"We went on Mothers day which we know is a particularly time and feel that sitting down and no one coming over for 15 minutes was poor. we went and got a waiter to be asked what we wanted to order when he came over. we had no menus and no drinks. These were ordered and although took a while did not mind. We waited over a hour and a half for our food and then was told that there had been a mix up. we got the 7 meals of which all were warm not hot. We sent 3 back and they took away a steak which never came back The 3 dinners came back as they left just being put in the microwave which then made the beef not edible. We only really had 2 good dinners out the 7 and to be fair we only paid for 2. considering the restaurant was not full up the service was shocking and the quality of the dinners was really poor. Would not recommend at all ?? at the end no one even appologised, poor customer service"

"Quiet, atmospheric spot away from the crowds. The waiter was lovely and they made me a version of risotto without animal products as am a pescatarian . It was mind blowingly good. Great wine choice and my sea bass was divine. Only downside was the veal Milanese that my mum had was thick and fatty and not what she was expecting but maybe that’s just the recipe everything else was superb. Thoroughly recommend the risottos !"

"This restaurant was conveniently located right next to our hotel, making it a convenient choice for our last night in London. Our evening exceeded my expectations thanks to a recommendation to visit this cozy English pub around the corner. We enjoyed mixed green salads, small tapas-style lamb skewers, fresh bread with oil and balsamic vinegar. I paired my meal with a pale ale and finished with an Espresso Martini. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was pleasant, and our server, Jagoda (which means blueberries!), was delightful. The prices were reasonable and the tables even had real candelabras. Overall, it was a great experience and I recommend stopping by."

"we had the afternoon, which was so beautifully presented (with real strawberries on the skornen also:D and had the dog in the afternoon, who loved monty! he got whipped cream, dry cookies, wet dog food and a tennis ball. really nice ground outside with huge chess to play and explore gardens. had a really nice time"

"I've been coming to the salads after jaks for years. I was on my list to drink again and dinner. dawn was fantastic and flexible with us. we started with drinks in the cellar and gradually worked on the first floor to dinner. there is a second stage called the lounge that is a secret fund in mayfair! it is probably the next thing a private member club vibe. the personal was great! this is also a perfect place to rent very recommended for private parties! oh btw they have a sushi cook from hongkong, the sushi is probably one of the best I tried in mayfair! they have happy hour of 4 7pm would definitely come back!"

"Lovely bar and great potential. However lack of bar staff waiting over 15 minutes to order a drink this was prior to our restaurant sitting 7:30. The restaurant has no ambience at all, the food is absolutely tiny and I ordered a takeaway when I got home. The quality is ok, but the pricing is crazy. Paid £98 for two courses and two drinks. My partner wanted a cocktail, asked for menu and they didn’t have one. The waiter reeled off a small list and they explained they were available in a pitcher only who orders pitchers when going out for a romantic meal? It was very apparent the waiting staff lacked experience also, and there seemed to be nobody providing guidance experience to help them. I eat at a lot of good high quality restaurants both cheap and expensive and I don’t mind paying for quality but I do mind paying when the quality is poor and the price is massively overly inflated. Sadly, we will never return great potential. Address the restaurant look ambience, poorly trained waiting staff, price, cocktail drinks menu and you will do well im sure! We were offered 20% off the bill based upon a complaint to the waitress, which was a nice gesture. That price was more suitable but I still consider it expensive."

"This was one of several opportunities I had to dine at the Lion at Leavenheath while over from Australia visiting family. I highly recommend it for excellent food, attentive service and friendly and cosy atmosphere. I am vegan and the choice was extensive and delicious. Took several lots of friends and family over the time I was staying and they all had a great meal and loved the beautiful dining room. This is the kind of place you could have a romantic dinner, a fun lunch with friends or a formal celebratory evening. I look forward to my next visit."

"very long wait for delivery; never again. we made a delivery online on a Sunday evening, the delivery promised in 45 minutes. it was about an hour and still our delivery had not arrived, so we only ask ourselves that they had no idea if they were to supply our food, as there are no drivers available, and that they would call us if that had gone. I said the website promised delivery within 45 minutes and everything they said it takes more today. an hour later and we are waiting for our eating absolutely ridiculous! never order from here again."

"First off, the food here was lovely. However. Monkey puzzle trees turned to Whitby Jet whilst we waited for it. To say the service was slow is a misrepresentation of the truth it was painful. Even a kids knickerbocker glory took 25 minutes to arrive. We didn't order adult desserts as starters and mains took 2 hours and the kids were starting to lose it. All in probably fine with adults prepared to wait, a bit like hell if you have hungry under 10s. As with all my reviews, a mention on the loos... they were clean and lovely especially the handles! Kid-friendliness: Good kids menu, very very slow service."
