"The restaurant is very nicely decorated but the food and service do not match to that experience. We were sat so close to other people on other tables it was like were dining with them. We attended pre concert and chose the concert menu. The appetisers came within minutes of ordering, there wasn't a lot for the price. The mains we had to wait over 45 minutes for which was not good and we kept being told it was on the way. The food when it came was average curry really. It had obviously been cooked in a huge batch as it was on the set menu so not sure why it took so long. The service was not great...we were never asked if the food was ok or if we wanted another drink. We only had Coke and this was rather expensive at £3 for a tiny bottle.... Overall i think the place is very nice but the food was average at best and the service poor. The set menu was £25 per person which was not value for what you actually got. We saw a 10% service charge on our bill which we asked to be removed. Tried it, but wouldn't go back again."

"It’s been sometime since I last went to the Mark Cross. Had heard there had been a change of hands which is always a risk but I have to say, the food was sublime! "It has been a while since we dined at this restaurant. We were very impressed with the new decor. The service was excellent from the moment we arrived. They did not rush us to our table, allowing us to relax at the bar with a drink. Our server, a polite young lady, apologized for a slight delay, even though we did not feel inconvenienced. The restaurant was busy with a large group, which may have been why she felt the need to apologize. She was knowledgeable about the menu and informed us right away when a starter we wanted was limited in availability. Throughout our meal, she ensured we were comfortable and kept our drinks filled. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I mentioned to my husband that we should make the effort to dine here more often."

"Fantastic small Italian in Parsons Green . The staff were great friendly . Lots of choice for starters mains. Also lots of veggie choices . "It’s been a while since we ate here. We were very impress with the new decor. Service was great from the moment we walked in. They didn’t rush us to our table so we were able to relax in the bar for a drink. The young lady that was our server was polite, not pushy but apologise for the delay. We didn’t feel there was one. They were busy in the restaurant with a huge group so that’s most probably why she felt she should apologise. She knew what was available so when we order three of the same starters she knew straight away there was only two left, normally in our experience you order the food and the waitress would come back to say not available. She made sure through out our stay that we were ok and kept us topped up with drinks. Food was fantastic and good value for money. Told my husband we should make the effort and come here more often."

"Booked a three course meal via wowcher , were seated in an extension of the pub with interiors which didn’t really match up with the rest of the hotel. Ordered a burger for kids which was not a part of the set meal which came in approx 20 mins which was a good thing . The burger was probably good they ate it all. We receive the salad as starters fairly quick , supposed to be grill mixed veg starters , poor wife only had leaves no trace of any grilled veg don’t think I specified she had any allergy to grilled veg , I Had the grilled veg plus the leaves So was ok. The main course came exactly in 1 hour and 15 mins from time of ordering . Wife said her chicken was ok my pork belly was extremely dry luckily had a whole bottle of Prosecco as part of the meal which made It much easier . Absolutely no flavour or taste usually I really enjoy anything when I am starving , but not this time. Didn’t really think was worth waiting for the third course, lemon sorbet which was part of the set meals for another hour in a dining spot with poor ambience . So left without the third course, the waiter was kind enough to not charge for the burger and the sparkling water which was an extra you go to restaurants for experience the deal itself was cheap but definitely the worst meal I have ever had in my whole life in a restaurant . Didn’t really expect this from Hyatt, they could rather charge a bit more and keep up the minimum expectation . There were only two waiters managing whole of the pub, both were extremely polite ."

"I went here with my fiancé for a four cocktails and a four/five plates of foods. The total bill was an eye watering The service was decent but I couldn’t help but feel we got ripped off a tad. The food was good but not at that price bracket. It’s a shame because the decor is fantastic and the bar is very hip and the Clientèle seem fun. I may return for drinks but for what it is, it’s far too expensive. There are plenty of other places you can go eat for the price. Im unsure how they can keep getting repeat business..."

"Awful experience. Booked a table for 6pm and was ignored for 10 minutes by staff members who didn’t know how to access the bookings info. After 20 mins finally we were given a table and told to order at the bar. Ordered a jug of sangria and was charged £2 service charge?? Then by 645pm we were still waiting for our drink only to go to the bar to be laughed at and told they forgot to bring it! Took it back to the table and realised the porcelain jug was cracked and chipping into the drink… we weren’t offered an alternative eventually we left at 7pm after demanding a refund spent an hour there and had zero service, no drink, and the owner is more concerned with parading around taking selfies. Absolute joke of a place much like Boujee a few doors down!"

"I wasn't particularly impressed with my experience. The restaurant is small and cramped. We managed to get a table in the back, which was suitable for our group; however, if more tables had been occupied, it would have felt quite cramped. We ordered both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian thalis, and everyone sampled the Malfy cooler cocktail. While the food and drinks were tasty and authentic, we were taken aback by the prices. We paid £45 per person for just one meal and one drink each. At that price, I would expect a full three-course meal. Madhus von Richmond really needs to consider offering a set menu or lowering their prices a bit. I wouldn’t return for a dine-in experience, but I might consider takeout."

"Food was fantastic, and at the end of the day, that is the main reason to go to a restaurant. The chair was a little bit low for the table, but that would be the only comment on comfort. There are two seating areas, either out the front, if you want to be seen, or inside if you prefer a quieter setting, which we chose and it was perfect. Servers were very knowledgeable and the Thali's were some of the best we have had. We frequent this area, so will definitely be back."

"Always heart-breaking when a great LGBTQ+ bar is let down by one or two unprofessional unhelpful staff members. Tried to book a table for 7 people (10 days in advance) for my birthday, which happened to fall on a Saturday. Despite birthday parties being advertised on their website and being allowed to complete the booking online, they cancelled my booking with no explanation. I called the bar to help sort it out, and was passed to another person then was told that person does not deal with bookings, I left a number to be passed on and heard back a bit later. The person who answered explained very bluntly they do not accept bookings of more than 6 people online, they also would reject a booking at that time on a Saturday (evening 8pm). I asked if we showed up on Saturday would we be able to gain entry, they said no guarantee. I told them that their website advertises for these times, they reinforced that any more than 6 is an immediate cancellation. I enquired what is the point of the birthday booking system then if you can 't book. They replied you can, just not any more than 6 and not on a Saturday night. I said you need to advertise that as your website booking system allows more than 6 people and bookings for a Saturday evening. They said it 's to stop people showing up drunk in fancy dress and football tops. I said, so if I book for 6 people, no fancy dress, no football tops, we show up sober and one more person decides to join us, is that is okay? and they said no, they would not accept additional people and couldn 't give us a table. Blunt, no compromise, no recommendations. Was told I simply could not pre-arrange 7 people to arrive at 8pm on a Saturday night. Really disappointed as our group is mixed of queer and allies, we wanted a safe and fun night."
