"The White Horse Edgworth is a friendly country pub located in the beautiful village of Edgworth in the West Pennine Moors. They offer real good value food and have a fully refurbished bar and dining area. They are open from Monday to Sunday, with varying hours depending on the day. Most days have live music which adds to the atmosphere and is also dog friendly which is a big help to walkers in the area. Wrong food brought to table, stock was low and dead insect in food. Portion sizes were extremely small and cutlery not brought out at all (However I will say that we were a larger group of two tables that did order separately so I do appreciate that). I had lunch at 1:00 pm and the food was excellent and served very quickly. The restaurant was quiet, so I'm not sure how efficient it is during busy times, but I had no complaints. The prices were very reasonable, and the restaurant is dog-friendly. I would recommend trying the Vegetable Burger and the Creamed Goats Cheese with Beetroot. Overall, a nice experience at a good value. Price per person: £20-30.

Enjoyed a superb lunch today with a friend, who was having a belated birthday meal with me. At the end, she was presented with a portion of biscoff cheesecake with a lit candle on top! Such a lovely kind gesture and much appreciated. My slow cooked lamb shepherd's pie was gorgeous. We will return soon!
