"We ordered 2 Breakfasts 12.50 each and 2 teas 3 each . Sausages were hard to cut thick skin toast was not toasted properly and hard to cut .The whole breakfast was not first class ,like it had been cooked earlier . We have been here before and were completely satisfied that time . It did not seem so good this time even though it was more expensive now ."

"While a bit pricey for a cup of tea, it is a common rate for most establishments in the Lake District. It is a lovely spot to seek shelter from the weather for a while. I revisited recently for dinner and was impressed with the delicious food and generous portions. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive."

"This lovely little cafe with its friendly staff and cosy atmosphere has been our refuge over the last few months, while we had to wait for one of our dogs to have chemo at the local vets. They welcomed us, including our other dog with tasty food and hot tea. Oh and biscuits for the pooch. Highly recommended. PS we bought garden pots as well"
