"The restaurant was closed despite having made a reservation through OpenTable, which was confirmed. We arrived only to find the doors locked, so we had to call them. When I first spoke to the man who answered, he didn't even realize they were closed. The place seemed entirely abandoned, so we decided to go elsewhere. I understand that they may have had their reasons for being closed, but they really need to cancel reservations or at least inform their customers!"

"The Kensington creperie, which was once renowned, was a longtime favorite of my family. The large portions were always a challenge to finish, as it was difficult to enjoy both a savory and a sweet crepe in one sitting. However, the quality of the crepes has declined, and I now prefer the taste of crepes from other establishments."

"Popped in on the off chance, having not booked and were met with a welcoming smile, as were the doggos. Had a delicious meal and can highly recommend both the sea bass with Bombay potatoes and mango salsa or the Arrancini (mozzarella wrapped in risotto rice) flippin’ gorgeous. Adnams ghost ship was lush and service was with a helpful smile. As and when in Holt, defo worth a visit we’ll be back! Service: 5 Location: 5"

"The shop was empty around 7pm which you'd think they'd be happy for custom! The 2 girls in the shop did not seem welcoming AT All, no smiles no customer service! The seats were filthy and the menus were sticky! When seated the lady did...not tell us we would have to order at the till, and was frowning and showed attitude when asked if she would take our order. Then another lady at the back said she told us (from behind the counter out of sight) that we'd have to go to the till. No one smilled all night!! THEY PLAYED EXPLICIT MUSIC WITH SWEAR WORDS IN EVERY VERSE even though my 12 Yr old sister was dining with us! The cakes were very dry and not worth the money and for the extra payment for custard, the teaspoon amount you get is offensive!! Overall experience was ridiculously terrible, will NEVER be going there again! Don't waste your money!"

"Me and my friend got there around 1.45am on Sunday 19th of June. Have to say I want to go there for a long time. Just grabbed the chance as my friend missed his coach back home. Said that to one of the security guys at the door, when asked for ID. Anyway, I had a picture of my passport on my mobile. Then the other security guy got involved in a quite hostile manner. He asked my friend how old he was. To 'defuse ' the atmosphere, I made a joke saying I don 't go around with under age guys. The bouncer didn 't like my joke (even if I said it was a joke) and started to behave with even more hostility. He said to get off from our mobiles (my friend had the picture of his ID on his phone as well)....don 't know where he got that liberty from....he insisted he had to scan our documents and a picture was not enough. I then said that was his problem as I was showing my ID as requested.....he went on and on saying what the argument was about. Replied I was simply making my point as on their website there was nothing about showing the ID. He then added we have to pay £2.50 each for the entry. There were 2 girls behind us (showing their ID to the other security guy) and no entry fee was asked to them. I have asked to the security guy I was dealing with if the entry fee was just for us or for everyone. I asked to talk with the manager. He turned his face and ignored me....I then asked how long we could stay in, paying the entry fee (the place is open 24/7) . He smiled and said 'how much are you ready to tip? ' Well.....think I don 't need to add anything else......I would really advice the owner/manager/whoever in charge to be more attentive in choosing their security stuff. Rude people asking for bribe shamelessly is not a good business card at the door of what supposed to be a decent business."

"The breakfast was brilliant, really tasty and great value. The service was really disappointed though, friendly staff but just need to sort it out a bit. We ordered 4 breakfasts and soon after 3 arrived. The fourth order was off the menu but we hadn't been told and so had to order again from scratch, and even then the order was wrong despite it being checked twice. Drinks arrived after food and seemed chaotic. A shame really as the food was really really good!"

"Oh how we love this adorable little place. We have been several times now and always enjoy AMAZING cocktails, and delicious food. The service is always on point! Tonight we ordered the Bruschetta and eggplant appetisers which were delicious. Our main course we ordered mussels and the Pappardelle al Ragu pasta dish- all were delicious! As starting drinks we had the house made manhattan and the strawberry refresher drink. As desert we pre ordered the Taramasu for my husbands birthday. Great little place with an adorable hidden entrance, would highly recommend a visit- make sure to make a reservation well in advance, but totally worth the wait!"

"Visited here before moving off to see a pantomine, we had soup which was really good, had a steak which was a little rarer than we had asked for, but my daughter didn't want to make a fuss, I'm sure had we asked they would have cooked it more, although when asking for well done you wouldn't really want it with blood in it when you cut it, my only other issue is when they served fries they automatically supply a pot of mixed plain and sweet potato fries, not good if you hate sweet potato chips, but knowing that now will make me ask for just plain chips only when we visit again!!!! Service was good, catered well for the kids, supplied crayons to allow them to colour in the menus. Didn't have deserts as the starter and main meals were well enough, it was quiet when we went, but hopefully the service will be as good when busier.."

"I had my lunch which was Indonesian Satay with beef and Oolong tea. The food was excellent, exactly original Indonesian taste brought in a big portion together with a bowl of steam rice and a very fresh and tasty salad. Prices rather small according to the quality and quantityof food and great service 10+for the Chef. The server , Julia was extremely kind, helpful, professional, smiling all the time. 10+ Inside is a nice music , not very loud, but exactly how it should be in a small cozy Asian food place. Very peaceful and relaxing. However, it was the first time when I came to eat in this place. I walked inside, but I walked outside immediately to check the Korean pub on the opposite side of the road. Why? Because Pan Pan it doesn't look so great decorated from outside and I didn't trust it so much. I ve lived in Thailand and traveled in whole indochina for 20 years. I wanted an authentic taste of Asian food. So, I came back 3 min later because the other Korean pub was closed, so I didn't have a choice. And I didn't regret any second ! I felt absolutely great in Pan Pan! I recommend from whole my heart I ll come back at Pan Pan for sure. Pan Pan is not only a fake advertising, but for sure The real taste of Asian Far East . "We visited the Heathfield Tavern on spec to try it for lunch and what a very good idea it was! We were greeted by cheerful and friendly staff whose waiting skills were first class, chef was available to chat through a hatch into the kitchen and the tables were well spaced. The food was absolutely delicious, the best fish and chips I’ve ever had and my husband gave his sea bass 10/10. On top of that the prices compared very favourably with other lesser establishments in the area. This lovely pub restaurant is going to become a favourite destination."

"I can't comment on the food as I just popped and had a coffee. The staff are so friendly. The place caught my eye as it is a very attractive place. Quirky. Good coffee in a proper mug...I dont like small piddly cups. Reasonable price. I like to support independent traders...so I am very happy to revisit."

"As far as kebabs go, it’s nice here. The portion sizes are on the smaller side and leave you wondering value for money. It’s not the first time I’ve left disappointed with the size of the meal, I’ve ordered a large chips for over £3 hoping to share with the missus but I’ve had to stop at Maccy Ds to bulk up the order. "overall a good experience. we were happy with everything, but we had to wait for 30 minutes. it was very busy, but a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. the food was good and we didn't have to wait long as we had our order. some problems with the bill at the end of the experience. we were not aware that the prices of 11 o'clock change as they were not notified to us. but the manager gave us 20% for the inconvenience."
