"we have booked for a afternoon tee and it was absolutely delightful. it came to the right tie cake standing and china crooked and saw a picture; such love to detail. we had a selection of delicious fingersandwiches on fluffy brot, a huge scones with jam and camouflaged cream and delicious cakes, including a profiterole and a piece of heavenly lemon cake! Tea refills came free, and very fast, and all efforts were made to give us sufficient space for a wheelchair. overall a wonderful experience that will be repeated in any case!"

"On Friday the 28th of June my wife ordered a “lovingly prepared” 3 cheese sourdough toastie costing £9.00 from the Lakeside Cafe in Keswick. What was served up was 2 small slices that were burnt to a crisp on the inside with the remnants of a small amount of extremely overcooked cheese. See photos attached. The toast was so hard that you could crack teeth or lose fillings . The so called “chef” had very cleverly put the burnt toast on the inside of the toastie with the I burnt sides in the outsides. My wife ate what she was able as we didn’t have the time to wait for the food to be replaced. Very unpleasant , unprofessional and disappointing ."

"This lovely little cafe with its friendly staff and cosy atmosphere has been our refuge over the last few months, while we had to wait for one of our dogs to have chemo at the local vets. They welcomed us, including our other dog with tasty food and hot tea. Oh and biscuits for the pooch. Highly recommended. PS we bought garden pots as well"

"Whoever thought up the Eggs Benedict with tattie scone and black pudding should be knighted, what a masterpiece of culinary delight. We visited for breakfast this morning, the welcome was warm, the service very friendly and the food incredible. Don’t get me started on the coffee (it’s the best we have had whilst we’ve been here on holiday. Well worth a visit. Please keep this on the breakfast menu as we are planning to come back next year."
