"pleasantly surprised how amazing the food was! it was our first trip to the clubhouse yesterday after reading the great reviews, and I must say we had the best burgers in the city! the host is very humble and so a nice guy, we didn't know that we had to inform him in advance for iftar orders, so we only showed up 20 minutes before iftar, but he took our orders graciously and made delicious food for us and it was banging on time. this place will now be a regular favorite of us."

"We arrived at the time we had booked, they didn’t have our table reserved so they tried to seat us on another terrace, not the one booked. We asked to be seated on the upper terrace and they managed to seat us but they were very obviously annoyed, and a little rude. Ordered starters and mains which all came out together and when we said we ordered them as starters and mains were told “well that’s not what the order says” they sent them back and whilst we were eating our starters they asked us 4 times if we had finished. Hey presto when the mains came out they were very obviously reheated. There was hot salad on my plate! All the food was going to the wrong tables, wrong orders, the table next to us waited an hour for their drinks. Starters were lovely, mains were not. We ordered more drinks which they got wrong twice, so we left straight after eating what we could. To sum it up an awful evening, almost amusingly so, as it was chaos, the staff minus two lads working were rude and the food was kept under a hot plate. We won’t be returning such a shame as it’s a beautiful setting. One word of advice to the management please ask your waitresses with really long hair to tie it back, there was hair everywhere and we could hear other people saying the same!"

"This was a post business meeting lunch of 5 people, week day lunchtime and the restaurant was very quiet. The service wasnt speedy, the food did take a good while to arrive but it was freshly cooked so worth the wait. The restaurant/cafe is clean and basic but welcoming. The menu is very good and the food on both occasions we have eaten there has been above average. Value for money it is pub prices or higher but no complaints."

"We booked a table for 18:30. First issue was our table wasn’t ready for us, second issue was there was lots of people standing around us allowing us not to enjoy our meal and the final issue was the food itself, the haggis and steak burger was horrendous not one of my friends finished it, there was a massive hair in my own and they were all dry, I asked specifically for my burger to be plain with cheese haggis and steak I received none of that. The man who served us wasn’t interested at all, and the food came very fast showing us that it was reheats."

"It seems that the staff could use a bit more experience. Everyone appeared quite young and inexperienced, except for one young man who seemed genuinely apologetic about the situation and clearly has the potential to be a manager, as he recognized the issues. The service was incredibly slow, the menu was lacking variety, and one of the bartenders had a strong odor, suggesting he hadn’t washed in days, and his clothes were quite wrinkled. The first waitress treated me as if I were at a fast-food restaurant. The food was nearly cold upon arrival, although the dessert was quite good. Breakfast items were excellent but overwhelmed by the large number of patrons; they really should manage bookings better if they’re expecting such crowds. I was even suggested to sit in the bar area, away from the restaurant, with four children, which meant I had to keep walking back and forth to get their meals throughout the morning. I had my wedding there once, and the experience was much better back then. The hotel would benefit from having some more experienced staff and a manager regularly monitoring the situation, especially addressing the issues with the bartending staff. Unfortunately, since the hotel modernization, I’ve consistently experienced poor service during three visits. On a positive note, the rooms were comfortable, and the prices were reasonable. I suppose for a Holiday Inn, it may be acceptable, but it used to be so much better."

"It was a lovely restaurant. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars all round is because it was my birthday and when we went in the restaurant was not busy but they place us in a dark area of the restaurant. In the middle by a wall which felt like we we were dumped there by the first young girl that served us. We asked to move and was asked if we have a booking. I said yes and quickly booked a table. When they checked the system only then did they open the whole back of the restaurant and put us in a decent area where it was more scenic. The restaurant never got busy so I don't understand why we were not initially offered a decent table. The food and the young lady(different) that served us now is what saved the experience and made it a lovely end to my birthday."

"As an IHG Platinum member I chose dine at the hotel restaurant however due to dairy and egg allergies I was very disappointed that the soup was labelled vegan but contained cheese. The vegan burger was labelled vegan but was not and on some menus not all the vegan logo had been crossed out next to the burger! Eventually I asked for bread as none of the vegan options were actually vegan and I was told the bread contained egg and although it was on the menu as an accompaniment for vegan dishes it was not actually vegan. This is unacceptable as anyone with allergies to dairy or eggs could suffer an alergic reaction the these foods and the Vegan."

"The customer service at this restaurant could be improved. I purchased a wrap and a drink, and shortly after paying, I noticed a sign advertising a meal deal where you could add a side of fries for only 10p if you bought a wrap and a drink. However, I was not informed about this deal when I made my purchase and was told it was too late to take advantage of it, even though I had just paid a few seconds earlier. This was a bit frustrating, especially considering the restaurant's location near Tesco. The wrap I ordered was also cold. Overall, not the end of the world, but definitely room for improvement in terms of customer service and food quality."

"I am genuinely surprised that this restaurant isn't the most popular in High Wycombe. The food is outstanding, with a wide variety of choices, the service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is enjoyable for both adults and children. While the location can be a bit tricky to find, it's a fantastic family spot to visit before or after a movie, or on your way to the Hollywood Arcade. We happened to be there during a live performance, and my preschooler had a blast. I highly recommend it!"

"First time customers with friendly staff who were very efficient. Food was delicious just a shame my first choice wasn’t available (chicken and chorizo risotto) but the gammon I had was very tasty and not in the least bit salty. If banofee pie is on a menu I will always make room for pudding and it was really good, one thing I would have liked is a fork with the spoon to help cut the biscuit base as it was solid not at all crumbly. "I often stay at this hotel but have never finished work early enough to dine in their restaurant. The dining experience was quite enjoyable, with a good selection of dishes to choose from. The restaurant itself is very clean and modern, and the staff is both friendly and professional. My only complaint is that it feels a bit pricey for a hotel restaurant. "My partner suggested this restaurant for a quick lunch on Saturday, wanting something different from fast food. I can now highly recommend this place! It is clean, has a good menu, decent service, and the food is great tasting. I had the best wrap I have had in a long time - a big spicy chicken halloumi wrap with salad, chili sauce, and garlic mayo. My partner had a halloumi wrap that she said was delicious, and my 2-year-old had a box with chicken and chips with ketchup. There is a small seating area, which is sufficient for today's customer flow but may not be enough during a busy lunchtime in the middle of the week, especially if offices in the area are back to full capacity after COVID. "pre booked a table of younger children, older children and adults including a wheelchair driver. the food was decent and the personal was happy to take care, as they had no special kinder menu, but have adapted a few of the dishes to make them smaller. I had no desserts, but those who believed that they were not as good as the main courses and probably were not made from ground up, but the staff was friendly and the main meals were delicious. beautiful burger! no disabled toilet access, although so the mozens just have to make sure that how the loo is down. they would visit again and like to eat here again."
