"We arrived at the time we had booked, they didn’t have our table reserved so they tried to seat us on another terrace, not the one booked. We asked to be seated on the upper terrace and they managed to seat us but they were very obviously annoyed, and a little rude. Ordered starters and mains which all came out together and when we said we ordered them as starters and mains were told “well that’s not what the order says” they sent them back and whilst we were eating our starters they asked us 4 times if we had finished. Hey presto when the mains came out they were very obviously reheated. There was hot salad on my plate! All the food was going to the wrong tables, wrong orders, the table next to us waited an hour for their drinks. Starters were lovely, mains were not. We ordered more drinks which they got wrong twice, so we left straight after eating what we could. To sum it up an awful evening, almost amusingly so, as it was chaos, the staff minus two lads working were rude and the food was kept under a hot plate. We won’t be returning such a shame as it’s a beautiful setting. One word of advice to the management please ask your waitresses with really long hair to tie it back, there was hair everywhere and we could hear other people saying the same!"

"It's a shame that I have to give the place 1 star. Went when it was Marco Pierre White, wasn't massively impressed. It changed to Arnold's- lovely restaurant. Quality place, good food, excellent service. Haven't been there for a while so decided to go at the last minute. OH!! It seems ownership has changed. It's more like the equivalent of travelodge for food! 2 staff serving at a peak period. 1 till point. Staff clearly have no experience. Food took FOREVER!! Don't even serve coffee! They went and got coffee from a machine in the hotel!! Brought mains and starters at the same time. Brought soup without a spoon! Peas served with the fish pie had been poured from a tin into a bowl and were sat in the water cold. The chicken had been petrified and cooked to a crackle. Given that the food could only reasonably compete with that of an airline this is a task within itself. Poor selection of drinks. Needless to say, a restaurant I enjoyed eating at had disappeared into the mist and instead replaced with something indescribable I will not return. On the plus side, the furniture is nice, clean and it's a relatively chilled' environment if only the restaurant complimented it. They could have at least changed the name again! What a disaster!!!"

"We stayed here to attend a wedding and the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. The breakfast service was superb with tasty bacon plus LOTS of classic breakfast fare, so much so I didn't even notice the missing hash browns until the next day when the honest host confirmed he had just forgotten to serve them. A good place to stay. Rooms: Ours was a little tired. For example a loose wardrobe knob, a wobbly toilet seat and unprofessional decorating. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great value"

"It was a lovely restaurant. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars all round is because it was my birthday and when we went in the restaurant was not busy but they place us in a dark area of the restaurant. In the middle by a wall which felt like we we were dumped there by the first young girl that served us. We asked to move and was asked if we have a booking. I said yes and quickly booked a table. When they checked the system only then did they open the whole back of the restaurant and put us in a decent area where it was more scenic. The restaurant never got busy so I don't understand why we were not initially offered a decent table. The food and the young lady(different) that served us now is what saved the experience and made it a lovely end to my birthday."

"Unfortunately I was really disappointed with our experience at Jack Burrito, the level of customer service was very poor, on arrival we weren't taken to our table, just pointed towards the booth at the back... when asked for side plates, we were brought napkins, there was no check back or offer of further drinks once the meal had arrived, which is a shame because my quesadilla was dry and I would really have liked some extra hot sauce, and because we didn't finish our meal, we asked if we would be able to take the rest away, and instead of taking it to the kitchen to be packaged, two boxes were brought to the table for us to pack up ourselves! The food was average at best, large portion sizes, however, the pulled chicken quesadilla was literally dry chicken in a wrap with cheese melted on the top, I just expect more from a restaurant specialising in Mexican food. The side salads need work, just plain lettuce with a splash of balsamic... I suppose we got what we paid for as the meal was fairly inexpensive, however I just expect more, especially as the last time I ate there the menu was much bigger and the service seemed better too! Definitely gone downhill, sadly."

"The check-in process was quick and friendly. However, some tables are hidden from view of the bar, making it easy to feel forgotten. The food was delicious but there was a long wait between starters and main courses. One of our main courses was undercooked, causing us to finish our meals before the final dish arrived. The staff were apologetic, but there was some pressure to order dessert while we were still eating. Despite these issues, our server, who was new, showed great hospitality skills. "Very disappointed and sad we were not the only ones. Since it was mother’s day it was a reduced menu so choice a little limited, sunday roasts, salmon, curry or steak. We asked which steak was served and told chips, tomatoes and mushrooms. Two steaks were ordered. Our appetizers arrived and the bread and salsa, the part of them were not. We raised this up, it got polite. The hello friars were Mozzarella. The main course came and the steak was actually served on roast potatoes, filling, Yorkshire pudding and carrots. Raised this as not happy and 10 mins later chips, mushroom and tomatoes arrived. The roast dinner we had was bad. Beef was fat and hard, potatoes saw boiled, but were hard and only 2 of them. We had also missed a leg harness of cauliflower cheese and said we had to wait 20 minutes if we wanted to. The dessert was okay. We were told that they don't make cocktails, although the drinks menu says there is a separate wine and cocktail menu. Because we complained, they accused us for only 2 courses, not three, which a saving of £20. So we spent £140 on a substandard meal that was disappointing on Mother's Day. We were not the only people who complained."

"We visited this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. I had made a reservation earlier in the week. Upon arrival, we waited a long time at the bar. When we finally spoke to the bartender, he mentioned that he couldn't find our reservation and said that they don't usually take bookings, even though their website encourages booking in advance. We were seated at a booth, and after ordering our drinks twice, they finally arrived. The food left much to be desired, with small portions and some items undercooked. I was unable to finish my meal. Although we appreciate the Meercat Meals promotion, we would not visit this restaurant again. The experience was disorganized and the food was subpar."

"I visited this restaurant for the second time in 10 days and was once again impressed. After enjoying their delicious Mexican cuisine during my first visit, I decided to return and try their Indian food. I was blown away by the amazing dishes and the top-notch service provided by every member of the staff. The owner's wife even came by to check if everything was to our liking. I plan on returning again this week to try their Thai food. Kudos to everyone at the restaurant, I would rate my experience a 15/10 if I could! Overall, a fantastic dining experience."
