"An overall great dining experience. Started with Kalamar and beef sausage. The Kalamar was a bit rubbery and the sausage was a tad salty but on the whole pretty good. The Adana Kofte main, however was incredible and beautifully tender. Highly recommended! Even the complimentary bread was a great starting point. The staff were also kind enough to allow us to stick around a little while after we'd finished in order to feed our baby which was much appreciated."

"Although the restaurant is pleasantly decorated, that was the highlight of our visit. We felt that there was a bad attitude to customers from the start. We asked for tap water and instead of being given a jug for the table, we were each given a half filled glass. When we saw the astronomical prices for drinks, for water, for creamy milk drinks we realised that we'd better make our tepid tap water last. The food was average with no extras like you'd expect our cold mezze plate for was basically some dips plus rice in vine leaves. No pitta you have to pay extra for that. Rest of food distinctly average, some not nice at all spinach parcels avoid. Very loud music playing. Large service charge added. Will never go back"

"Absolute Gem! Food is fantastic and reasonably priced. We had the meatballs, baba ganoush and F Salad to start, these were full of fresh flavours and utterly delicious. Mains, I had the lamb with rice and my companions had the chicken platter lamb was tender, but looking at the chicken platter, will order that one next time. Mains are very large, but can take home what you can't eat. Limited selection of drinks, but they also do fresh carrot juice. Atmosphere was a little lacking because we were the only ones in at the time, it was 7 on a Wednesday night. When you first step in it's a takeaway counter and then there is seating for the restaurant to the side. We found out as we were leaving that upstairs is a shish bar where they serve coffee and a huge dessert selection. We were too stuffed to partake, but will visit it next time. Overall, would Def come again, food was excellent!"

"Our multi generational family group really enjoyed our meal here recently. They are a family run restaurant specialising in traditional Lebanese and Syrian food. The menu is quite comprehensive to say the least, and not being *that* familiar with the cuisine of this region we opted for a few starter dishes we'd heard of (such as Babaghanouj) together with some others we hadn't. Sharing everything was a great way to try multiple things and I'd recommend it here as there were some really tasty discoveries. For mains, most of us chose a kebab in one form or another, with separate servings of salad and rice (the Mujadara rice whole lentils rice cooked in vegetable oil spices, topped with fried onions was really good). As an added bonus, you can bring your own alcohol with you the corkage is only £1 a bottle. They also stock a range of Lebanese wines and beers as well as some mainstream beers. Given how popular the restaurant was on a Sunday evening goes to show they cook and serve great food. We'll definitely be returning here."

"al sultan is a restaurant in the shepherd market quarter. it is on a small pedestrian zone behind park lane where there are several oriental restaurants. that is a classic Lebanese restaurant. the mezze, tapa style hot and cold dishes, change daily. there are bratlamm, filled or fried auberginen, zucchini with rice and her belt sauce, hummus natural, tabouleh, etc. the entries are 5 or 6 pfund and it takes about two or three to make a complete dinner. there are also cheese salad, spicy nuts, fish eggs in oil, spinach with cilantro. most dishes are very healthy and perfectly presented. the Shawarma style roasts are 12 pounds."

"Having read previous reviews we had prepared ourselves for a long wait but our food arrived very quickly. It was delicious! Very friendly and helpful staff, food fairly priced and the portions are huge, the amount of food waste they produce must be quite significant. With that in mind and knowing they are still in the process of developing their menu, might be a good idea if one could order half portions instead. Just a suggestion! "We booked a party of 8 for a 5.45 slot as we had to leave at 7 to attend a concert at 7.30. Although some members of the party were late, orders of most people were placed at 6.00. No-one got their main course (in some cases the only course) till 6.45 despite several requests that the performer in the party should be served as soon as her food was ready. Staff waited for the latecomers order to be taken, and then all food was served at absolutely the last minute. The staff seemed overwhelmed by the number of diners, and communication was difficult due to language difficulties. My Lasagne was overcooked and unappetizing. I will not go back."

"This restaurant in Coventry is one of the best places to enjoy delicious Middle Eastern cuisine! The customer service is amazing and the servers, who are brothers, are very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was delicious and portion sizes were just right. "What a disappointment... This has been my favorite Lebanese restaurant for months. Unfortunately, it feels like they have downgraded their ingredients and removed many of the perks that made dining here special. Gone are the complimentary bread and the nice salad; now you just get a tiny bit of lettuce. The chicken also tastes much cheaper—it's not fresh and lacks flavor. I didn't mind paying £16 before, but sadly, they've lost me as a customer."

We found the chilies in the garlic mogo very over powering but the rest of the dishes were tasty and not overly priced.Two areas of disappointment Service they were clearly understaffed and some one the staff members did not really know what was happening.
