"All four of us enjoyed our night at the Victoria Inn. Our meals were delicious, plus the Prosecco and white wine also went down very well! All employees were charming and efficient, so the service was excellent and the ambience was perfect for a Wednesday evening as we had worked the next day. I will definitely book again!"

"I popped into the Maynard for a swifty while out doing ‘the shopping’. I thought I’d treat myself to a pint after spotting a reduced bag of broccoli that looked next to as perfect a bag of broccoli as I’ve ever seen. No idea why it was reduced! I was certainly looking forward to sharing my happy story with someone. I was warmly welcomed into this homely pub by the hostess and shown to a nice table near a window. I order a lager top and set about placing my winnings on the table. I think before social distancing I might have gathered quite a crowd but unfortunately the only person who could get close enough to spot the reduced label and my bag of broccoli was the charming hostess Elle when she dropped off my drink. Needless to say she was suitably impressed, even drawing a happy face on my bill to show her delight. I will definitely be back here again next time I spot some bargain veg for a nice chat with Elle about the price of carrots. 5 stars all round."
