"I recently visited Frankie & Benny’s for the first time while searching for a place that offers both vegan and meat options. Dinner was excellent, and we both really enjoyed it. I had the vegan tortellini, which was delicious. However, I had to deduct a star for breakfast the following morning. We ordered both vegan and meat options, and the experience was quite disappointing for me. I received a piece of burnt toast, some unappetizing tofu, and avocado that had a bitter aftertaste, along with guacamole that I didn’t like. After having tried several vegan breakfasts over the weekend, this was by far my least favorite. I would definitely return to Frankie & Benny’s for dinner, but I’m hesitant about breakfast."

"We had an outstanding dining experience with excellent food and exceptional service. The staff's drink recommendations were fantastic and truly exceeded our expectations. The new vegan menu was perfect for my lactose intolerant friend, and I even enjoyed some of the dishes myself! The Oreo freakshake was devilishly good, and the chicken Parmigiana plant was enormous. Scott and his team provided us with a wonderful evening, and we will definitely be back!"

"Came here for lunch before children returned back to school. We were seated straight away and greeted by our server Rowan our drinks and food order were wanted promptly. Have to give a special shout out to Server Lily who remembered our daughter from our last visit always so happy and friendly. Our food did not take long to arrive and all our meals were hot and very tasty. Our daughter gave everyone a big goodbye farewell on leaving."

"We walked in as a family of 7 on a Sunday evening after having seen a film at the nearby cinema. We were shown to a table right away, a round one which made chatting easy. Our waiter James was a very pleasant young man and was extremely patient with us all whilst we chose from the varied menu, especially with the youngsters in our party. Drinks arrived promptly, followed by all our dishes arriving together; good staff coordination. "visited here for dinner (in the afternoon) on our shopping tour with our 3 children. menu for the lunchtime that was good and still a decent selection. the children's dishes are good and all 3 young have enjoyed their meal. it's a shame that you can't get 2x sides, although some of the meals are quite small. I chose the halloumi wrap I really regretted that I love halloumi, but there was so much salat and avocado that I could not even taste the halloumi in it, very disappointing. my man had the bbq bark pack he said was really nice. I thought the options were pretty cumbersome if they don't want chocolate or not. Too bad they don't have a strawberry or eton chaos sunflower. I tried the cream egg cookie dough at the end and it was very rich, in any case must come with ice. our waitress was nice, very fast. it's a good box stop for lunch, but I'd definitely get something else when we go back."

"We haven’t been to a Frankie Bennys for years but called in on a random wet Sunday for lunch. No booking but we’re seated straight away, drinks order taken immediately brought over before we’d even gotten our coats off. We shared the starter for 2 which was really good, probably the highlight of the visit. The mains were quick to follow were really tasty filling. Would have loved a dessert but were too full, will do next time though. The drinks were refreshed during our visit, the staff were polite prompt. Looking forward to coming again! Dietary restrictions: They have an extensive gluten free menu on the back of the normal menu. It’s so nice to not have to ask for one specifically the options choices are plentiful. Would definitely bring our celiac family members here as it would give them the chance to feel included as so many other restaurant chains make them feel uncomfortable for their dietary requirements. "This was our first and last visit to the restaurant. My wife and I ordered steak that would have required a chainsaw to cut through. Our two daughters ordered meatballs but were instead served spaghetti bolognese. To their credit, they didn’t mind and accepted the mix-up. The waitress was polite and apologized about the steaks, but unfortunately, our experience wasn't great. One steak was so tough that it was like chewing on an old boot. We decided against dessert, not wanting to waste any more money. The only redeeming feature of our meal was the Stella Artois, which was perfectly chilled. We came to Birmingham after visiting Cadbury World in North Wales for a birthday treat, hoping to finish our day at a nice restaurant. Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations."

"Had recently seen posts on Facebook regarding this restaurant having new management and thought we'd pop in pre-film. Visited on Saturday night (7th May) with my family, booked a table well in advance, were greeted very nicely upon entry which always makes things a lot nicer. Upon seating we noticed that something wasn't quite right, the restaurant was pretty much full, the most full we've seen it in a long while to be honest, partway through us ordering our drinks the manager went into the kitchen we assumed to speak with his kitchen team, he didn't come back out through the duration of our meal. We could see the cooks trying their hardest and we knew that the wait on our food would be a while. Me and my daughter watched the cooks and observed the team, working in hospitality myself I am more aware, filling in for one another. The place where the manager was somebody had replaced, another manager was speaking to tables. In summary, we waited long, but we knew about it in advance, the food was good when it eventually came, the manager did come around towards the end of our meal and spoke to us at length regarding the issue that had led to the events and his honesty was refreshing, the team were obviously strained however there were still smiles, sounds of laughter, overall the service was great, food was good, communication was brilliant. The only negative was an older couple at the entrance being extremely rude when told they couldn't be seated, which the female manager dealt with very well may I add. Will return for sure. Well done!"

"I had confirmed my booking with Burton Restaurant on my phone, but it did not go through. Although I had not reserved the preferred table, they were able to accommodate us. It would have been a disaster if it was busy as we were there to celebrate my husband's birthday with 7 family members. It was not a budget-friendly option, and I was quite disappointed with the situation."

"Five star worthy experience this afternoon. First time here and have to say the place is really cool. I appreciate it when popular eateries dedicate a page on their menu to unmistakable certified vegan options. The options are plenitude as well. Great restaurant choice for a warm vegan pizza and a classic milkshake in a retro glass- loved this so much. Decor is so cosy and also retro- warm dim lighting, comfy booths. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their lunch. The two chefs on the weekday lunch shift today (one male, one female were very quick at servicing the food orders and seemed like they enjoy their profession- I hope the company treats them well as they deserve the recognition. To be blunt for a second, I appreciate that the chefs here wear hair caps as I have seen too many places in which chefs do not? My waiter had a good personality, acknowledged my wish to eat from the vegan menu. She had a relaxed vibe about her. I think she (Nicole makes the Exeter branch special. I came alone but I imagine it would be a fantastic place to bring a loved one and share a meal together : Must say one last time the interior design is bang on- even in the toilets! Fun change of music as well- not typical commercialised tunes. The likes of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Barbara Acklin and lesser known ones like Freddie the Dreamers. What a joy!"

"great dinner here tonight. I find sometimes that the service at frankie and benny can generally be met and missed, but tonight I couldn't blame him. we were supervised by a series of servers and all of them were so friendly and polite. great value for money, as we had a good idea about the app. I thought I was only able to use 1 credit card for 2 free starters, but the waitress knew I had ordered a glass prosecco, and recommended that I could use this credit card too. excellent value for money in the children's menu."

"My partner and I visited Frankie and Benny’s, The Derwen Designer Outlet Village, Bridgend for lunch during a shopping trip. We were greeted promptly and shown to a table but we asked if we could be sat near a window which was fine. We ordered drinks my partner had a Diet Coke and I ordered a glass of Peroni which didn’t look or taste like Peroni? My partner had lasagne which was satisfactory but lacked any real meat content and I had the hot dog with fries which I enjoyed. The food is basically pub grub at probably the going rate and filled a little hole until we could get home for tea. We wouldn’t rush back to any Frankie and Benny’s again and were disappointed on the amount of quality eateries available at the Village Outlet."

"I recently dined at this restaurant and although the portions were generous, I found it to be a bit dirty. The burgers were decent, but not as good as GBK, and the pizza and pasta were just okay, not as tasty as Cizis, etc. Ultimately, a restaurant should be judged on its food, and for that reason, I gave it a thumbs down. It's a shame because there are many things done well, just not where it really matters. The restaurant has great decor and a nice atmosphere, with a kind of American Italian vibe. It is also very family-friendly with a great children's menu. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they offer good promotions (I even ate for free on Father's Day). "My wife and I enjoyed the crushed avocado breakfast. It was delicious, and we appreciated that there wasn’t an overwhelming amount of avocado that can sometimes overpower the beautifully prepared eggs, which were relaxed and casual. One suggestion would be to improve the coffee temperature; we encountered similar issues at other places, so it may be related to the machines used for brewing. Perhaps they could ask customers if they would like their coffee hotter?"

"The adult menu also has a good variety and is generally quite tasty. We’ve dined here often enough that we’ve experienced a few less-than-stellar meals, but overall, the food is good. The service is very friendly, provided by staff members who have been there for a while, which is uncommon for chain restaurants. There is plenty of parking available, and it's conveniently located right next to the cinema. It's a perfect spot for birthday celebrations too!"

"bad, nasty unsafe.! a group of four went for a meal, three where served their meals after a reasonable wait, the fourth meal came to five minutest after (not a good start) after reviewing the meal that it contained pasta not great when I ordered lamb and maische?! the waitress took away the meal, no policy given in this phase, ten minutes later a further meal was delivered (after most of the table was finished) after checking the meat it was still frozen in the middle. not happy, after the return of the meal to our waitress we asked to see the manager who came to the table, their first cake 'so what?! what do you think?! I wasn't happy with the pathetic excuses, the following ' mistakes happen his not a big thing, a just enough two is not acceptable. especially not happy, as I said, we had to pay for our meals. big mistake. neeedless to say, will be a formal complain! bad eating bad service what a waste of time and money"

"The experience was terrible. I booked a table in advance, but the manager said she had no record of my reservation and asked us to pay the higher price instead. When I mentioned the mistake, she said it was a system error. We were seated at a dirty table and waited 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. I had to ask three different staff members for drinks. The service was horrendously slow, and we ended up having to hurry through our meal because we were running late for a movie."

"Waiting staff were brilliant and couldn’t have been more apologetic. However they are fighting a losing battle as ‘just eat’ is obviously king as the kitchen NEVER Stopped the entire 2 1/2 hours we were there. The customers IN the restaurant were waiting an age for food and drinks but you can’t fault the staff the company wants revenue and they certainly had a big take away trade. That’s great until walk in customers get peed off waiting and don’t go there but to the other outlets nearby. The staff get the brunt of the Instore customers waiting 50 mins for a pizza really is shocking.when it came one was excellent the other average we only got ours as we complained. The manageress was excellent and couldn’t have been more apologetic but she needs a separate kitchen for takeaway orders or if it carries on the place will shut anyway! Great staff shame as they won’t get tips as everyone’s naffed off!!"
