"This restaurant is not worth the hype or the high prices. Our table was unfortunately located next to the cooking area, resulting in strong and overpowering cooking smells. The shared Indian platter we ordered as a starter was disappointingly deep fried, greasy, and tasted like it had been frozen. The naan bread and rice were the only saving grace. The Chicken Makhani dish lacked flavor and tasted like canned tomato soup, and was lacking in spice. At £24 per serving, it was definitely not worth the cost."

"The White Horse Edgworth is a friendly country pub located in the beautiful village of Edgworth in the West Pennine Moors. They offer real good value food and have a fully refurbished bar and dining area. They are open from Monday to Sunday, with varying hours depending on the day. Most days have live music which adds to the atmosphere and is also dog friendly which is a big help to walkers in the area. Wednesday is currently 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £15 which is great value and something we have been taking advantage of. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4"

"I used to be a regular here but with new waiters and waitresses who have clearly not been trained in hospitality, I won’t be visiting again. On my penultimate trip, I was not served despite asking for a table and making eye contact. I had my baby whom I was feeding and had to wait for my sister to arrive to take my order as I was upset at the hostile staff. The next day I was charged for cakes I asked for but had not even been correctly packed. This was really careless as I was overloaded with shopping and couldn’t check my takeaway boxes and request missing items were packed as I had paid for them. On my last trip (Saturday 23rd) I stood at the front and paid for a hot drink which I requested as a takeaway with a poorly newborn but watched the waiter and waitress take other orders first. In the end I had to leave without my drink and money as I was far too angry but also tired at the prospect of standing around. It’s such a shame they were not able to hold onto their original staff who were so very kind and warm and friendly. Suffice to say I will not be coming here again and wasting my money."

"my partner and I stayed here in the week to use a voucher that I had on another place for the afternoon tee; but stay in this hotel ended the main feature of the visit. we were in the octagonal room that has a big wow factor that were amazing, but so was the room together with it's luxury features. the staff was very friendly and helpful, we had to drop our bags long before check-in and leave them for a series of hours after check-out, but that was certainly not a problem for the staff. we decided to have the breakfast after we have seen the reviews online and it was certainly not disappointing, the waitress offered hot drinks regularly and the buffet was constantly refreshed, so I would recommend this as part of their stay. overall this was an excellent hotel, great location with wonderful staff and in mind that it was amazing value for money. If they don't stay here, they'll lose!"

"This restaurant is a wonderful local gem. My group enjoyed delicious camembert and mushroom starters, followed by a tasty chicken pie. The staff added an extra touch to our dining experience with their friendly and welcoming service. The price per person ranged from £20 to £30, but the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere was well worth it. I highly recommend trying the Extra Crusty Baguette. There is plenty of parking available for customers, with a free parking lot as an option."

"First time in Dublin but went back twice for dinner! First was a rib eye which was juicy and tender and accompanied by its crispy potato gratin, which was enjoyed to fullest. Went back second time and had their lamb shepherd's pie, which was simply awesome! Recommended for tthose who doesn't eat lamb cuz lamb taste is minimum. Cocktails tasted great. Tried their Sussex G&T, whiskey sour and aperol spritz!"

"a few kilometers from bromyard and below a beautiful daffodil straddle-lined runway this is a great foundation! beautiful location with access to the fishing, lakes, walks and animal world. the pub is old and traditional both outside and inside, with wood tables, a large woodburn, comfortable chairs and very inviting staff. eating is very good...an interesting extensive menu, local products, good cooks and friendly service. have they been warned? the portions are really generous! I had a delicious mushroom soup with broth roll butter, followed by steak and ale cake, chips and exalted: my wife had the cod chips with muddy heels. both beautifully cooked beautifully presented, but none of us had a room for dessert! we enjoyed a pint of ipa, a pint of the local zider and an orange with limonade, the bill came to a very reasonable £40...money well spent on an unforgettable, pleasant and well served meal. highly recommended!"

"My family and I stopped in for lunch after our trip to Incholm Island. Lunch at The Hawes Inn restaurant was the perfect end to our stay in the most beautiful country I have seen in my travels. The meal was absolutely delicious. The wonderful service exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious with wonderful presentation, the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable with a stunning view of the water. I had the Sea Bass King Prawns. Sadly they were out of prawns but my choice was still delicious. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the fish chips while my son devoured the signature burger. We ended the meal with coffee that was served with the most delicious little piece of heaven on the side (I wish I would have asked what it was), and an absolutely beautiful strawberry meringue dessert."

"Marco was an excellent maître d', very attentive and welcoming. The dining room is beautiful, although the tables could be spaced further apart. The greenery helps absorb sound, and we appreciated the attention to detail, like the very long phone call from the businessman at the next table. The food was exceptional, beautifully presented, and we left feeling very satisfied. There was a significant wait between courses, which meant we indulged in too much delicious bread and ended up spending almost three hours there. However, the restaurant did not rush us, which was appreciated. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience with a good atmosphere and attentive, hospitable staff."

"This Turkish restaurant is one of my favorites! We always order the large platter, which is enough for up to 6 people."
"Bill's in Oxford is the latest branch of a chain that began on the south coast, in Lewes , with a café that was also a greengrocer's: not much more than a decade on, branches seem to be springing up everywhere. The shop element has been retained, although the fruit and vegetables have become gourmet jams, sweets, beers and other goods that are stacked on tables and shelves throughout the restaurant. Bill's have taken over the Northgate Hall on St Michael's Street, and clearly plenty of cash has been spent on converting this high-ceilinged old building into a shabbily chic, warehouse-style space. Apart from those desserts, the menu is fairly wide-ranging and has a distinctly summery...read more"

"We had a fantastic dining experience at The Treehouse. We opted for the 2-course set menu for £18, which included some of the best food we've had in a long time. We couldn't resist adding dessert, bringing our total to £25 for 3 courses. The service was extremely friendly and relaxed, and the decor of the restaurant was warm, cosy, and beautiful. The quality of the food was exceptional, especially considering the price. This was our first time dining at The Treehouse, but it certainly won't be our last. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience. This review is based on our lunch meal."

"We visited for a large family lunch and it was just perfect. Superbly organised, great friendly service, great menu and lovely food. Would definitely recommend and would like to specifically draw attention to how well they managed a large booking with excellent suggestions. A great find and super location in a pretty village with easy access from major roads. THANK YOU for making a big day a success."

"I had a wonderful Sunday lunch at The Halfway Inn. There were two of us, and we thoroughly enjoyed a traditional Sunday roast. We started with the tempura prawns, which were light, crispy, and delicious. The roasts were plentiful, and I have to give a special mention to the gravy—it was absolutely outstanding. Although we were quite full, we couldn't resist trying the sticky toffee pudding, which was exceptional, especially when paired with the homemade fig honey ice cream. The selection of wine and ale was lovely, and the friendly service in a cozy setting made it a fantastic way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 4."
"The fish pie and steak pie was delicious. The girl taking our drink orders was absolutely terrible. I asked for a Tanqueray and slimline tonic and she looked at me as if I had two heads! I eventually just asked her for a Bombay and slimline but she brought a regular tonic. My husband ordered a pint of diet Pepsi and she brought a small bottle of regular Pepsi! There was a young man who came over a few times to check on us and brought our food...he was much better as he brought us refills of correct drinks ordered."
