"I saw an advert for this pub in one of those free magazines that come through the door. I took an old lady to celebrate her 95th birthday. There was a good choice of main meals but I would like to see more vegetarian. We settled for salmon (without the ham wrap) but was disappointed it didn't come with any vegetables. It was delicious and hot. The desert was nice, apple crumble but only 1 small scoop of ice cream. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. It was a bit pricey for a lunch for 2 people but it was her birthday so I paid. Might go again, might get a smaller portion for the old lady."

Disappointed tbh...Sunday lunch and we both had roast beef which was chewy and tough. Roast potatoes were a tad hard so wont be going back...

between us we had the fish plate, truthahn frying dinner, salmon special and plower all tasty luv the fact that I live five minutes away from such a big pub.

We went to the Black Bull on Saturday for a family catch up, the service was really good and the food was excellent. The wine was reasonably priced and we weren't rushed. We all had a lovely evening and will definitely be going back.

9/06/18. starter, where 2 black pudding starter 1 suppe of the day (cauliflower stilton 1 grilled goat cheese .. 4 starter eaten and enjoyed. main dishes included 1 burger 1 lamb 1 lasagne 1 steak .. but again all main meal was completely enjoyed.. the staff is very friendly and it was a very pleasant thinning experience.

Went to black bull today for first time was shocked at price of the gin lemonade 21 pounds for one single and a double it is only 5 pounds for a double in in Victoria on ainsworth rd I ordered cheese onion pie chips beans for 10 pounds each for me and my 20 year old son it was a child size absolutely scandalous will not be going there ever again my son will need to eat again when he gets home value for money zero out of ten
