"RuppaC Reading, United Kingdom 147 Pending review amazing food and experience We came from Reading for a short break to Cheltenham. The staff firstly helped and guided us with the parking which is just across the road. The owner was very friendly and obliging. He discussed the menu and suggested which dishes we may like. We didnt have to wait long for our first course. The meal arrived and as we had taken an interest in two dishes the Chef sent us a portion of both dishes as our starter. It was well presented and was piping hot . The Chicken Chaat was amazing and so delicious. The main course was Bhuna lamb. It was beautifully tender and tasty with just the right amount of spices and chillies. The naan bread was soft and the meal was just first class. Our deepest thanks goes to the chef Ripon who made these amazing dishes. He also sent us a lentil dish as a complimentary dish and once again this was so tasty. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and Shahan the owner was so humble as we praised him for the meal. We will definitely visit this place again as one who knows how to cook asian food I have to say the meal was outstanding. Thank you all."

"menu was been delivered by post, so thought to give it a go, food was delivered on time and all the dishes was horrible, the most disappointing was the papadum and they was so oily and gristly it had seeped through the white paper bags, and there were dips missing, no dips was served, shockingly bad, and even all of the papadums taste as they was cooked a week before, as a starter we ordered onion bhaji, they was under cooked, can still taste raw flour inside onion bhaji, absolutely disgusting again, and both the chicken tikka masala taste amazing but only the sauce, meat was under cooked, such a shame, and finally which was more disappointing all the rice was cold, not even warm, need to heat up in microwave, rubbish food,We will never order from this Indian again especially as there are so many better ones in the Sevenoaks area. Do not order unless you want rubbish food!!!!!! It would have been better, ordering from some where else."

"We had our evening meal at Filey Curry House whilst we were staying in the area last week and we weren't disappointed. It was by far the best curry we have ever had (we normally Indian dine approx every 2 weeks). "I've can't remember tasting such delicious, fresh and wonderfully spiced food. As another review on here says, I honestly can't wait to go back. The service is friendly and relaxed, we stayed chatting for a while after finishing our meal and were not hurried out. I went with 2 friends and we all ordered a vegetarian curry although we are not all vegetarian. We chose a coconut flavoured curry, coconut rice, pilau rice, tomato and black bean curry, and an aubergine based curry. I wanted to know the ingredients and made a note of the Indian names of the curries although not listing here. We all commented on the exceptional quality."

"out in birmingham for a business trip so decided to take a spit of vegan friendly restaurant visits, this was the first place on the list for us. great location, easy to find and great parking possibility. the personal was friendly, helpful and laughing (we have tried our best with speech, but to be honest, our efforts are laughing. the menu easily showed the vegan options under vegetarian meals, much to choose. my partner and I ordered two curries, two ildi (odd combination with the meal I will admit, but I always wanted to try to share them and two roti between us. the curries were the mixed herbal daal and a mais and cashew curry. the mixed veg was too spicy for my partner, but perfectly delicious for me, so that was good. the aromen were sensational, and my partner agreed, but mine was just at the top level of his tolerance. the idli were fab and the roti were fresh and not greasy. I would like to visit if I were back in the opposite!"

"We were greeted by a mild member of staff and shown our table, noticing the restaurant had an aging, worn, tired feel to it, regardless of the Valentine decorations. The service felt a bit disorderly, although the staff were pleasant and very helpful. The starters were lovely, very tasty, however the mains and sides were less impressive, as was the chutney choice that went with pappadums. Unfortunately and sadly, with the amount of good/excellent eatery choices in Liverpool, I would not recommend or return to Mayur, unless they modernised their menu, ambience and quality of food for the price you pay."

"I arranged a work get together for 6 and arrived at 12:30 on a Saturday afternoon. Apart from one couple there were no other diners for lunch. We were impressed by the decor and the food was good, served promptly and reasonably priced. All good up to now. At 13:40 the table was cleared and the waiter said “Do you want anything else because we shut at 14:00” OMG! How to spoil what was an enjoyable lunch."

"We originally travelled to Swansea for a gig but was cancelled, so we booked the Rasoi as a last minute thing, I hadn't heard of it before, but was really pleased we did. The minute we walked in we were welcomed by the staff and they were very friendly. The atmosphere and restaurant was great, the Christmas tree was up and looked very festive. The food was amazing. "A great place to meet up for a delicious meal and actually enjoy a conversation with friends in a quiet venue, no struggling to hear over so much noise such a bonus. The restaurant has a good selection of dishes and all those that we tried were very tasty. We all eat Indian cuisine a lot, and this was one of the best. We were able to sit and have a long relaxed meal and great chat, without any hassle to leave. We were there from 7.30 until 10.30 on a Thursday evening. The service was excellent. There was a mix up on one dish order, which was immediately replaced without any question nice, professional service. Overall our bill came to about £20 each, including starters, a good selection of main dishes, drinks and coffees a very reasonable price for good quality food and service and 3 hours. I would definitely choose this venue again and recommend it to others."

"Came here once for a work meal, having heard that it would be good for a mix of vegan/veggie/meat-eaters. The vegan options were all listed so in the menu (a paneer dish is incorrectly marked vegan though, I've seen the restaurant acknowledge this on Facebook as a typo). We had starters and mains, and everything was really delicious. I love Indian cuisine but haven't eaten it out much since being vegan because of being unsure about what would be suitable. The awesome food (plus nice service from the staff), coupled with the food being labelled vegan helped make this a really great night and experience!"

"This has got to be the worst sizzler I have ever had! I ordered a delivery and there was burnt dried up lamb chop, some dried up chicken pieces and a prawn shell in crumbs which I'm presuming was the prawn! The keema naan was dripping in grease , it looked like it had been deep fried.. "This Indian and Nepalese restaurant located in the heart of Woking is fantastic. The interior is beautifully decorated and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They offer a wide variety of Indian and Nepalese dishes, but I was especially impressed by their lamb biryani. They also offer takeout options. Definitely worth a visit."
