"second visit as eating is very nice, steaks cooked to perfection! only the complaining this time was that our head arrived when I swallowed my last mouthful of my prawn cocktail. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat all my head since I was so full because we didn't get a break in curses. Starter main eating within 45 minutes, but visiting the last only over 2 hours as service then slowed down straight up as it began to get busier! that said it was still a pleasant meal."

"We have visited Scotty's lounge on several occasions for breakfast and have always been surprised how quiet it has been when the food and service is excellent. On the basis of previous visits we decided to book an evening meal last Thursday for a 60th Wedding Anniversary treat for our parents. The menu was really different to other places in Weston and incorporated a lot of seafood (which we love We also pre-booked a whole lobster to ensure it was available to one of us on the night. We arrived promptly at 6pm and were welcomed and seated by a lovely server who usually works in the sister caf on the boulevard. The atmosphere was really lovely, despite it being quiet, I can only put it down to the staff being related and all working together to make it a lovely experience for us all.The food was amazing and for starters we ordered scallops 2), pate (salmon mousse, yum) and tempura veg (very light but a huge amount for a starter!)For mains we had lobster, vegetarian pithivier (yes we did have to ask what it was steak and a beautiful seafood mix on a bed of beansprouts (I can't recall the name but I know it was a special that hadn't been tried before Every meal came with veggies and baby potatoes or salad and chips. There was a huge amount of food, so much so that I took some home to have the next day. In my seafood mix was scallops, crab, calamari, prawns and lovely mushrooms and beansprouts underneath, delicious. We all struggled to eat the amount of food so shared desserts of creme brulee and pavlova, and coffees.Everything was positive, but here are some special mentions:1) Lots (plenty) of delicious food2) We didn't feel rushed3) The staff went out of their way to help explain the menu and were polite and courteous throughout4) Nothing was too much trouble for the restaurant to do for us5) Very reasonably priced for the quality of what we ordered6) Lovely atmosphere7) Clean and warm restaurant8) So fab that we are coming back on May 17th to our favourite table Already looking forward to it"

"If you like your food fresh, local and sustainable then Angela’s is for you. Cooked to perfection and without fuss, the Ray Wing and Hake dishes we chose were beautiful. We ate at Rocksalt and were underwhelmed, but Angela’s exceeded our expectations. You can’t beat simple, fresh ingredients prepared sympathetically and served without over embellishment. We’ll definitely be back."

"I am extremely disappointed that the online information stated that this restaurant is open from 10-4 on weekdays, with no mention that it is closed in February. Despite reading some great reviews about the food, I decided to make the 60-mile round trip to Brancaster, only to be informed by a local that it is not open until the summer."

"Lovely little restaurant, with tonnes of outdoor and indoor seating outside was PACKED when we arrived so we sadly sat inside away from the sun. IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU BOOK AHEAD, PREFERABLY WITH YOUR CHOICE OF MEAL. They literally go catch what they need that evening, and it is always busy because the kitchen is only open Tuesday and Friday evenings (i think), though the bar seems to be open every night. The decor is no frills, feels almost like a US country diner. I had the lobster scampi which was delicious, others in our party had the fish (which I think was pollock). Both came in a lovely light batter, with excellent chips (better than your standard chip shop fare) and peas which I think were very lightly minted. There was barely a scrap left on any of our plates, and we went home feeling very full indeed! I was drinking Somersby cider, others had Korev lager (brewed in Cornwall), both were decent and on draft. They had plenty of other choices behind the bar too. St Martin's has come a long way since I first visited in 2007, with lots more choice of where to eat, all of it good quality though a little pricier than the mainland for obvious reasons. The people I came with (wife and in laws) visited the island a LOT in the 80s and 90s, when tourists were fewer. They somewhat miss the island as it was then, but recognise how much better it is now, for tourists and locals alike. Adam's fish chips is a key part of that, and a must visit if you can. "We had a delightful experience during our recent visit! We made reservations beforehand, but it turned out to be unnecessary—still, I prefer to plan ahead. I was thrilled to learn that Tuesdays offer half-priced bottles of all wine, and they allowed us to take home any leftovers, which was fantastic since I didn't want to finish the entire bottle. The Rascal red wine was excellent, and I can't wait to enjoy the leftovers. Since we were short on time, we only ordered entrees and drinks. I had the Truffle tortellini with steak, which was delicious, perfectly cooked, and well-seasoned. The sauce with mushrooms and asparagus was a highlight for me. My husband chose the fettuccini Alfredo with Cajun chicken and garlic bread, and he enjoyed it as well. Our server was very kind and friendly, and the restaurant was quite peaceful when we arrived but began to fill up as we were leaving. Overall, it was a lovely experience!"

"the restaurant said that they did not have our open table reservation, although they had my confirmation email that we had booked for 8 o'clock. they did not take us place until 9.20 clock instead of apologising to us and offer us another booking on another date, they then tried to push us out of the restaurant and calculate us the full price for a half meal. when I asked for a discount from the bill, because it was not our fault, they refused and gave us a shot wodka everyone. what we did not accept. the bouncer, who was originally very nice and accommodating, threatened to remove me from my friend inconsistently and learned me and my food without facial coverage, which is completely unacceptable in view of the applicable social rules and regulations. the manager was very rude and negotiated a price for the small part of the food we eat very hard. we were finally forced to take a £20 discount on a very expensive meal that we did not stop at home or eat because they were both eating about me and my friends during this confrontation. it was very bad service and management. they should inform us that it was too late to take our orders and instead offered another booking. instead they used our commands. it was a money-oriented decision that does not reflect well over the restaurant. if the bouncer had touched me or “disappeared” I would have put myself in contact with the police. Instead, I was forced to take a little rabatt to not cause a embarrassing scene in front of my friend. a very good service."

"We could only get a 1.45 sitting for our party knowing it closed at 3.30. We were Welcomed with Friendly smiles from the staff. There were 17 of us which were seated along a long table with a division in the middle, so that took...15 minutes for hello’s and to be seated. The entrees of mixed nibbles was a good start, along with crackers and our first non-alchoholic drinks mainly pints or halves of coke. Next came the duck pancakes. The duck was dry, not greasy with lovely crispy edges. Our 2nd Alcholic drink came before our mains. There was quite a nice choice for the mains. Each person had their own dish with a shared bowl of egg fried rice and noodles which was brought up to accompany the dishes. That took two hours for us to complete, which was just about time to close. It all worked out to be around £23.00 per head, so was quite reasonable although a little hurried to get out. All in all the food was nice, very reasonably priced, good value and everyone came out just nicely fed and watered. My mains was the chilli beef. It was very tasty although not a lot of beef more thinly flavoured batter, but tasted OK. No other complaints or moans from anyone else. The service was good, making sure we had the continuity and flow of food. To be honest, I would have liked a bit more time to chill out more, especially with the amount of people in our party, to enjoy a Chinese tea after or another drink. Other couples were dining at the same time and seemed to come and leave while we were there, so maybe we were a little slow. In general I have rated a 4 star which could easily been increased if I had the time to sample the whole experience."

"My wife and another couple joined me for Sunday dinner at this restaurant. The bar is well stocked and the real ales are well kept. The Abbot ale was delicious. Being from the northeastern US coast, I was eager to try the seafood, especially the lobster. I started with raw oysters on the half-shell, followed by a filet steak and lobster as my main course. The meals were enjoyed by all of us. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. The lobster tail was not as large or meaty as a North Atlantic lobster, but it was juicy and seasoned well, making it a great accompaniment to the amazing filet steak. The ambiance of the restaurant and bar is cozy and inviting, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience. Despite the high prices, we plan on returning in the future."
