"RuppaC Reading, United Kingdom 147 Pending review amazing food and experience We came from Reading for a short break to Cheltenham. The staff firstly helped and guided us with the parking which is just across the road. The owner was very friendly and obliging. He discussed the menu and suggested which dishes we may like. We didnt have to wait long for our first course. The meal arrived and as we had taken an interest in two dishes the Chef sent us a portion of both dishes as our starter. It was well presented and was piping hot . The Chicken Chaat was amazing and so delicious. The main course was Bhuna lamb. It was beautifully tender and tasty with just the right amount of spices and chillies. The naan bread was soft and the meal was just first class. Our deepest thanks goes to the chef Ripon who made these amazing dishes. He also sent us a lentil dish as a complimentary dish and once again this was so tasty. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and Shahan the owner was so humble as we praised him for the meal. We will definitely visit this place again as one who knows how to cook asian food I have to say the meal was outstanding. Thank you all."

Best curry I’ve had in years. And the service was good too. Highly recommend this place. It’s special, affordable, and delicious.

quality Indian restaurant. cozy environment, not quite her cliché-flax wallpaper, but not modern and minimalist. many decisions, all good quality.

Quality Indian restaurant. Cosy surroundings, not quite your cliched flock wallpaper, but not modern and minimalistic. Plenty of choices, all good quality. View menu

excellent and rather posh curry house, service was attentive, but not overlaid, presentation and food quality excellent, something on the mild side, adventurous when ordering.

this place has very good food and good service. an always crowded favorite on the bath road in cheltenham, this place does as much as in the home business. the curries are wonderful, the papadums perfect, and the sauces excellent.

Had a great time with my partner at the restaurant. They helped me get the wheelchair into the place and we enjoyed fine food. If you want reasonably priced indian food in a lovely restaurant you can't do any better. Dada and staff were excellent . View menu

Excellent takeaway once again. I am lucky enough to be able to collect and their takeaway prices are very reasonable considering how high quality the food is here. I went in at 7:30 on a Friday night and the restaurant was full. My go to place once again after years of trying different places I am back here for the foreseeable. Really is top quality South Indian and your classics menu. Great full size Naans too.

I ate in several Indian restaurants while I traveled across southern England last week, and this place was the very best of all of them. The dishes my partner and I were served (saag paneer and chicken biryani) were all familiar, but elevated above anything else we have ever had. The flavors were all very pronounced and everything tasted fresh, as if the person making the food really knew their stuff and wasn't cutting any corners. Excellent service and atmosphere. I will always remember my dinner at Indian Brasserie!

"The story: Two weeks prior, peeking through the restaurant window, I was intrigued to see the kitchen artizans hard at work creating sushi platters that looked vibrant but also elegant. On the 14th November at lunchtime, I was looking forward to trying Kibou as Japanese cuisine is one of my favourites. It's very hard to see the same level of unique variety that Kibou has compared to the few Japanese restaurants I am local to. We wanted to try an array of items and the mini seasonal menu had just been released in time for our visit as well. The food: The Jo Moriawase and New Style Sashimi were great introductions to the first impressions of the quality and range of the dishes available as they were the assortment dishes. Our server provided us with guidance on what we should try first on the Jo Moriawase in order to prevent ending up with eating soggy nori which we appreciated. The Black Cod Nigiri is nothing I have ever tried before so this was also an interesting experience for our tastebuds. My dad has a tough palate to appease but to my surprise, he was satisfied with the Spider Roll Temaki and Chashu Ramen (he thought the pork broth could have been less strong but nonetheless still enjoyed, not like the artificial flavourings you get in an instant ramen if you know what I mean). The Chirashizushi was great for me as I love my sashimi. I didn't realise the yellow portions were actually tamago/egg roll until I tasted it. Some sort of gastronomical wizardry? My mum really lavished the Yaki Udon textures, with the udon noodles having the right amount of nudge needed to chew and biting into the nice crispy outer layer of the tofu. My only regret is not having enough room to try the desserts. Overall, a unique adventure for the tastebuds! The price: If you are extremely budget conscious, perhaps I would not be able to recommend Kibou to you. For a family of three, we were about £40-50 per person. As of my visit, the service charge is 10%. Don't get me wrong though, I think the service charge is fair and reasonable because our experience with the staff we talked to and came by our table were lovely. The atmosphere: Family-friendly but also evening bar feel. Sakura Cherry Blossom and other Japanese-related art themes run throughout the restaurant. The service: We didn't have to wait very long to be seated or served. The waiting staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. The kitchen staff did an amazing job with the food. Would I come again?: Yes, as a treat! Plus I want to try the dessert next time! :"
