again 45 minutes later and was told it was on the way. Order didn't arrive until a further 25 minutes later. Driver was apologetic and said a driver had broken down. Might have been believable if it hadn't been for the initial mistake with the order and the 2 hour delay. He offered half price next time but I assured him there wouldn't be a next time after such poor service. Sat down to cold food at 9pm after placing the order at 6.19pm. Just awful. Avoid at all costs."

"I'm about to order for the second time from here and remembered I said I'd write a review for them if I thought they deserved the praise. They do! Me and my girl both loved the food. Mostly I'd rather cook myself than get a takeaway because I'm generally disappointed with places around Glasgow and feel I've just wasted a bunch of money on low quality garbage.
