Creamy Middle Eastern ice cream with elastic texture, flavored with mastic and rosewater. Refreshing and unique dessert.

"Four of us for lunch on Sunday. Booked online. Management unilaterally cancelled it by email. Called to ask why. Something to do with the football. They thought we might be trying to watch it with declaring that we were doing so. Told him we weren’t. Completely unapologetic about cancelling without a phone call. Managed to negotiate our booking back. Bizarre. Food very poor indeed. Would strongly not recommend lots of good pub food in the area. Drinks good and reasonable. Staff generally friendly apart from this manager. Said he would hit us over the head with his book if were still there at 5.30 on account of the football. We told him, yet again, that we would not be and indeed we were not. Poor experience."

"Hi. It was my daughters birthday so I took her for a meal at the sun. Gosh was I in for a shock. I'm 29. I have tattoos. On my arms so some people think I'm rough maybe. Lol. I'm not I'm a solicitor. And a certain person called TRISTRAN THE SO CALLED MANAGER. Took out. The most disgusting behaviour I've ever seen. He said how old are you. I said I'm 29. He says have you got id I said are you joking. He said no I'm the manager Tristan. You aren't getting served. He then said look at my cameras. I have seen you on my CCTV. Now leave. I can't believe this guy. Even his staff said sorry he's like it all the time. Well I'm a solicitor and I will get this awful person removed from this once loved pub. No wonder place is empty and in great need of. Repairs. Keep away from here is my advice. He then came around the bar. And said get out. And don't return you're barred. Upon this we left. Thanks for reading"

"They have a free campsite here which is brilliant. Good flat pitches and a toilet with shower that you can use. We had a meal in the pub which for the most part was ok but one of the meals was not very good, nuked new potatoes which were quite inedible and Hunters Chicken which was just a butterflied chicken breast smothered in bottled barbecue sauce with a strange cheese topping! To be fair the staff were very helpful and understanding and took the price of this meal off the bill. It was probably just a one-off as they seemed to be having staffing issues. It is a quaint pub with a good atmosphere."

"We had booked this restaurant the previous day ahead of our overnight stay in the hotel next door and upon arriving we were clearly the first customers of the day. There wasn 't much of a welcome however we were just pointed to our table and handed menus and asked for drinks. Sure. that 's what you want but a Good evening, welcome, how are you this evening? wouldn 't have gone amiss though I must say I 've been to a few Indian restaurants where the 'welcome ' is much the same. Anyway, onto the food. Despite a rather lacklustre chicken kebab starter (it was fine, just chicken without any particularly flavoursome masala the main course of Sarisha Murgh was tasty and good although the supposed mustard flavour didn 't come through at all. The naan breads were good though thinner and more authentic than the usual massive ones you get. We also had dal tadka on the side which was ok very much a homestyle recipe and not the tastiest I 've ever had. All in all it filled us well however. The service was fine, if not exactly friendly and the interior is fairly spartan but for a village the size of Aberlady it 's good to have a choice of eateries and an Indian one at that. They just need to work on their welcome and perhaps also not charge £1.10 for poppadoms (plenty of restaurants will give them for free while you wait! . It 's Bring Your Own Bottle too."
"This is a charming country pub. I stopped by for brunch and was warmly welcomed by Louisa, who brought me a drink as soon as I made my choice. I ordered the fried beef noodles, which were fantastic, along with the loaded fries—I was definitely in the mood for a hearty meal that day. The portion of loaded fries was substantial enough for two and they were delicious. The pub has a cozy atmosphere, and the staff are always friendly, helpful, and very attentive when needed. I can't wait for my next visit! Service: Dine-in."

"We went to this restaurant tonight after a day of exploring the area. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted warmly and the service throughout our meal was outstanding - attentive, polite, and genuine. The menu offered typical pub food at affordable prices. We had starters and main courses, and I felt like I was going to burst from eating so much delicious food! The dishes were excellent, especially the chicken and leek pie which had a deliciously hearty filling with plenty of meat. Overall, we had a great experience with fantastic service, tasty food, a lovely atmosphere, and affordable prices. It was everything we could have asked for."

"Delicious food made from scratch! It was my first visit in a while and I enjoyed the beef in red wine pie, which was packed with tender meat and accompanied by authentic homemade gravy. The atmosphere was wonderful—relaxed and cozy with the fires crackling. I highly recommend this place! It's wise to make a reservation, as we were fortunate to get a table as walk-ins. Price per person: £10–20. Food rating: 5 stars!"

"I enjoyed a delicious curry dinner at Curry Cottage At Lovers Leap last night! The food and service were excellent. They have a good selection of vegetarian options. There are a few parking spots outside the restaurant, and a carpark 50 yards down the road on the left. The atmosphere was great, and I highly recommend dishes like Butter Chicken, Pickle Tray, Curry Chicken, and Onion Bhaji. Vegetarians will find a large selection of dishes to choose from. There is plenty of parking available, including free street parking options. Overall, I give this restaurant a 5-star rating for food, service, and atmosphere."

"After visiting Semolina a couple of years ago for dinner and having a great experience, we were looking forward to returning on another trip to Brighton. However, the ridiculously lengthy service and mostly average food really let the place down and for the price point, there’s much better food and service in Brighton. We had an 8:30am sitting and waited around 50 minutes for a starter, with no explanation from staff other than a couple of reassurances that “it’s on the pass”. The wait staff were lovely and sweet, and it was clearly not their fault that the chefs were struggling to get food on tables (rarely did any food appear from the kitchen). When the starter did arrive, the sauce and pasta was fairly cold. But after waiting 50 minutes, we ravenously ate our starters and didn’t dare complain after such a wait. Next, the mains arrived around 10pm. The cod was beautifully cooked and was a step towards redemption, however the clams were puny and chorizo diced so small my mother didn’t even notice it in the dish. Cheeseboard to finish decent, but could have done with a choice of chutneys and crackers to justify the £3 supplement. I understand eating is an experience and freshly cooked food takes time, but in this instance the taste did not justify the wait."

"I was super excited to come to this restaurant as someone friends recommended it to us before and today we went to a friends birthday. I was extremely disappointed because my expectations were really high specially when the restaurant has 4.9 stars. The staff definitely needs some training as the service we received was shocking. First we were waiting for glasses to drink our sangria for a good ten minutes, then we ordered started and main and we were missing one of the starters we then said that it was fine because the lady that brought the starters to us insinuated it was our fault and stated she only had one in the ticket even thought the other guy who took the order double checked it. Then it was time for the mains everything came out apart for our food which he said was coming in a few minutes, we received our food after 45 minutes not only that but no one came to apologise to us and they didn’t even realised we were missing food. Which makes me think they were only focusing on cleaning and closing instead of taken care of the only customers in the restaurant. When my other friends were eating some people came and at that point we were told not to laugh for no reason. They got their food first so we were definitely forgotten and highlighted it to the guy. He was joking around and we didn’t even get a proper apology. The lady there was really rude and was very clear to all of us that she didn’t want to be there and that was really off putting. I don’t recommend this restaurant at all unless you want to be treated horribly."

"Overpriced and not as expected. Restaurant decor and ambiance was lovely. It's a well themed place and celebrates the rich history of Kushi's. Unfortunatly the eating experience did not meet the standard set by the decor. I ordered a chicken pathia, which to my dissapointment, was watery and bland. The portion of the curry was a dissapointment too and did not match the cost of the dish. The portion of pilau rice was quite small for the price too, but was nice. We ordered a garlic naan bread for the table. Again (a similar theme here), the portion was not as expected and there wasn't much flavour to the dish. The other curries our table had were ok, but we all agreed, they were not worth the price. Service was good, but we were not atteneded to enough to justify the inclusion of a service charge on the bill. I left feeling deflated after paying the bill. I didn't feel the cost reflected the eating experience at all. I wouldn't recommend eating here as there are other Fife based Indian restuarants I would go to first for better value, taste and service. Parking: Options to park in town car parks near the restuarant. Often free after a certain time of the day."

"We came to see Coda, but ended up with Letz Zep our first visit to this little pub. The food was ok and the event itself was reasonable even though it was raining and the tents leaked plus the lead singer should have given up a long time ago ! Whlie I initially liked the village pub feel almost like my own village so the wobbly tables and broken bits I just viewed as quirky it quickly became clear there were some weird policies. The website said we must call and book our car parking in advance so we did, only to be told we didn 't need to at all so why put it on the website? . The loo downstairs, which I was directed to in the intermission, was really gross brown water in the loo and baby changing right next to it. Definitely needs a good clean, as did the ladies inside I was glad to be at an event outside tbh. The food also had to be ordered in advance and the website said must be paid for in cash although on the night they said that too was not the case and we could pay by card again, why put it on the website? . Then I tried to buy a glass of wine to go with my £8 potatoe no salad, no garnish at all and was told I must buy a whole bottle for £23. I 've only come across that policy at the big exploitative 80s festivals and was quite shocked. When I queried I was told I 'd have fun if I drank a whole bottle and if not I could complain to the landlady. I declined to do that at the time, choosing instead to feedback via email, privately. I duly sent an emailI and then responsded to theirs saying please let us know should the policy change. The next day I received yet another email, tis time from the landlady, telling me basically that I should have come to see her at the time and why I was incorrect in my feedback. I replied, because all the reasons she gave for not selling wine by the glass made no actual logial sense, esp because they weren 't applied to any other measures of alcohol ... I then received a very long email from the landlord accusing me of sending long tiresome emails and telling me how in the wrong I am and that they obviously cannot placate me. Sadly it 's evidently that this is our pub and if you like it you 're welcome, but if you give us any feedback we don 't agree with, then you are an unreasonable customer! . A great shame that feedback is received so unprofessionally and the overreaction was so rude, especially considering selling wine by the glass and bottle is entirely normal, and boxes of wine actually work our cheaper . A pretty dismal night has become a very negative experience for me, and I 'm reminded yet again not to bother trying to feedback privately it 's not appreicated should have just written this review to begin with."

"Went there for lunch to celebrate a family birthday, 9 of us and a baby. As it was a Sunday, there were several different roast dinners. 3 picked the beef roast, 1 the chicken, and 1 the pork. 3 others picked from the standard menu. When the order was placed it took for ever to be served, almost to point of us leaving as we had another event to go to after lunch. The beef was dry, the chicken was dry, and the pork which should have has a crackling crisp top was soggy and the normal knife couldn't cut through it. The roast potatoes were all soft, soggy, not crisp and looked like frozen roasts. Those that had standard menu, the beef burgers were just about o.k., the big steak was overdone, but worse of all was the fish and chips!! The whole plate of the fish and chips were all dark brown, the chips almost burnt and inedible, the fish was dark brown batter and two tiny pieces of fish which you had to dig out of the voluminous batter pyramid. That person left 80% of the meal. Then it took them almost 30 minutes to collect our finished dishes, by then we were late for the next venue that we couldn't wait for any dessert and coffees etc. The worse meal we have had and pathetic service delivered in an unfriendly fashion. Not even the relishes on the table, i.e. mustard for steak and beef, horseradish, or even ketchup for the younger children."

"The table that was reserved for us was far too small for 4 adults so we moved to the booth. There was no mango chutney with the curry but no one bothered to say you had run out. The meat in the steak and ale pie was very tough. The vegan pizza, nachos, and crispy bites were delicious, would be even better if the veggie burger was also vegan Vegetarian options: Good few choices of vegan food Price per person: £10–20"
