Savory ground meat topped with creamy mashed potatoes, baked until golden.

"We were the only ones in the patio and yet it took 30' to get our food (5 of us). When we asked for clarifications on the menu such as ingredients of the accompanying sauce for the salad or which ones were the seasonal vegetables, she couldn't answer. While we appreciated to be left alone, we were literally left alone. While they had an internal lunch going on at the opposite side and they were all focused on it. Food was great though and I appreciated they had gluten free bread for me."

"only returned from a beautiful week in y a and it was perfect in every sight! we were in a superior room that had a lot of space for the 2 of us. the bathroom was huge to london standards) and the floor heating was fantastic, after the move to return london for the day. breakfast every morning was wonderful, like the flat white ones! we only upgraded one tomorrow, as the continental offer was so impressive! the most beautiful fruit salads, the yogurt with granola and fruit-comonate....almost the trip alone worth it! y a was the perfect basis for tour london, we found ourselves most often rides, as the look of the second level was fantastic! buses to take us where we wanted to go were no longer that 2 blocks away. after a busy day in the inner city of london it was so pleasant to be back in relatiw quiet location of camden town in just 20-30 minutes. the return to the same few faces at the reception and our little boutique hotel made the london experience so intimate. with so many places to eat we have only eaten one night in y a. we chose pizza from the wood burning stove. I was a bit embarrassing to be that the guest is asked to sit in the less formal pizza salon instead of the formal dining room and the personal was happy to accommodate! the pizza was fantastic as you are expected! and huge! we ordered 2 but you would have been perfect for the exchange. many thanks to the entire team at y a! they have made our trip perfect! "We had a wonderful evening at this restaurant. The food was fantastic, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was beautiful. We chose to dine here because it was close to our hotel, and we are so happy we did. The cocktails were great, and our starters of crab ravioli and chicory and gorgonzola salad were delicious. Our main courses of chicken breast and spatchcock poussin were outstanding. We also enjoyed a lovely bottle of Chablis with our meal. We highly recommend this restaurant and plan on returning before we leave London."

"Delicious food and drinks. The service was relatively fast. My favourite dish was the Pan fried Halibut in the rich shellfish sauce. Not only was it presented beautifully, but the taste and texture also matched my expectations. The hispi cabbage and the rich broth like sauce complemented well with the halibut which was cooked to a perfect tenderness. The 12 hr Braised Beef tasted good, though it was slightly overcooked, making the meat a little drier/chewier to my liking. It 's rather like a Sunday roast too! The traditional Beer Battered Fish and Chips in the pub did not let me down. This piece of cod was meaty and succulent with a nice crispy batter crust. Oh, and the lovely chunky chips fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. I guess the most mediocre dish was the Mussels, Cockles and Clams. First of all, the shellfish were not cleaned properly, there were still traces of sand and beard in the mussels. Not great. The taste was fairly decent though the shellfish lacks flavour on its own (without the sauce). The upside is that it was served with chips so we didn 't have to order an extra side. Their chips were great! Overall, we were glad that we got a table relatively quickly considering we didn 't make a reservation. The service was friendly and quick, but the only hiccup was that the waiter got our bill mixed up with another table. A much bigger table that 's not even close to us...and when I pointed out his mistake, he was a little defensive at first, saying 'No, it 's not wrong '. However, he quickly apologised when he realised he was actually wrong. Because of this and the average shellfish dish, I had to knock a star off."

"The food was average, the service was okay, and the atmosphere was lacking due to COVID-19 restrictions which seemed to be an excuse to provide minimal effort. We may not come back as our reservation was for 7:45 pm, but due to COVID-19 restrictions starting at 6:00 pm, we had to dine earlier. We only found out about the change in dining time when we called the restaurant, as they did not contact us beforehand. While we are trying to support businesses during this time, it is disheartening when a restaurant seems more focused on doing the bare minimum."

"This unique hotel has a pub attached to it. The rooms are fantastic, with a country house vibe, featuring large four poster beds and full, ornate furniture. The whiskey bar on the ground floor was incredible, and the bar manager was very knowledgeable about whiskey. While the food (for both dinner and breakfast) was good, the service was a bit lacking; there were no teaspoons or sugar on the table, they served chips instead of fries, and some steaks were delivered to the wrong people, making it seem a bit disorganised. However, the hotel is in a great location for a whisky tour or a walking tour. The pub downstairs was also lovely, with a mix of locals and guests."

"Nice place. Service disappointing; loads of staff but very slow to ask for a drink order. Insist upon holding wine (chilling) away and out of reach of the table hence coming to try to fill your glass at the wrong time. Why can't restaurants understand that people drink at very different rates and don't want their glasses filled to a vulgar level before they have emptied the glass they are drinking? It is not only annoying but doesn't allow you to pace and watch how much you drink. And the wine is then not accessible when you want it! Despite requesting a very soft egg, the poached egg accompanying my fishcake was hard. The waitress (who has assured me it wouldn't be) was quick to bring me a replacement. Nice restaurant but I'd expect far better service from a good name like Ivy."

"I used to come here regularly with my family in the 90s 00s. In those days it 's wasn 't particularly expensive, just hard to get a table. Pre Covid I 'd visit two or three times a year for a treat and we were always made to feel special. We decided to treat ourselves again in early January to ward off the blues. If it didn 't have the 'brand ' attached I 'd have felt it was a very average restaurant. The front of house staff were rude (not quite as bad as the ones at The Ivy Chelsea Garden but close) and passive aggressive. It was very busy at the front desk and I suspect the blockage was the wait staff not getting tables ready quickly enough. However, it was stupid to take it out on the people who 've just arrived. Then our waiter was a bit dippy. Very unusual for The Ivy. One eg he let both our glasses of wine empty and it took ages to flag someone down to fill them up (I 'm quite happy to do it myself but didn 't know where our wine was). Then the bloke who filled mine up wasn 't listening when I twice said 'that 's enough thank you ' so I had a large beaker of white wine to get down before it got warm. Also one of the loo seats in the ladies loo was completely detached. I daresay they are all knackered from a busy festive season or had a lot of agency staff on. But it 's not what it was and no longer value for money."

"to come back soon. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, the service was friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. We tried a variety of dishes and each one was bursting with flavor. The restaurant had a great selection of wines and cocktails as well. Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal in a charming setting. Can't wait to dine here again!"

"I actually attended on the Friday for evening dinner. We were suppose to have gone again on the Sunday afternoon. But decided to give it a miss. I was not as impressed as I once was with this place. I have been here a few times and have enjoyed. But this time I did not enjoy the meal. Some of it was cold. I ordered Irish coffee. They got sent back times. First ones never looked right. Second one very cold. Third time was fine. Even the cheese board was very minimal."

"The place was nice and we was seated at our table, we had to ask for a Drinks Menu. We ordered our meals, starters and mains, the starters were nice apart from the scotch egg which had no runny egg( but was told beforehand that this was down to the bird flu) we ordered the OX cheek, 2 Wagu burgers and a fillet steak.. the ox cheek was very nice.. however the 2 wagu burgers, we wasn't even asked how we would like these before ordering and to come out and they were both burnt!.. The fillet steak was ok, but the meat had been cut in half to see if they had cooked it correct..the only reason we didn't complain is that we were receiving the food at 50%... the service wasnt the best.. TBH I dont normally write reveiws but Felt I had to on this occasion"

"Not only is this lovely little bar next to my work. I also get a pretty little 15% discount!I came here on the Friday before my birthday- so I have to say it was a pretty cheap do anyway, what with all the kindly offers of birthday drinks. I love the outside space here, on a nice day Paternoster Square is absolutely the place to be, thankfully we got a good day. I'd love to have a go at some of the food here as it sounds delightful, but alas there were pavements to pound and more bars to drink at so we didn't stay long enough for food. I'll definitely be heading back here though as the relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff make it the ideal place to wind down after the working week."

"Went to meet an old friend and business associate for an informal lunch; excellent service, very prompt when you've only got limited time for lunch. Menu was standard fare but well cooked and excellent value. Ambience was comfortable busy without being crowded, A good restaurant for an informal ow cost business lunch."

"The shepherd's pie was quite flavorful, but it could have benefited from some green vegetables instead of just sweet carrots and swedes. Having a small jug of gravy on the side would have also been a nice touch. The fish and chips were just average; there was too much batter and not enough fish, and the peas could have been better. However, the chunky chips were enjoyable. The kids opted for a selection from the small plates, and those were satisfactory. Overall, the experience was decent, but a bit pricey for what we received. Additionally, it would be great to see more fish and vegan options, as I'm not sure why the restaurant labels itself as vegan with only one or two choices available."

"I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed with my recent experience at this restaurant. I visited a few days ago with friends, and we all had similar feedback about their meal. The sirloin steak I ordered was very dry, even though it was cooked medium. Additionally, the pepper sauce didn't meet my expectations, as it seemed overly vinegary and sour. However, I have no complaints about the service, which was friendly and helpful. I'm inclined to explore other dining options before considering a return visit to your establishment."

"An excellent traditional restaurant that is a delight to visit. The tables are beautifully set with linen tablecloths and napkins, and even hand towels are provided in the restrooms. The service is friendly and attentive without being intrusive. However, the highlight of the visit is undoubtedly the food. We opted for the Friday night menu, where each dish offered a unique twist on the usual selections. All the appetizers we tried were outstanding. For the main course, I particularly enjoyed the mercer pie, which featured a flavorful combination of steak and mushrooms encased in a delicate pancake, served alongside roasted potatoes and baby carrots. Two of us chose hot desserts, while the two gentlemen at our table were too full and instead decided to go for ice cream. We shared a bottle of Prosecco and one of Malbec among the four of us, and our total came to £28, plus service."

"My Husband ordered a farmhouse breakfast but the sausages were not cooked properly, the waitress came and took the sausages ,replaced and was apologetic which we appreciated but still added service charge to bill which we thought was really poor ,especially as we had bad experience with the food. We paid the service charge but will not be returning."

"The White Horse Edgworth is a friendly country pub located in the beautiful village of Edgworth in the West Pennine Moors. They offer real good value food and have a fully refurbished bar and dining area. They are open from Monday to Sunday, with varying hours depending on the day. Most days have live music which adds to the atmosphere and is also dog friendly which is a big help to walkers in the area. Wednesday is currently 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £15 which is great value and something we have been taking advantage of. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4"
