"Not impressed, food is average and there are plenty of other curry houses in Tooting that are just as good if not better. Appalling service.I booked a table for people for yesterday night, over the telephone on Thursday. We arrived (our booking was and were told by the staff to wait minutes while our tables were prepared. minutes later, we were still standing around, blocking the kitchen, probably annoying the other patrons who had come to dine (there was very little space for such a big party to stand in). We were told again, our table would be ready in minutes We were told this at At there was no table, and we therefore took the decision to leave. The staff then urged us to come back and said and that a table was ready (upstairs). They repeatedly asked us to stay. We thought, especially as it was Ramadan, we should give our brothers a chance, and re-considered and came back in. We were led upstairs, and much to our disappointment, there still was no table ready. We went all the way back downstairs and left! Again, the staff begged us to stay, but we had enough by that point and left. We resented the argument put forward by some of the staff that we had arrived late and that’s the reason the table was not ready for us. That is a completely pathetic, insulting and weak argument considering (a) we had booked the night before and (b) we were still made to wait minutes for a table, which was never ready anyway. We should thank Lahore Karahi however, as after we left your restaurant we decided to give Al-Mirage a chance. We had a lovely meal, with fantastic service, in very nice and clean surroundings. A table was set up for us in minutes and we had a very very enjoyable night. As a party we spent a fair whack of money on a feast. Thank you again, we know NEVER to come back to Lahore Karahi, and always to go to Al-Mirage or some of the other establishments"

"Was going to a show at the nearby TECA and thought this would be the ideal place for a meal with my wife, our son and his girlfriend. Arrived about 6.15 and sat at a table before 6.30. Restaurant was busy I assumed with other people going to the show. Drink orders and food orders taken at the same time as I knew we needed to be reasonably quick. Drinks arrived quickly followed shortly afterwards by the customary poppadoms with sauces. Here ends the good part of the visit. The restaurant started to empty and we waited for our mains, as did the couple next to us. Just before half past, they gave up and went to pay without getting their food, which apparently was just ready so they got it to take away. We have it another 10 minutes and then we had to go. As I went to pay and explain tht we couldn’t stay any longer, I was told tht the food was ready! I explained that it was too late and that we had been waiting 45 minutes for it. The staff offered to give us it to takeaway which I agreed. Even that took another 5 minutes to get! I paid the bill and the staff gave me a small discount for my trouble, we got our food and off we went. After the show, we got home to have our long awaited dinner. Opened the bag and found that we had got our 4 mains and 2 naans but no rice! So we didn’t really get a discount, we just didn’t get all the food we ordered! The staff seemed nice but obviously weren’t used to busy nights but when the restaurant started to empty, the kitchen and staff seemed to stop. Would not return for a meal here."

"Yeesh really bad experience here last night. Our dinner location of choice turned out to have made a mistake ok no biggie. We have been meaning to come to this place and I called them to ask if they would have a table for three in ten minutes. I was assured this was no problem. Then we arrived. By 'we ', I mean myself, my mother (not elderly but not someone I would impulsively NOT offer a seat to), my wife and our newborn. When we arrived the host seemed to be completely unaware he had just gotten off the phone with me and agreed to have a table. However, no biggie there are two tables open. They are clearly reserved but he appeared to think another table was about to leave. Two things were really, really wrong with this: 1. If they are leaving so soon, then offer us one of the other two four tops that are presently open that way, should the other people arrive, they can take that table when it clears. Further, do NOT leave a woman with a newborn standing at the front of your restaurant where there is barely any space. 2. If a table is paying their bill but still has practically full wine glasses, get a f*cking clue they are NOT leaving yet. Do you even work in the restaurant industry you imbecile? It was kind of surprising just pure, unbridled idiocy. We left. Went to Gallipoli where the service and the food was spectacular. Hope this place gets their act together. My immediate thought with people that dumb is, I 'm not ever going to sit down in their restaurant and place my time and trust in their hands."
