"This place is very nice with excellent food and delicatessen but the girl serving hasn’t got a clue on what she is selling, as matter of fact I asked about an Italian cheese that she had right under her nose but she told me that they didn’t have it in store. Also she sliced mortadella half inches very good focaccia although extremely greasy. I will go back though Service: Dine in"

"We had a table for eight for Sunday lunch and decided to go with the set menu, which offered great value at £20 for three courses. There were four options for each course: starters, mains, and desserts. We started with calamari, spicy meatballs, and halloumi. For our main course, everyone chose the sirloin of beef, which was cooked to perfection (medium rare) and came with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, vegetables, and gravy. For dessert, we enjoyed a variety of options including chocolate brownie, Baileys crème brûlée, tiramisu, and panna cotta. The portion sizes were generous, and the drinks were reasonably priced. The restaurant was quite quiet, with only two other tables occupied, but it still had a pleasant atmosphere. The service was outstanding, with very friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this place!"

"Absolutely fantastic! We came for the curry evening which is held every Tuesday. £12 for a curry, rice or naan and drink (soft drink, wine or beer). It’s amazingly good value for money and we really enjoyed the food. Particular highlights were the lamb saag, lamb vindaloo, chicken bhuna and chicken korma. The soft buttered naans were amazing too and seemed like they had come straight out of a tandoor. Just fantastic! Kapilla who served us is lovely and one of the sweetest, hardworking ladies you’ll ever meet. Thank you to Kapilla and all of the team for a lovely evening, we will be back for sure"

"I already wanted to go one after katsouri deli, I went one past the window and a huge sausage caught me the eye. Since then, I knew I liked this particular delicate thing. too midday in the week this place is absolutely heaving. the employees are super efficient, they must be! that was not long. there is a series of options for lunch and an breakfast menu that contains an excellent full English. I had not made the full English, but his whole day available, so I took some care while I was on my delicious lunch, it looks like a hearty affair. "I know, that the owners of this place don’t fancy any review which does not say how perfect everything is. And I know they will fight back writing nasty things. But I think if they could listen a bit they could get a point of growth from the feedback. We are regulars at their other branch – Little Georgia Islington and this is an amazing place with lovely hospitality and warm hearted people. I felt in love with the culture amazing people of Georgia share and the owners also made picture perfect and very cosy picture of this same culture on Instagram. In reality it is very different and although they have same name these restaurant are completely on the opposite ends of the spectrum. I felt ashamed, as I brought a friend from Georgia there, we had a company of 9. Food was very average. To be fair – chachapuris, knhinkali and some mezes were good, but lobio and badrijnis were blant. We specifically asked, if they do Mtsvadi my friends who have been here warned me, that it is definitely not mtsvadi on the charcoal, but some strange dish). But I asked the waiter if this was the real thing and he told all of us that this is real Mtsvadi. I have tried it and it was awful oven baked pork with mayonnaise!!!??? My Lord. This was a pure lie straight in our faces. Besides staff was arrogant, uninterested and rude. Some members of staff clearly miss proper hospitality training taking away plates from your nose and when your turn the food is gone and acting like big bosses of the place who just tolerate you. Despite the fact that on the website it says that the companies over 8 people can stay for 2.5 hours not regular 2 hours) we were unapologetically told to pay and leave, as the waiter said “there is other reservation of 8 is about to come in 10 minutes and this is their rule” so the info on the website is contradictory). 10 minutes prior to that he sold us 4th bottle of wine. No sorry, no empathy just money! I forgot something in the premises and return after we left approx 30 minutes later). The table only had 6 people, not 8. So another lie potentially. Our Gerogian friend was pretty shocked and said he is ashamed of this. Our bill was over 600, we paid over 60 in tips I regret this a lot. If they would have treated people nicely I would have not written this review. But the lie in the face clients are not stupid), mediocre food and very poor service made me want to warn others."

"Today I went to @georgesfishbar In #southwoodford which isn’t just your usual fish and chip bar, they also serve the yummiest Greek Cypriot food too George’s was established in 2006 has since won so many different awards for their food- which you can view on their website. On arrival I was greeted by the owner himself George who made me feel so welcome. The shop was very busy with queues out of the door but After trying their food I could sure see why ! Tonight I had their chicken Gyros, Chips, Halloumi, Greek Salad, Cod, my parents had a chicken souvlakia each. All of the food was just so delicious !! The gyros was the best I’ve ever had. The meat was ever so fresh and tender and the actual gyros in pitta was bursting with so much flavour. The chips were the best I’ve ever had too and my parents also agreed. They had a gorgeous sweet taste to them and were cooked to pure perfection and trust me it’s definitely possible to mess chips up. The chips were also lovely thick just how I love them to be. The chicken souvlakia was also gorgeous the chicken was very tender there was plenty of it as was there plenty of salad. The fish was also delicious extremely meaty and more fish than batter which is what I love as usually most fish bars tend to give you mainly batter and hardly any fish!! All of @georgesfishbar food is 10/10 from me and extremely high quality as well as huge portions. You can definitely see how much love and effort goes into their food that all of the ingredients used are of the highest quality. The fish bar itself is also spotlessly clean and covid safe. I definitely recommend everyone to try @georgesfishbar whether it’s for just fish and chips or Greek Cypriot food or both. You won’t be disappointed ! @georgesfishbar is currently undergoing Renovation but will be open fully very soon when restaurants are allowed to reopen for seating inside. For now @georgesfishbar deliver obviously do take away. "I’ve been to many pubs and this is one of my favourites. It is tucked away with a nice outside courtyard and classy interior. The staff are friendly and efficient; you don’t have to wait long to get your drink. There is a wide variety of beers (including guest ales), wines and spirits. "Is it worth the trip to North London to visit this place? The answer is: yes, you don't know what you're missing yet! Their food is simply delicious. Everything is cooked at the time, so even though it takes a little to come, you can tell it's hot and fresh. We were a group of 8 and mostly ordered for sharing with few dishes to have in pairs, although you can pick mains with individual portions as well. I strongly recommend the bread with cheese and egg, it's sublime!"

"I visited my elderly Mum today, she suggested going to the Derby Arms for a roast dinner as she'd eaten there recently with my sister. However they were fully booked, so I looked online and found Galu. The reviews were great and my Mum has only ever heard good things from friends and neighbours. So I called and booked for 12:45 Sunday 21st Jan 2024. We were both pleasantly surprised to see roast dinners on the menu ... Mum order lamb and I ordered beef part of their set menu. When the dinners arrived, you could see straight away that the lamb was Very Fatty (not even crispy) when my my tried eating it, it was both tough and chewy! As for the beef, this was cooked ok and edible, although I asked for the beef to be medium, but it was more well done. The waiter came over to ask if the meal was ok, I highlighted how the lamb was... the manager then came over and offered my Mum a slice of beef to compensate, bearing in mind she ordered lamb. Mum subsequently found that some of her roast potatoes were hard inside! I finished my meal, but could see Mum really didn't enjoy hers leaving a substantial amount on her plate, and having tried her lamb it really was inedible! We were then offered a full list of desserts rather than the set menu, having chocolate brownie and creme brûlée (both were gorgeous) When the bill arrived, I was hoping they would have somehow made amends, but alas no ... as Mum doesn't like to cause a fuss and it was her treat, I decided not to say anything, although the staff manager could tell we weren't happy. Having come from East Sussex for the day and regularly have great Sunday roasts in local pubs, I was hoping for something special in this restaurant, but sadly that wasn't the case. In fact it's probably one of the worst roast dinners I've had in a long time. I very much doubt we'll return ..."

"We visited the restaurant on a weekday and found it to be quite calm, which we appreciated. The service was outstanding, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. The food and cocktails were delightful as well! We're looking forward to returning on a weekend evening so we can enjoy the music and dancing too!"

"we love the kitchen and have been regular visitors for a long time. this was our place of choice to enjoy a mid festive season brunch. we chose both agitation in sourdough. the touch was deliciously smooth and creamy. my toast was burned at the edges and, although I asked for the speck to be done well, I had not expected that 2 small pieces I could hardly cut or chew for an additional ÂŁ4.50 my man ordered extra toast, butter and jam. there was no jam that was disappointed. we were recommended to apply for marmelade next time in booking. the coffee and the tee were great, the ambiente, which, despite the rain, always greeted with the usual stunning landscape view. service is always attentive."

"Such a shame. Unfortunately the service was extremely slow. Waited 35 minutes for our coffees and only 3 turned up out of the 4. When you are paying £100 for 4 breakfasts I’m afraid it should be perfect. They definitely needed more staff on duty. You cannot use the excuse “everyone has turned up at once”. They must know how many people have made reservations."
