"This restaurant delivered a pizza to my house by mistake, the pizza was meant to be for a house, about four doors away from me. I was cooking BBQ food in the garden when there was a knock at the door, which my wife answered. Her son who was working upstairs, has takeaway food delivered at least three time a week. She accepted the delivery, thinking it was for him, she called out to him and he replied that he hadn't ordered anything. She asked me, I said no, of course not. I checked the delivery for signs of where it had come from of where it was supposed to be. There were no indications at all, no phone numbers, no restaurant name, no receipt and no delivery note. I said leave it there, they will come back when the mistake is spotted. 40 minutes went by and there was a knock at the door. A very angry man asking me if we had received a food delivery. He was the person who placed the order. I told him we had and explained what had happened. He calmed down a little, I asked him if he wanted the food, he said no, not now. It was then that I decided to compost the food and recycle the cardboard. 10 minutes later another knock and another angry person, this time from the restaurant. Again I explained what had happened but I got the impression he did not believe me, he walked away shaking his head, I asked him where had he and the food come from. He told me Plenty in Hampton. My initial thoughts were surprise, as I was busy cooking. However later I was angry. Angry that the restaurant gave out my number and angry that I was questioned by the manager/owner or whoever he was. Surely they should have printed a receipt or delivery note and surely giving out my address was very wrong."

"Latteria is open daily for breakfast and lunch from Monday and offers late dinner service from Thursday to Saturday. As a nod to Italy, we ordered an "Aperol Spritz" (£8.50), which we enjoyed immensely. The menu features other Italian-inspired cocktails like "Mojito Milan" and an extensive selection of Italian wines and coffee. It’s hard to beat Italian cuisine, and Latteria represents its country’s culinary tradition very well. We started with a delicious rosemary garlic focaccia (£5), which was crispy and flavorful. We also had a lentil salad with green apple, cucumber, and datterino tomatoes (£8.50) that was a delightful surprise! The combination of simple ingredients created amazing flavors, showcasing the essence of good Italian cooking. We particularly enjoyed how the fresh apple complemented the rich lentils. For our main courses, we tried the tagliatelle pomodoro, which is served in a classic tomato sauce with fresh basil (£7.50). This vegetarian dish can easily be made vegan by substituting the pasta. Once again, the dish relied on simple ingredients, resulting in a wonderfully fresh and tasty meal. We also opted for the chicken Milanese served with rocket salad and fries (£13). It was impressively large, but we polished it off quickly! The breadcrumb coating was crispy without being greasy, and the chicken was tender and flavorful. The salad was fresh, and the fries were excellent. We couldn’t resist trying the house-made profiteroles (£5), and we were so glad we did. They were perfect choux pastries filled with fresh cream and drizzled with chocolate—simply heavenly! Overall, Latteria is a bright and lively Italian restaurant in Islington, offering high-quality food and service. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Just a short walk from Angel Station, it sits at the heart of Milan-inspired dining! I highly recommend it for a delightful meal."
