"We were the only ones in the patio and yet it took 30' to get our food (5 of us). When we asked for clarifications on the menu such as ingredients of the accompanying sauce for the salad or which ones were the seasonal vegetables, she couldn't answer. While we appreciated to be left alone, we were literally left alone. While they had an internal lunch going on at the opposite side and they were all focused on it. Food was great though and I appreciated they had gluten free bread for me."

"only returned from a beautiful week in y a and it was perfect in every sight! we were in a superior room that had a lot of space for the 2 of us. the bathroom was huge to london standards) and the floor heating was fantastic, after the move to return london for the day. breakfast every morning was wonderful, like the flat white ones! we only upgraded one tomorrow, as the continental offer was so impressive! the most beautiful fruit salads, the yogurt with granola and fruit-comonate....almost the trip alone worth it! y a was the perfect basis for tour london, we found ourselves most often rides, as the look of the second level was fantastic! buses to take us where we wanted to go were no longer that 2 blocks away. after a busy day in the inner city of london it was so pleasant to be back in relatiw quiet location of camden town in just 20-30 minutes. the return to the same few faces at the reception and our little boutique hotel made the london experience so intimate. with so many places to eat we have only eaten one night in y a. we chose pizza from the wood burning stove. I was a bit embarrassing to be that the guest is asked to sit in the less formal pizza salon instead of the formal dining room and the personal was happy to accommodate! the pizza was fantastic as you are expected! and huge! we ordered 2 but you would have been perfect for the exchange. many thanks to the entire team at y a! they have made our trip perfect! "We had a wonderful evening at this restaurant. The food was fantastic, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was beautiful. We chose to dine here because it was close to our hotel, and we are so happy we did. The cocktails were great, and our starters of crab ravioli and chicory and gorgonzola salad were delicious. Our main courses of chicken breast and spatchcock poussin were outstanding. We also enjoyed a lovely bottle of Chablis with our meal. We highly recommend this restaurant and plan on returning before we leave London."

"Delicious food and drinks. The service was relatively fast. My favourite dish was the Pan fried Halibut in the rich shellfish sauce. Not only was it presented beautifully, but the taste and texture also matched my expectations. The hispi cabbage and the rich broth like sauce complemented well with the halibut which was cooked to a perfect tenderness. The 12 hr Braised Beef tasted good, though it was slightly overcooked, making the meat a little drier/chewier to my liking. It 's rather like a Sunday roast too! The traditional Beer Battered Fish and Chips in the pub did not let me down. This piece of cod was meaty and succulent with a nice crispy batter crust. Oh, and the lovely chunky chips fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. I guess the most mediocre dish was the Mussels, Cockles and Clams. First of all, the shellfish were not cleaned properly, there were still traces of sand and beard in the mussels. Not great. The taste was fairly decent though the shellfish lacks flavour on its own (without the sauce). The upside is that it was served with chips so we didn 't have to order an extra side. Their chips were great! Overall, we were glad that we got a table relatively quickly considering we didn 't make a reservation. The service was friendly and quick, but the only hiccup was that the waiter got our bill mixed up with another table. A much bigger table that 's not even close to us...and when I pointed out his mistake, he was a little defensive at first, saying 'No, it 's not wrong '. However, he quickly apologised when he realised he was actually wrong. Because of this and the average shellfish dish, I had to knock a star off."

"This unique hotel has a pub attached to it. The rooms are fantastic, with a country house vibe, featuring large four poster beds and full, ornate furniture. The whiskey bar on the ground floor was incredible, and the bar manager was very knowledgeable about whiskey. While the food (for both dinner and breakfast) was good, the service was a bit lacking; there were no teaspoons or sugar on the table, they served chips instead of fries, and some steaks were delivered to the wrong people, making it seem a bit disorganised. However, the hotel is in a great location for a whisky tour or a walking tour. The pub downstairs was also lovely, with a mix of locals and guests."

"I used to come here regularly with my family in the 90s 00s. In those days it 's wasn 't particularly expensive, just hard to get a table. Pre Covid I 'd visit two or three times a year for a treat and we were always made to feel special. We decided to treat ourselves again in early January to ward off the blues. If it didn 't have the 'brand ' attached I 'd have felt it was a very average restaurant. The front of house staff were rude (not quite as bad as the ones at The Ivy Chelsea Garden but close) and passive aggressive. It was very busy at the front desk and I suspect the blockage was the wait staff not getting tables ready quickly enough. However, it was stupid to take it out on the people who 've just arrived. Then our waiter was a bit dippy. Very unusual for The Ivy. One eg he let both our glasses of wine empty and it took ages to flag someone down to fill them up (I 'm quite happy to do it myself but didn 't know where our wine was). Then the bloke who filled mine up wasn 't listening when I twice said 'that 's enough thank you ' so I had a large beaker of white wine to get down before it got warm. Also one of the loo seats in the ladies loo was completely detached. I daresay they are all knackered from a busy festive season or had a lot of agency staff on. But it 's not what it was and no longer value for money."

"to come back soon. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, the service was friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. We tried a variety of dishes and each one was bursting with flavor. The restaurant had a great selection of wines and cocktails as well. Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal in a charming setting. Can't wait to dine here again!"

"I actually attended on the Friday for evening dinner. We were suppose to have gone again on the Sunday afternoon. But decided to give it a miss. I was not as impressed as I once was with this place. I have been here a few times and have enjoyed. But this time I did not enjoy the meal. Some of it was cold. I ordered Irish coffee. They got sent back times. First ones never looked right. Second one very cold. Third time was fine. Even the cheese board was very minimal."

"Fantastic meal tonight! Good fast service and a wide range of both food and drink offerings. Food was utterly delicious! Hake supreme cooked beautifully with great flavour deserves a particular mention but all dishes really well flavoured and executed. Only 4 starts because I really missed the table service… the food is sensational, it’s just a shame to miss the personal touch of a waiter or waitress. Thank you for a lovely evening"

"The place was nice and we was seated at our table, we had to ask for a Drinks Menu. We ordered our meals, starters and mains, the starters were nice apart from the scotch egg which had no runny egg( but was told beforehand that this was down to the bird flu) we ordered the OX cheek, 2 Wagu burgers and a fillet steak.. the ox cheek was very nice.. however the 2 wagu burgers, we wasn't even asked how we would like these before ordering and to come out and they were both burnt!.. The fillet steak was ok, but the meat had been cut in half to see if they had cooked it correct..the only reason we didn't complain is that we were receiving the food at 50%... the service wasnt the best.. TBH I dont normally write reveiws but Felt I had to on this occasion"

"Went to meet an old friend and business associate for an informal lunch; excellent service, very prompt when you've only got limited time for lunch. Menu was standard fare but well cooked and excellent value. Ambience was comfortable busy without being crowded, A good restaurant for an informal ow cost business lunch."

"I tried to do feed back as I was told I should via my receipt.Apparently my dish didn’t exist.Chicken Karahi. Was beyond dissapointed chicken thigh.I ate around 3 tiny pieces. At £12.95 I expected breast..I reported it to my server and another member of staff.Whom were lovely but just apologised and said it’s breast and thigh..Mine had not one piece of breast. Will not return. There is lot more decent restaurant and better value.I can’t believe all the curry houses up for awards are not even that nice."

"The shepherd's pie was quite flavorful, but it could have benefited from some green vegetables instead of just sweet carrots and swedes. Having a small jug of gravy on the side would have also been a nice touch. The fish and chips were just average; there was too much batter and not enough fish, and the peas could have been better. However, the chunky chips were enjoyable. The kids opted for a selection from the small plates, and those were satisfactory. Overall, the experience was decent, but a bit pricey for what we received. Additionally, it would be great to see more fish and vegan options, as I'm not sure why the restaurant labels itself as vegan with only one or two choices available."

"I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed with my recent experience at this restaurant. I visited a few days ago with friends, and we all had similar feedback about their meal. The sirloin steak I ordered was very dry, even though it was cooked medium. Additionally, the pepper sauce didn't meet my expectations, as it seemed overly vinegary and sour. However, I have no complaints about the service, which was friendly and helpful. I'm inclined to explore other dining options before considering a return visit to your establishment."

"I have to agree with previous reviews and I hoped I would be mistaken. We went here today with my sister and sister in law as a pre bridesmaid lunch treat which I told them beforehand when I booked. They couldn't even give me what I'd requested which was a window seat in a booth overlooking the golf course. The food was extremely pricey for what it was and the portions very small. The service was extremely slow and pretty cheeky to add a £20 service charge . The meal cost almost £200 and we didn't even buy alcohol. I could have spent half of that and got somewhere equally as nice with better service. Feel like I've been robbed. It's time you sorted this out. I won't be back any time soon."

"The White Horse Edgworth is a friendly country pub located in the beautiful village of Edgworth in the West Pennine Moors. They offer real good value food and have a fully refurbished bar and dining area. They are open from Monday to Sunday, with varying hours depending on the day. Most days have live music which adds to the atmosphere and is also dog friendly which is a big help to walkers in the area. Wednesday is currently 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £15 which is great value and something we have been taking advantage of. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4"

"The hotel was excellent, the staff so welcoming. The atmosphere is so peaceful. The breakfast was absolutely spot on. I would recommend this hotel to all, it is a 3 minute walk to the Poplar DLR station which then gets you access to all of London Transport and Underground. If going to the O2 then this is the hotel to choose IMO. Parking for the Hotel is use the Indigo Car park on West India Quay, £22 for 24hrs (at time of this review). But you get a £4 reduction on showing your VAT reciept from the Hotel. The car park is walking distance, 15 mins or just 1 stop to Poplar via the DLR. (Oyster card recommended). But please do not just take my word for it, search other reviews or better still take a London trip and stay yourself, you will not be disappointed."

"I used to be a regular here but with new waiters and waitresses who have clearly not been trained in hospitality, I won’t be visiting again. On my penultimate trip, I was not served despite asking for a table and making eye contact. I had my baby whom I was feeding and had to wait for my sister to arrive to take my order as I was upset at the hostile staff. The next day I was charged for cakes I asked for but had not even been correctly packed. This was really careless as I was overloaded with shopping and couldn’t check my takeaway boxes and request missing items were packed as I had paid for them. On my last trip (Saturday 23rd) I stood at the front and paid for a hot drink which I requested as a takeaway with a poorly newborn but watched the waiter and waitress take other orders first. In the end I had to leave without my drink and money as I was far too angry but also tired at the prospect of standing around. It’s such a shame they were not able to hold onto their original staff who were so very kind and warm and friendly. Suffice to say I will not be coming here again and wasting my money."
