"The food at this restaurant is excellent and the service from the waiting staff is very friendly. However, we were seated next to a table with seven elderly individuals who did not know each other. This led to a repetitive "nice to meet you" conversation that we overheard. Furthermore, the tables were crammed together with no social distancing in place, despite the current rule of 6. One of the ladies even pulled up an additional chair, which resulted in her physically touching my partner. When I brought this to the attention of the waiting staff, they said they understood but explained that the owner was at that table so they couldn't say anything. This is very concerning and reflects poorly on the venue and its team. It is also extremely inconsiderate. I recommend that they review and take their COVID-19 measures seriously. If you want a good example to learn from, Fox Grapes up the road has it spot on."

"We visited on a Sunday morning, after reading good reviews of their brunch service. The place was busy, noisy, children screaming and crying. Maybe we ought to have expected that. Uncomfortably warm, heating was full blast on a mild day, food very average and smallish portions. Better suited to families I guess than grops of friends wanting a catch up, not a relaxing nor pleasant 40 minutes. . We ate as quickly as we could and left."

"Had tried this as a result of good reviews. Sad to say the actual experience was somewhat rather less than this. My friend, who had been there before, did agree that this was much less than previously experienced. Perhaps the 'real ' chef had over-worked on Valentine 's Day . Doubt that we will be returning, as there are other more lovely places [riverside for example] with better food options and way better parking."

"We arrived last Saturday 31/12 the 4 of us having booked a couple of days before and we're greeted with smiles all round. We each chose a different starter which were gorgeous! When it came to the main we chose to go for the chefs...recommendation which was the salmon and chicken which again I could not fault! The wine I felt was a bit expensive but id still pay for it. We also felt it was a bit too bright but again we didn't mind too much! The beer was also very nice. Lastly we chose to go for 4 brownies which were divine! Finished by the best coffees we have had for a long time! We will be coming back again for sure! We'll done guys 10/10!"
