"This charming restaurant is surprisingly quiet for a Friday night in the bustling area of Edinburgh, where there are so many dining options available. The staff is friendly and provides attentive service without being overly intrusive. The wine selection is excellent, the food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic date or a gathering with friends."

"I really enjoy this quirky restaurant. Despite its unassuming exterior, it has a certain charm once you step inside. The staff were fantastic - a bit moody, cool, yet also friendly and fun with a hint of cheekiness which added to the experience. Unfortunately, my dining companion and I were the only patrons there. It was a Sunday evening, so perhaps it's not a popular night for them. I imagine Friday and Saturday nights might be busier. Nonetheless, the food was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the duck pate and the fun fondue. The potatoes and salad were also tasty. Overall, the simple yet delicious French cuisine impressed me and I look forward to returning during a busier time."

"If you want the real taste of what I call Alpine food, this is the place to go. My wife and I are thrilled skiers and came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and as we missed on a trip this year, we thought we would fill our cheeseries with a fondue. The food was exceptional, a true taste of the Alps. The staff was very friendly and even took a certain menu change. The sides that came with the melted cheesepot were excellent round. You couldn't harm the food. Just down, and it's probably more my hanging up than anything, the atmosphere felt slightly wrong. More café than restaurant. We went on Sunday noon and we were the only customers who probably didn't help. I hope only custom is good because this is a good meal to have with Mates. I would definitely come back in the future."
