"We had a fantastic dinner at this restaurant! We were pleasantly surprised to discover that they have live music on Fridays. As a vegan and a gluten-free guest, we had a wide variety of options to choose from. The food was delicious, the wine selection was excellent, and the overall atmosphere of the night was fantastic. We would definitely return if we lived closer."

"My friend and I shared 5 dishes between us and had a glass of wine each, the bill was £56 so is very reasonably priced overall. For me the prawns were far too expensive, £11 for four not very big prawns that were not very exciting is too much. The food was very average, the bread and anchovy butter was a waste of money. The bread was just a few bits of supermarket ciabatta with butter you could make better at home. The aubergine dish was nice, I would say the best thing we ordered. The service was below par, food was quick but there was no rapport with the waitress and she almost looked bored and annoyed to take our order. The place looks nice but is the worst tapas I have had in Manchester. I can’t say anything was horrible because it wasn’t, it was just so so average. I won’t be returning, which is a shame."

"I have visited Boteco multiple times for drinks and have never had an issue before. The food looks and smells amazing as well! It's a great spot to enjoy cocktails with friends, and they often feature a live band. However, on my most recent visit, we encountered some difficulties with special arrangements. It was my friend's birthday, and we wanted to organize something unique. I called 5 days prior to our reservation to inquire about this, and the person on the phone assured me we could arrange for the band to sing happy birthday and for a special drink for my friend. They advised me to inform the staff on the day of the booking. A few hours before our reservation, I went into the bar to discuss the drink and the name to sing with the staff. The person I spoke to was friendly and helpful, ensuring us that we would be taken care of. However, on the night of our visit, the staff seemed unaware of the arrangements. Despite it being a busy Friday night, I had to repeatedly leave the table to speak to staff and clarify the situation. Eventually, the special drink with a sparkler arrived, which made my friend happy, but the band never sang happy birthday. We still had a good time, but considering the effort we put into organizing the surprises, it could have been smoother."
