"Great little diner, my food was great, my husband said his burger could have done with more seasoning but other than that great, prices are okay only thing is it seems a little rundown and the floor looked quite dirty (not sure if this was just the aesthetic or just not clean), i was also a little dissapointed as when i checked online before i came (i always check menues as i have food intolerances) and had previously chose what i would have and when i arrived they informed me that this menj was only available at certain times so what i origionally wanted wasnt available, I would reccomend the breakfast I ordered though which came with the tater tots,"

"31st august 2021: to go worcester city center was a joy, but when we approached the lunch hour, both my friend and I wanted a nice English breakfast with good coffee. he remembered that poppins really do well all day breakfast and finally we found it....and my friend is supposed to be from worcester. haha he could have found it faster than my favourite has shaken for some good ol correct English fry up or a large traditional English breakfast! what a delicious breakfast and poppins is a real gem. real traditional caffe as it should be and no wonder that it was really busy and full. kaan managed to find us a table near the kitchen and it was perfect. the berths of real English breakfast have paid attention to us and we could not wait to get our breakfast! and wow, it was delicious or what, yes? thanks kaan for their friendly welcome and service and the amazing English breakfast as it should be. very recommend this caffe and that is how to be a real traditional caffe! we will definitely be back when in and around worcester city center again!"

"Ordered via Uber Eats on a very stormy Folkestone evening. I decided to help out HappyCow users and order items that hadn’t been photographed for this page. Especially since I was struggling to choose between Vegan Red and Vegan Green. Also vegan green sounds healthier. And it tastes it too. Lots of green veg but the base sauce is slightly tasteless. So I did regret that decision afterwards. Vegan Meatball Marinara was nice. Vegan cheese had a slightly weird texture but was tasty and it was definitely my favourite dish of the three items I ordered. Vegan Oreo waffle was nice but I’m not really a dessert person. But I’m sure my niece will happy polish off the leftovers"

"We placed our order shortly after we arrived at the restaurant. It was quite busy, but despite the crowds, the staff were very cheerful and welcoming. The food was tasty - we enjoyed the full English breakfast and the ham and cheese toastie. The weather was beautiful, so we decided to sit outside, which was lovely. The coffee was also delicious; we are coffee lovers and were pleased with the quality here. We want to give a special shoutout to Barbara, our server, who brought our daughter a coloring book and was sweet to her throughout our meal. She was a very kind lady."

"I was a bit disappointed with my experience at this restaurant, to be honest. A friend had recommended it to me and I had high expectations. The waitress was very nice and apologetic throughout our visit, which was appreciated. However, after ordering, we waited over an hour for our food. The waitress informed us that they were short-staffed, but we had already placed our order. My order was incorrect, so I had to wait even longer while my partner started eating. When my food finally arrived, I was very disappointed. The burger was soggy and flavorless, and my partner's meal was just as bad if not worse (dry, cold, no flavor). I don't mind paying for good food, but the bill for 2 meals and 2 drinks was £40, so I expected better quality and quicker service. To make matters worse, I paid £6 for a Rice Krispie square before leaving, which seemed like an overcharge upon reflection, especially considering the lady behind the bar appeared flustered and unsure about the pricing. As shown in the picture, there definitely isn't £6 worth of Rice Krispie treats."

"I remember twenty years ago living a couple of buildings up the street from Montpelier Uncle Sam's. My favourite burger was a blue cheese but the top combo was definitely the All Star Meal Deal. Just shut up and pay the extra for a shake instead. I remember walking to the end of the street to watch the West Pier burn for half an hour and then collecting a burger before eating it sitting on my doorstep. Uncle Sam's a true Brighton institution. "Where do I start....... we went here as a family treat on a very rare day off over the kids holidays. We had booked a table that they clearly hadn’t been aware of but we were still seated immediately. So firstly we placed our order at 2 o’clock and didn’t get any food for the next 45 minutes!! Now you might think it’s because they were busy? But no, there were only 4 tables of customers and at least 4 members of staff! Now onto the most important part (FOOD . I can honestly say that this is the worst meal I’ve ever paid for. I had the veggie breakfast (not a tricky meal!! that was disgusting. I had eggs that were so overcooked that I couldn’t cut them with a knife!’ The hash browns were the opposite as they were barley cooked and covered in cooking fat (it was all inedible . So onto my wife’s meal (naked burger and salad the burger was ok (ish but did have lumps of gristle in it! The salad on the other hand was so old it had gone bone dry with carrots that had started to go black. My wife couldn’t eat any of it and left the restaurant hungry! The kids had burger and chips that were also full of stale salad. This is the first time I’ve ever left bad feedback but felt I should share this to save others wasting money. No once did any member of staff ask if the food was ok or why we hadn’t eaten any of it! We’ve been to a few similar restaurants in Watford and all of them have been a million times better than Ed’s. We will never ever eat here again "

"The restaurant was closed despite having made a reservation through OpenTable, which was confirmed. We arrived only to find the doors locked, so we had to call them. When I first spoke to the man who answered, he didn't even realize they were closed. The place seemed entirely abandoned, so we decided to go elsewhere. I understand that they may have had their reasons for being closed, but they really need to cancel reservations or at least inform their customers!"

"There are many places to choose from in Holt to have lunch, but we both thought that The Kings Head looked a great place for a bite and drink. I'm so glad we picked there as we had very tasty sandwiches, served with salad, coleslaw, and French fries. I opted for a BLT on granary, which was definitely one of the best BLTs I've ever had. Be warned that you need a good appetite as we each only managed half of our sandwiches. The portions are extremely generous. We ate in the restaurant, which has been decorated for autumn, and it looked lovely. Both the bar and table service were excellent and very friendly. As I couldn't eat my sandwich, they wrapped it up to take it out. If this was local to us, we'd definitely be regular visitors. I have no hesitation in highly recommending. To get good food and goid service is great. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit."

"We ordered 4 meals and 4 desserts 2 meals and 2 cakes to take out. They gave us the cakes to eat in before our food and then to top that off gave us our meal in the take away container to eat in! Had to ask for it to be put on a plate. Here’s the best part then she said she didn’t charge us for two meals Management needs to step in and do some basic customer service training. I used to love this place and recommend it to everyone! Definitely hesitant to do so now."

"The shop was empty around 7pm which you'd think they'd be happy for custom! The 2 girls in the shop did not seem welcoming AT All, no smiles no customer service! The seats were filthy and the menus were sticky! When seated the lady did...not tell us we would have to order at the till, and was frowning and showed attitude when asked if she would take our order. Then another lady at the back said she told us (from behind the counter out of sight) that we'd have to go to the till. No one smilled all night!! THEY PLAYED EXPLICIT MUSIC WITH SWEAR WORDS IN EVERY VERSE even though my 12 Yr old sister was dining with us! The cakes were very dry and not worth the money and for the extra payment for custard, the teaspoon amount you get is offensive!! Overall experience was ridiculously terrible, will NEVER be going there again! Don't waste your money!"

"Me and my friend got there around 1.45am on Sunday 19th of June. Have to say I want to go there for a long time. Just grabbed the chance as my friend missed his coach back home. Said that to one of the security guys at the door, when asked for ID. Anyway, I had a picture of my passport on my mobile. Then the other security guy got involved in a quite hostile manner. He asked my friend how old he was. To 'defuse ' the atmosphere, I made a joke saying I don 't go around with under age guys. The bouncer didn 't like my joke (even if I said it was a joke) and started to behave with even more hostility. He said to get off from our mobiles (my friend had the picture of his ID on his phone as well)....don 't know where he got that liberty from....he insisted he had to scan our documents and a picture was not enough. I then said that was his problem as I was showing my ID as requested.....he went on and on saying what the argument was about. Replied I was simply making my point as on their website there was nothing about showing the ID. He then added we have to pay £2.50 each for the entry. There were 2 girls behind us (showing their ID to the other security guy) and no entry fee was asked to them. I have asked to the security guy I was dealing with if the entry fee was just for us or for everyone. I asked to talk with the manager. He turned his face and ignored me....I then asked how long we could stay in, paying the entry fee (the place is open 24/7) . He smiled and said 'how much are you ready to tip? ' Well.....think I don 't need to add anything else......I would really advice the owner/manager/whoever in charge to be more attentive in choosing their security stuff. Rude people asking for bribe shamelessly is not a good business card at the door of what supposed to be a decent business."

"My husband and I booked a table here for our anniversary. Venue and atmosphere are both lovely. I stuck to the same cocktail and my husband sampled a couple. All very nice. The food however was not so great. The charcuterie board was ok but nothing special. I ordered veal which ordinarily I wouldn't but I was feeling adventurous. It smelt and tasted like roast pork which was not enjoyable, and also not how it should taste. Also a couple of the potatoes I got with it where rotten. My husband ordered the chicken which was essentially a large chicken Kiev. We both tried each others food but neither of us enjoyed it and I'm not a fussy eater. We shared a dessert which was the baked cheesecake and that was very nice. I would recommend coming here for drinks and the atmosphere. The live music was to a high standard and the staff where friendly but I definitely would not eat here again. A lot of money spent on a very disappointing meal."

"We were looking for somewhere round about Oxford Circus/Carnaby Street that would be suitable for our 9 yr old the other pubs we googled in the area were not helpful! We came across this wee restaurant down a side street and were very impressed great service, yummy fresh food. "The breakfast was brilliant, really tasty and great value. The service was really disappointed though, friendly staff but just need to sort it out a bit. We ordered 4 breakfasts and soon after 3 arrived. The fourth order was off the menu but we hadn't been told and so had to order again from scratch, and even then the order was wrong despite it being checked twice. Drinks arrived after food and seemed chaotic. A shame really as the food was really really good!"
