Creamy Middle Eastern ice cream with elastic texture, flavored with mastic and rosewater. Refreshing and unique dessert.

"I’m very disappointed to have to write this review. My friend and I drove over 40 minutes to get to this pub for lunch. We walked in at 2:05, the website says they stop serving lunch at 2:30. We kindly asked the waitress (who had her back turned to us. if they were still serving lunch, to which she said yes. The moment the waitress turned around and looked at my friend and I she immediately said, “Actually, we are not. The kitchen is closed.” We were put off by this, but ordered a drink to be polite. The moment we sat down at our table another customer walked in and is served lunch immediately. My friend is a UK resident and I am visiting from abroad. We enjoy going to new pubs so we can recommend them to friends and family."

"Beautiful ambience, the soft music and decor is cool. The waiters were polite. Naan bread was very nice, the mushroom rice can be better. Rogan Josh was really good. Prawn curry was just there, I wasn't impressed with it. Papadums were really nice, with the mint sauce mango chutney. The sparkling lemonade was really good too, would be better with a little vodka The wait time after ordering was about 30-40mins+ that's too long for me. Lovely place really, next time I'll just do takeout because the cost of eating in is like x2 of takeout. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Chicken or Lamb Tikka Bhuna Balti"

"Everyone should experience the Craven Arms at least once in their life. Superbly situated in an elevated position over Wharfedale, you can enjoy yourself with some of the finest riverside walking before retiring for a well-deserved and well kept beer in this fabulous, characterful pub. There's a wide range of beers served by uber friendly bar staff. The experience starts here. You really shouldn't miss the opportunity to sample the food which is a cut above most pub food out there. Where else could you enjoy pan-fried wood pigeon? Even the veggie options are highly imaginative. Make sure that you're in the cruck barn which is straight out of an Asterix adventure. The large and slow burning open fire is a treat, especially if it's cold or wet. It's dog friendly too. Minor downsides? We had to wait about 15 minutes beyond the booked time to get our table and there was some faffing about with lighting whilst potential wedding venue punters were shown the possibilities. Staff readily apologised for the inconvenience, so these irritations were nowhere near being deal breakers."

"First night of a long weekend in Rode looking after a couple of chocolate Labradors, we were able to sit and eat without the dogs being a problem. Me and my life like real ale and they had a couple of choices from Butcombe brewery, the ale was kept and served well. The menu was great and they helped my wife who is dairy free and marked down all of the items on the menu that were, or could be made, dairy free, great service! When our food came it was lovely, well presented and tasted awesome. They are actually booked out most days so we were lucky to get in, we tried to book for Sunday lunch which they managed to squeeze us in, so we are looking forward to going back for this. Highly recommended but try to book your table in advance by a few days at least so that you’re not disappointed."

"It 's a nice place with a good atmosphere, I like the decor and the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. It 's great they have separate Gluten-free and Vegan menus as well as dishes that cross over both. Purely on service this would be a 5 star review, unfortunately the food, especially the main corses really let in down and with the price, it was hard to shift the disappointment. I spent just under £100 on two adults and one child (including the service charge automatically added on We had tapas and two mains which just about filled us as the portions are on the smaller side. The tapas was definitely better than the mains but in my opinion, unfortunately still unimaginative, underwhelming and overpriced. The edamame and tofu was quite nice along with the falafel, the fish cakes were tasty but the rest was pretty forgettable. The gin was delicious though, washed it all down a treat, go for the gin. The mains were just confusing. The seabass was nice but the chips that came with it seemed undercooked and bland. The pan fried chicken on coleslaw was strange, it didn 't go down well, we all tried some but just ended up picking the chicken off and leaving the rest. Chicken on coleslaw with peanuts for £17.50 that 's one to go back to the drawing board in my opinion. (I make no apologies for awful puns or honest reviews. I went in to check it out as i was going to book a table for my birthday because of the different menu 's and options but i think it 's best to stick to drinks there and tapas if I 'm particularly peckish but i wouldn 't go out of my way to go to eat there again."

"We have twice visited Beddelert in the last year, and both times we've to Glaslyn. We had takeaway pizza for supper and icecream after a long walk in the hills! The food is great, fantastic icecream with loads of flavours and the pizzas are really...tasty, lots of options for toppings and the best garlic bread! The second time we visited, we went to Glaslyn on a Saturday night to order a takeaway, and they were incredibly busy. The staff were kind enough to squeeze our order in, staying open until it was ready we were so grateful! Everyone who has served us has been really friendly, both on the icecream counter and for the pizzas. Fantastic customer service we would recommend Glaslyn to everyone definitely visit if you are in the area!"

"Fantastic local pub, amazing food. Regularly visit for food drink here. Great staff, very friendly professional. Great place to stop on a bike ride, lovely garden! Price per person: £20–30 Recommended dishes: Chicken Sandwich, Sir Lankan Curry Chicken Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free parking lot"
"What a delightful little pub. it seems very popular with locals, and passersby alike, a pub grub menu with all the favourites. The drinks and food are fairly priced with decent portions. The pub has a small but nice layout, with not one, but two log fires, great for a winter's night, it also has a nice little garden, which in the summer would be great to take advantage of. But for me above all this, the very friendly warm welcome you receive, is what I'm sure makes this such a popular place. If you want good food, a warm fire and friendly people, you won't go far wrong choosing this great pub."

"Four of us for lunch on Sunday. Booked online. Management unilaterally cancelled it by email. Called to ask why. Something to do with the football. They thought we might be trying to watch it with declaring that we were doing so. Told him we weren’t. Completely unapologetic about cancelling without a phone call. Managed to negotiate our booking back. Bizarre. Food very poor indeed. Would strongly not recommend lots of good pub food in the area. Drinks good and reasonable. Staff generally friendly apart from this manager. Said he would hit us over the head with his book if were still there at 5.30 on account of the football. We told him, yet again, that we would not be and indeed we were not. Poor experience."

"The food at this restaurant was delicious, with perfectly cooked pasta and a fantastic homemade sauce. The atmosphere was pleasant, although it was quieter due to it being a cold Tuesday night. The music was a bit random, but overall it was a nice dining experience. My only complaint was the high price of a small glass of soda and lime at £3.00. The service was excellent, with a rating of 5 out of 5. The overall cost per person for dinner was between £20-30. Food was rated a 4 out of 5, with the atmosphere receiving a 3 out of 5."

"The restaurant has a friendly staff, delicious food, and reasonable prices. They offer dine-in service for dinner with an average cost of £20-30 per person. The food and service both received a rating of 5, while the atmosphere was rated a 4. Vegetarians may find some options on the menu, as they offer a vegetarian menu or section. Overall, it is somewhat recommended for vegetarians."

"Awesome gem that I’ve found just by searching for kid-friendly places reasonably close to all relatives and friends invited to my son’s third birthday. It’s the sort of place that would deserve to exceed the usual review scale, six stars would at least be required to represent the distance between The Boot and many other places that I reviewed with 5 stars. Ever since we set foot into this great pub, we’ve been welcomed with smiles and a level of kindness that other places reserve only for returning guests. The food was delicious and reasonably priced and there’s a wide range of good cocktails, beers and wines available. The kids play area is wonderful and my son played all afternoon. There are also many tables close to the play area so adults can have food there while keeping an eye on their children. The weather wasn’t great so we had food indoors, and even if our table was near the kitchen, no smell or noise disturbed us. All the staff sang Happy Birthday to my son while taking the cake that we had been allowed to bring over, and overall it’s been a perfect day. I will definitely look for opportunities to come back here."

"We visited here tonight as a family of 8 to celebrate our granddaughter's 13th birthday. We had booked thankfully as it was full to the brim with customers. The waiters were funny, attentive, efficient, polite and professional. The food was reasonably priced, everything was fresh and delicious. We received Baileys shots and chocolates after the meal. Our granddaughter received a box of Matchmaker chocolates and a bottle of Schloer which we thought was a lovely touch. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Great place for a celebration. Take your own alcohol, they provide the glasses. The only criticism I have is that the music was a bit too loud at times making it difficult to have a conversation."
"We had a pleasant table and the service was quick and efficient. However, the standout of our experience was the food. My partner really enjoyed her slow-cooked shoulder of lamb shepherd's pie, and my sirloin steak may have been the best I've ever had. The mushrooms were also excellent. It seems like The Bells has a new manager and chef, and it definitely made a positive impact. The only downside was the limited selection of starters, but we opted to skip that and have dessert instead, which was delicious."

"I dined here for dinner and found the overall experience to be quite mixed. The food was definitely the highlight, scoring a solid 4 out of 5; it was flavorful and satisfying. However, the service left much to be desired, earning just a 1. The staff seemed inattentive and unorganized, which really impacted the experience. As for the atmosphere, I would rate it a 3—adequate but nothing special. With prices averaging between £20 and £30 per person, the dining experience didn't quite match the expectations set by the quality of the food."

"We visited this restaurant last night, the first time in a few years. The service was good and friendly. The pate was okay, and the dough balls were also just okay. The calzone and mushroom risotto were average, while the gnocchi was okay. Overall, the food was nothing special. The prices were quite high, with beers costing £7.50 each and Sprites priced at £4.75. We ended up spending £162 for four people, including a bottle of mid-priced wine. We were not impressed enough to come back in a hurry."
