"Our visit to Spice Zone was a very pleasant surprise. Whilst the venue itself is very much a 'high street' Indian with basic decor and furnishings, the quality of the food was excellent with a lovely choice of both North Indian and South Indian dishes. Surinder was an excellent host and we enjoyed chatting with him during our our visit. We will definitely return"

"Under new management. Beware of the star rating of this one it used to be good, now it isn 't. I reviewed this restaurant back in 2017. The food was nice, well made, and even though it appeared to have been 'adapted ' to the Italian palette, it was very enjoyable. We haven 't been for a couple of years, but a recent trip to Milan found me looking at the menu of Rangoli. It offers many more types of dish than before, and so we booked and gave it a go. What a disappointment! From beginning to end. There are no longer poppadums, instead, there is a dry, flatbread (like .5mm flat) which I have never experienced before in any Indian restaurant. This is served with a rather acidic mint sauce, and a sour sauce. Moving on to a starter, I ordered the Chicken Pakora one of my favourites from my past experience. Awful. It was dry the chicken, in particular, was dried out, hard to chew, and did not appear to be very good meat. Brown and mashed. I couldn 't finish it. It didn 't taste fresh. Onto the main course, A chicken madras. The sauce was very nice. The problem was there was next to no chicken in it. 4 small pieces around half a breast. What a disappointment Rangoli. And the price you charge for a portion of rice is ridiculous. This isn 't cheap, but neither is it good. A bad experience which I don 't care to repeat."

"a group of 6 of us went there on a Monday evening as there were good reviews. it is located in a next street, and the first impression was the datierte decoration. they have an extensive menu and many items are listed as vegan or can be made vegan. we had the opportunity to get in the ground floor near the beginning (which was above warm) or down (which was very cold, as there was no heating) so we chose the ground floor. the restaurant was pretty busy. they serve alcohol. on the menu is located cobra beer 1/2 pint, 1 pint and from the bottle. buy the bottle as there is much cheaper than the design beer. note that on the menu there are poppadums on two places mentioned. £1 for 1. or pay them £3,50 for two if they want something chutney with. they bring them the more expensive if they do not specify. I had punjabi samosas for the starter. they were in order, but I had better elsewhere. one of our groupings the bhel armi, but it did not happen until all others had finished their ancestors, but he said it tasted very beautiful. for the net I had the tofu massaman curry. in the round it consisted of large plates of tofu with some kartoffels in a green sauce. unfortunately my curry lukewarm was when it arrived, but it tasted ok. It was very mild and suitable for my palate. I had to order a part rice separately, and the part rice was bigger than I actually needed. my partner ordered the vegan thiali £17. we told the waiter that we were vegan when we ordered and the vegan thiali is mentioned specifically on the menu. when it arrived, it seemed to have milkrita as well as a non-vegan dessert. we asked the waiter if it was vegan and he said yes, then he reconstructed and took the dessert away to be replaced. he did not seem to be aware that the rita was not vegan. I checked with another employee who said that the rita they brought was not vegan and they would also replace it. another employee said they would replace the rita with a vegan version they did. it seemed just a waiter for most of the time to be, and he seemed to watch his time with headphones in and on his phone! overall eating was ok, the service was not so great. there are many Indian vegetarian restaurants in london and some with beautiful decoration and better eating."

"The food at this restaurant is fantastic and has a nice kick of spice to it! They offer a special menu for those with allergies, with many gluten-free options available, but they do warn about the risk of cross-contamination. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is lovely, with colorful furniture decorating the room. They also have a great deal on their menu, offering a starter, main dish, and side dish for 9.99£. The portions are generous, making this a must-visit spot for anyone who enjoys Indian cuisine."

"The Restaurant was a great find. Went there as a party of 3 for my birthday lunch treat today. The lunch menu has limited number of dishes compared to the evening one but are very well balanced. I have never seen kadhi chaval and channa jor garam on a uk restaurant menu, so well done for being so original. The restaurant is located nearest carpark 2, so best to park there. The restaurant decor has many traditional Rajisthani puppets hanging high above the restaurant entrance, nice touch. We ordered 3 starters (Street food) which we shared, they had the correct balance of sweet, hot and sour tastes, although I did compliment mine with additional tamrind, chilli and coriander sauces. We ordered different versions of the Thali. This was impressive indeed. The variety of items, presentation, flavour, temperature and amount of food served in the thali (the circular stinless steel plate) was perfection itself. Every dish had its own traditional Rajisthani unique flavour, could not fault it. Thank you Sohan for your personal courtesy you showed us, the table you had reserved for us, my birthday wishes and for having created a truely great, clean, restaurant with a memorable menu. This was amongst the very best food I have ever had, a great birthday feast. It was a true gastronomic delight for my tastebuds. The restaurant is now firmly on my agenda, a great find indeed. Recommended"

"out in birmingham for a business trip so decided to take a spit of vegan friendly restaurant visits, this was the first place on the list for us. great location, easy to find and great parking possibility. the personal was friendly, helpful and laughing (we have tried our best with speech, but to be honest, our efforts are laughing. the menu easily showed the vegan options under vegetarian meals, much to choose. my partner and I ordered two curries, two ildi (odd combination with the meal I will admit, but I always wanted to try to share them and two roti between us. the curries were the mixed herbal daal and a mais and cashew curry. the mixed veg was too spicy for my partner, but perfectly delicious for me, so that was good. the aromen were sensational, and my partner agreed, but mine was just at the top level of his tolerance. the idli were fab and the roti were fresh and not greasy. I would like to visit if I were back in the opposite!"

"I and my fiancé trusted deepali with their input to ideas for the design and taste of our engagement cake. it is very knowledgeable and very trustworthy. next to the cake design amazing, the taste was so beautiful and the texture was moist. I can't get enough of this beautiful white circle, gold airbrushed cake, and it's red with tasty interior! always remember to go to cake tasting before they order their cake, and always remember that they went for the best customer service. we could not be happier with us! thanks. dipyumkuchen x"

"Went to this restaurant as recommended by family. What a awful experience and terrible customer service first we were not allowed to sit unless we order and paid first. Than the waitress was rude and over spiced our food and then when I mentioned she the started to discuss with other customers that were seated our complaint while we were in mid of conversation with the waitress. Very rude and food was deliberately over chilli our food I have crohns and could not eat wasted £27 on absolutely disgusting behaviour and food. The waitress was not sorry nor remorseful at all the other lady which I presume was manager. when I explained to her how her staff behaved. Did not seem bothered of the attitude. Was quick to offer refund but I did not except as I wanted to show it’s not about refund more about treatment of the staff and experience she did not address the staff for gossiping about customers with other customers. My advice don’t bother wasting money at this restaurant and go somewhere better."

"I frequent different Indian restaurants for different purposes: Saravanaa Bhavan (authentic vegeterian), Dishoom (excellent chain with good quality and service), Tamarind (luxury), Brigadiers (business), Gunpowder (Hipster. Beers with friends) and of course Durbar for the past 20+ years was my 'go to ' local curry house. Unfortunately, 'Durbar ' has gone downhill very rapidly. They no longer serve alcohol (there is nothing as nice as a beer with a curry), the quality of the meat is tough, the quantity of the food is paltry, the service is non existent, the prices are sky high and the atmosphere is dire. Goodbye and RIP Durbar. Thank you for the last 20 years. It was good while it lasted."

"Don't let the appearance of the exterior deter you from trying this restaurant. Once inside, you'll find a charming atmosphere and excellent service. I appreciated being able to order items as we went along, making for a more relaxed dining experience."

"During my first visit to Comum, I found the food to be quite enjoyable, and the waitstaff were attentive without being overbearing. However, I was disappointed because we had made our reservation based on the 50% off mains offer listed on their website for January. Unfortunately, we were informed upon arrival that there were several conditions attached to this promotion, which were only communicated over the phone when making the reservation and not mentioned on the website. It was a missed opportunity for the staff to clarify these details when we arrived for our meal. While I understand that marketing can sometimes bring people in, it feels misleading when the discount isn’t honored as expected. The staff mentioned they would discuss this with management to ensure more information is available on the website, and I sincerely hope that happens."
"The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. However, I believe there should be more sauces provided with the poppadoms. For a group of four, there should ideally be four bowls—two at each end—so that everyone can easily access the sauces without having to stretch. Unfortunately, the noise level and the language used by other customers were quite inappropriate, and the waitstaff did not address the issue."
