"Booked online for 6 of us for a birthday meal for my son. Was met by a lady who was chewing gum (not acceptable in a restaurant front of house position) and was not particularly happy (waitress1) She said that there was a wait on food even though we had booked due to people wanting takeaways. We ordered drinks with another lady (waitress 2) who was very pleasant and she bought them to the table. She was followed by waitress 1 with the same drinks who made a point of telling us that waitress 2 had not ticked off that she had served the drinks, (in my opinion this belittling situation was very unnecessary). Even my 17 year old son said it was unfair on waitress 2. We ordered our food with waitress 2. Our food was delivered by waitress 1 and one of the dishes was incorrect. There was no apology and she said she would rectify the error, I waited for a long time for my meal, in fact, some of our group had just about finished their meal before it arrived. The meal was still missing the dressing that I had originally asked for. I was then told that they did not have the dressing that I was originally offered. Waitress 1 came over and asked if all was ok. I explained that we weren’t happy. Waitress 1 offered to take my meal off the bill. We went to the reception area to pay with waitress 3 who was lovely. She presented me with the bill which had my meal removed. Waitress 1 then came over and belittled waitress 3 saying she’d got the wrong bill for us. In fact, she had got the right copy. Waitress 3 appeared to be embarrassed by Waitress 1 behaviour. I paid and we left to have our dessert in a different place. Very disappointing for my sons birthday and we will not be going back. The restaurant was clearly understaffed and my overall opinion was poor customer service which was predominantly 1 member of staff"

"Visited on New Year’s Eve as a last minute change of plan, although it was a little busy we did wait a long time for them to take our order. Waited over half an hour to even be acknowledged and had to ask for them to take a drinks order and get a menu. Not the best service! No ice in the drinks, my beer seemed a little flat. As I said they were a little busy so just left it at that, starters arrived which were to their usual decent standard. When the mains came 1 of the party ordered a sizzler which I’m afraid to say was not sizzling, all the rest was ok. This is not my first visit to this restaurant and it’s just little things that keep just letting it down from being a good place in my opinion. The service and issues will not stop me from going again I will give them another go as the owners are really pleasant."

"Booked online last minute, no problem at all. Was on the busier side but seemed to be plenty of staff and everyone was in a good mood. Food was really nice, we normally go to pizza express and were surprised by the range of options. Only issue we ran into was the ordering via mobile rather than a person as it didn't seem to want to work but the waiter happily did it for us on his tablet. 9 year old daughter has asked that we go again when we're next somewhere with an Ask. Thanks. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free (non-gluten) pizza and pasta options available as well as vegan cheeses and gelatos. Kid-friendliness: Lots of options, our daughter loved the pasta dish and the bread sticks woth tomato dipping sauce. Wheelchair accessibility: Lift from car parking to entrance, and all flat with large doors."

"We have visited this ASK restaurant several times now and each visit has been wonderful. I arrived with a friend who eats meat, but we decided to share the vegan sides (garlic bread, side salad, and roast potatoes) and I enjoyed the spaghetti al pomodoro without mozzarella, which was delicious. We also shared the blood orange and chocolate tart. We will definitely be returning."

"Amalfi is the friendliest, most authentic Italian restaurant you’ll experience outside of Italy. We’ve been going here for a few years and the food is always amazing and the staff couldn’t be any nicer. Thanks to all the staff for all your hard work. I couldn’t recommend Amalfi any more highly."

"We visited on Saturday, the night before the marathon. We booked a table. Came in, seen it was busy, so thought this is going to be good. We were seated late which was fine, no problem. We sat next to another couple, (tables were close) we ordered some drinks then our meal. Drinks arrived on our table, weren’t ours, it was the next table. We waited an hour for our starters, tables were coming in and getting served. A table of 6/8 came in and got their starter and mains before us. There was a lot of cross words at the boy in the hair band which I thought he was doing all the work and was very kind if I am honest. Garlic bread came was so dry. They kept going by saying have you eaten? Have you ordered? Have you had mains? Our mains came out an hour later and they didn’t know who it was for. The table next to us actually had to point out it was our food they heard our order. Being a restaurant manager I would like to say… 1. Don’t argue or talk to staff badly, anywhere, but especially not on the floor, I actually think it was maybe husband and wife, it’s not good in front of customers and I know it’s hard and frustrating work, but I don’t even think any of the customers were being rude, the people I heard ask where food was were all being polite. 2. We understand it was busy and every business needs money but don’t take in more people than you should. 3. When you sneeze please do it into your arm and not your hands then don’t wash them, I genuinely couldn’t believe it, hygiene is huge, especially in catering. I’m genuinely shocked I still ate my food after the person touched my plate later on. as they didn’t go anywhere near a sink or a sanitizer. Our mains were lovely. I hope the famous athlete who was in the restaurant at the same time got his food on time and amazing service. But, I do genuinely believe on a normal busy night this restaurant would be fine, just a few tweaks needed. 2 stars lost due to my hygiene comment and how they were openly arguing with one another."

"First time coming to this restaurant and won't be the last. Place is small but very nice and clean. Staff are very good and It's a family run restaurant. atmosphere is romantic with the old school classics playing on the speaker. There is a small wait in-between courses but it's worth the wait. I ordered calamari as a starter and my wife picked brushetta, both starts are very good and very nice presented, as a mains we picked chicken breast in a creamy sauce with a potatoes and salad on the side. My wife had the fillet steak with gorgonzola. Overall very great experience. "I've never walked out of a restaurant before, and I've been to quite a few! Unfortunately, the food was terrible; there was no option for the pasta I wanted, not even the ones listed on the menu. When my meal finally arrived, it was cold, and all dishes had the same pasta with barely any sauce. I sent it back, but it came back microwaved, causing whatever sauce was there to vanish completely! We apologized to the wonderfully attentive staff, who truly tried to help, and then we decided to leave. Now, we're dining somewhere else and feeling relieved we did! Service: Dine in"

"I came into the lovely one right on Fulham road. Dare I say, the English breakfast tea at Nero’s is the best I’ve ever tasted, strong but not bitter, zesty but not sourish (completely succumbs other “luxury brands” like tea pigs and Twinings . The lady serving me poured a bit too much milk so I kindly asked her to make me another one with the consequence of having to pay for another one as I reached for my card. However, she did not stop for a moment, nor did she ask me to pay and swiftly made another one within seconds. Not only that but she poured me a generous amount of milk in a nespresso like cup for me to pour. I was impressed, full stop. Efficient, polite and professional. Wonderful. I had just come from an intensive study session from rival company Pret so was not my usual sharp self and proceeded to take out the teabag at the counter (where I would usually go to the small side one that accommodates milk, sugar, etc. . This lovely lady brought out a plate (that the eat in people have the luxury of and allowed me to place the teabag on it once I was done. It’s such a shame that I cannot remember her name to thank her individually. Anyhow, hopefully from this review, this particular branch can get full recognition and credit for their super staff and the services they provide."

"When I arrived, my reservation was not found, despite having received a confirmation. I was seated at a small table meant for two, but it was poorly arranged—one chair was placed beside the other instead of directly opposite. This made the table feel cramped and uncomfortable. I chose this restaurant because my guest is vegetarian, and I saw several appealing salads on the menu. However, many of those options were missing when we got there. Upon asking, I was informed that this was the only menu available. Although it was labeled as "express," the information on OpenTable was misleading, and it didn’t match what was offered. As a result, there was only one option for my guest. Additionally, there's just one restroom outside the restaurant, which requires queuing. It was not a pleasant situation. I felt quite unwell during our visit, although the staff were kind to me. Overall, I really did not enjoy this experience at all—it was far from what I expected!"

"We reserved a table weeks ahead, then seated 10 mins late. Waited for over an hour for very simple dishes, (longest wait time for a large shared dish on menu is stated 40mins). No apology for this long wait, steak was overcooked: asked for medium and got well done. Ordered 10oz steak, definitely was smaller than this as we compared to 5 oz steak. Finally, they added a compulsory service charge for party of 2, in reality service was terrible. DO NOT RECOMMEND, very overpriced for what it is."

"I have been going to this restaurant for years for special occasions, and it has always been fantastic. However, on my last visit for a first date, things went completely wrong. We ordered two different steak meals, each with a different cooking style and sauce. When the meals arrived, they had the wrong sauces and were cooked incorrectly. I spoke to the manager about the issue, but it led to an awkward situation. I asked for the meals to be prepared correctly, but was told that mine would then be cold. Instead of replacing the meals, we ended up accepting what we were given. This disastrous experience ruined my first date and I ended up paying over £89 for it. It was definitely not a Marc Pierre moment. Since then, I have taken my business elsewhere. It's unfortunate, as I used to really enjoy this restaurant before this incident."

"The meal was delightful. Our party of 7 had a private space on the mezzanine level. The service was exceptional, with friendly and entertaining waitstaff. We all opted for the 3-course pre-theatre menu and every dish was thoroughly enjoyed. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and generously portioned. I tried the vegetarian platter, which included butternut squash lasagne, mushroom arrincini, and gnocchi with basil pesto, and even though I am not a vegetarian, I found it to be delicious. I would definitely order it again. I highly recommend this Italian restaurant as it was the best meal I have had in a long time and great value for money."
