"When we arrived at the restaurant, the staff greeted us warmly and seated our group of 11 immediately. When one of our party members wasn't happy with our table, the staff quickly found us a new one without any issues. Our orders for food and drinks were taken promptly and our wait for the food wasn't long. Even though the restaurant was busy, our meals came out quickly and were hot. Everyone loved their meals as they were delicious. We were there for an Elvis night event and the atmosphere was lively and energetic, but the staff remained friendly and hardworking all evening."

"My family and I went to the Woolpack over the weekend for a birthday meal. We decided to go there after it was recommended by friends. On arrival we were seated and told that the ladies toilet was out of order and we had to use the mens. The bar staff advised that we ask a male member of the family to enter in first to check that the cost was clear before females went in . This should have been a red flag and having seen the state of the toilet we should have left at that point, but we had already ordered food at that point. This is the only toilet at least make already its clean!! To be fair the food was OK but we were sat next to a table of lads on a night out who were loud and rowdy so didn 't really get to taste the food as all we wanted to do was leave. I did explain to the staff that they should have considered where they seat customers but at this point we were at the end of the meal. All in all a not so pleasant experience. Will not be returning."

"(Delivery) Considering the high rating on Tripadvisor and the reviews of the place we were ready to give Kali Mirchi a go. After quotes of Best Indian and So much flavour being thrown around, we were anticipating a much needed curry. After placing the order and being told it would be 40 minutes, we waited an hour before we called to be told it had just left and would be with us any minute. It came to £19.20 so I gave the driver £20 and was told he had no change! Biting my lip to the sofa we dug in to our starters. The Onion Bhajis were more gram flour than onion and for such a cheap dish to make was surprising. I could taste the old oil which isn 't always a bad thing if it wasn 't for there being too much flour to soak it up. Oily onion bhajis seen to, mains were a go. I love my naan bread and wasn 't all that impressed with the one I had infront of me, the bright red keema filling had all dropped to one side and it was very thin. The pilau rice was nice though, I think they had added a touch of saffron. The Chicken Tikka Masala was average at best and tasted alot like cheese. Not how I would expect, it was also luke warm but did have good chunks of chicken. The lamb jalfrezi was overly spiced and had more than enough green chillies but abit too much oil. Unfortunalty we didnt feel Kali Mirchi had lived up to its reputation and I am a firm believer that food should be a similar standard when delivered, if this is the standard in restaurant then I would be very disappointed to have made the journey. Summary Nothing special, average experience for a takeaway, good portions of meat, but bad balance of spice and flavour. Check your change and order well in advance!"

"I ordered a takeaway through deliveroo, and when it didn’t arrive (because the driver couldn’t find my address and “left” it somewhere else) I went to the Masti and they swiftly replaced my delivery and gave me a seat at a table and a drink whilst I waited. This was a busy Saturday night. Their food is ALWAYS delicious, and I’ve eaten in the restaurant and had take away and it’s always great quality. The manager was very polite, understanding and courteous. I will continue to use the Masti for their wonderful food: I will however order straight from them and avoid deliveroo from now on."

"I was very disappointed with the service I received last night. I picked up my Indian for a take away last night as I got home and opened my bag to feed my family it was apparent that the chicken tikka masala dish was in...fact another dish a spicy dish. I phoned up to let them no there was a mistake and very bluntly told that I didn’t order a masala an that I ordered a dish I’d never heard of before. Instead of being offered a refund Or offered an apology I was told I’d have to come back and swap it and make the 30 min round trip again which wasn’t an option again at that time of night. The situation should of been dealt with aLot more professionally seeing as I’d just spent £53 Of my hard earned money on a take away which one member of the family couldn’t eat. Needles to say I won’t be returning my custom"

"Passed by this restaurant as my son and I were staying nearby. The restaurant was quiet for a Friday night so we were seated straight away. Staff were attentive and friendly, efficient and fast. Started with Poppadoms with chutneys and they were delicious and fresh. I had the Naga lamb which was spicy as advertised but not overpowering. My son has the chicken Jalfrezi, only comment I would make is the chicken 'strips ' were not the best we 've seen maybe I 'm not used to it. We shared an onion rice and garlic naan between us which was ample. Note there is a policy that you have to order one main each. drinks (330ml Fanta) about the norm for London around £2.65 each. Food was pretty good value. Overall impressed, impeccably clean and appeared to be well run. No added service charge, so free to tip if you wish I only had a card and wasn 't given the option to add when paying. Sorry guys ! Better than average without being exc optional. Whilst I wouldn 't go out my way to revisit, it still gets a solid 4 and if I were in Canary Wharf again, which is fairly unlikely, I would happily go back"

"A heartfelt conversation with a friend is just what you need to unwind. Pair that with some Indian-inspired Chinese cuisine, and it becomes the perfect experience. At Dalchini, we started with a tangy hot and sour chicken soup and some sweet chili paneer as appetizers. These dishes complemented our girly gossip and spicy tales beautifully. Next, we enjoyed the vegetable Hakka noodles and Hunan chicken—delicious dishes that transported me back to my hometown, Kolkata, known for its amazing Chinese food. We wrapped up the day by indulging our sweet tooth with banana fritters and vanilla ice cream. It was a delightful conclusion to a wonderful day... Follow @the_tastebud_trails for more!"

"Me and my partner came here for our anniversary as we were not able to celebrate during lockdown. From the food, to the service and ambience, our anniversary was spectacular. The staff are warm, kind and friendly, and are always on hand to top up your drinks, help you with the dinner menu and have a general chit chat. We were made to feel really welcome and they were happy to answer any questions that we had. The food was incredible. I came here when they first opened and I am pleased to say that the food was even better than I had remembered. There are excellent choices for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. I had a Samosa Chaat, followed by Paneer which was incredible and my partner had chicken tikka, followed by lamb. You also get poppadoms and chutneys before you start your meal. The tomato chutney is insanely good! All in all a truly magical date night."

"I recently dined at Bombay restaurant in Stevenage, and I must say, it ranks among the best Indian food I have ever had in Britain and beyond. I ordered the lamb pasanda and shared a delicious peshwari naan with my friend who had the garlic chilli chicken. Both dishes were outstanding, some of the best food we have ever tasted. The staff was welcoming and friendly, and we were seated promptly and served in a timely manner. I cannot wait to return to Stevenage, and Bombay will be my first choice for dining again."

"Excellent meal, as always. Portions are generous and it always arrives freshly cooked. We visit this Bangladeshi restaurant quite frequently and of the view that the food is hard to beat. Until recently the restaurant didn’t hold a liquor licence and guests could take along their own alcohol, which was always a real plus for keeping the costs down. They didn’t even charge a corkage fee which was always a bit of a surprise. Our visit the other night was a shock to learn that, under a new owner, alcohol has now to be purchased from the menu (although regular guests are told they have some grace time to learn of this). In my opinion this is a mistake and will certainly impact upon our decision to attend as frequently as we did do. The absence of customers (we were the only ones in there) on what should be a busy night might support our view. Such a shame to lose this rare benefit at what is otherwise an excellent culinary experience. If it had to change, introduce a corkage fee, rather than abolish ‘bring your own alcohol’ you may live to regret it!"

"Poor customer service at this restaurant! We ordered a mild aloo balti (among other items) to say goodbye, but when the food arrived, the balti was full of cream and the potatoes were green! When I called to complain, I was told that it was my own fault for requesting the balti to be mild because the only way to make it mild is with cream. I have had mild baltis at many other restaurants and never received a dish with cream before. I asked for a replacement dish but was informed that the delivery driver had already left. There was no apology for the unsatisfactory meal and I was left without dinner, despite paying £20. Disappointing experience at this establishment."

"We arrived at the parking lot on time. I assured my partner that there was no problem as I had booked a table. However, when we arrived at the restaurant, it was completely full. The sofas were occupied, and we were told there would be a 5-minute wait."

"We went to this pretty traditional Indian restaurant with a good friend to visit London. We chose the menu for two for £27. For that price you have onion bhajis, then a chicken tika masala and chicken curry with a side of sag aloo goa. We ordered an extra portion of taka dal. The sag aloo dal and had a good taste but the curry was quite sosa and I'm not sure they were just made. The service seemed a little ropy sometimes too much, especially when one of the waiters connected to my friend as he finished his start. I had the general feeling that the waiters were more interested in ensuring the orderly development of liquidating tables of the comfort of their comensals. In general, the quality of the food does not reach the cost that ended up being 60 pounds for two with wine. There are certainly other Indian restaurants in the Notting Hill and Bayswater area as they deserve our best."

"Dinner for two at 6pm so the restaurant was a quite empty when we arrived but even as it began to fill up the staff appeared to be very attentive and at the end there was none of the common long wait for the bill. Food was well presented and tasted good. Good value for money at £45 each for two courses Nan bread poppadoms and beers. Would definitely go back"
