"I took my kids on Valentine’s Day to make them feel special. I’ve been to Caffe Mamma’s many times before but hadn’t been for a while. This time was hit and miss for me. I ordered chicken nuggets and chips for my son, but the nuggets were tough. He struggled a little with them, saying they were tough and dry. Our starters were nice. We ordered Calamari and prawns. Both lovely. When it came to main, I usually order pasta, but rather than going for my usual choice, I went for lasagne. I regretted it the moment it arrived. It was just full of tomato sauce. The waitress who took the dish back asked me what was wrong when she saw it wasn’t even barely touched. I told her it’s just drenched in tomato sauce, I could barely find any meat and just got stringy cheese and tomato sauce. I expressed I was disappointed with the dish. They did nothing. In the end, we ordered dessert which was ok. But when I paid the bill for £80, it left me feeling disappointed. I still kept a happy face for the kids but wished I’d booked the Chinese restaurant two doors down instead. I won’t be going back to Caffe Mamma’s after this visit."

"We went out for dinner with friends at Alitalia and were very satisfied. Drinks and food were served very quickly after ordering, and both the pizza and pasta dishes as well as the meat dish were very delicious. The prices are completely reasonable considering the quality and service. We had made a reservation and were seated at a table on the edge of the large room, which made it a bit more secluded and quiet."

"Nice, warm and lovely place. Already have been in there a couple of times but never had the chance to take some pictures and to write a review. "we came in as we had a buy, get a free cream tee pass through the john Lewis Card app. After we had ordered ourselves and sat down, it took about 15 minutes until our tee was brought over us, what we thought was one, but when it was a Sunday afternoon and we reasonably understood. we thought the skorn would follow, but they didn't, in that we waited another 15/20 minutes and nothing came. our table was right next to the counter so we could see that many drinks/kissen/mice are placed on tablets and brought to other tables. we asked one of the servers if we could have the rest of our order, because he had not all come, she said (without apology offered) and checked our table number before she went back behind the counter. but nothing came back and after another 10 minutes we had enough and had to go as we needed to be elsewhere. we went and asked if we could have a refund because it was ridiculous that we would wait for over 45 minutes until a cake is placed on a plate. the dame at the time was the one who had taken our order and we asked where our food was when she passed, but she still looked out that we were angry! she went and got someone else, I guess her manager, who then told us that we could not have a refund because we used a voucher and included our ordering a free article. why that meant that we could not get a refund that I don't know, we didn't ask for the money for two things, just for those we paid. they said the best they could do was give us the objects, and within less than a minute they were piled. Amazing that it could be done so quickly, considering how long we had originally waited! I can't say if the actual cakes were good or not because we had to go somewhere else this afternoon, so they had to be left in a warm car for several hours and until we came home, the pots of the cream had to be thrown away and they had dried out."

"This Italian restaurant is fantastic! The staff is friendly and the food is cooked perfectly. I started with the delicious mussels in a white wine, tomato, and chili sauce. Then I had the Veal Parmigiana, which was absolutely delicious. The homemade Tiramisu was also fantastic. They have a good selection of reasonably priced wines. Overall, a fantastic restaurant that is definitely worth a visit."

"It 's quite difficult to weed out the 'reviews ' from the reviews these days. This is a review. I visited very early evening on a rainy Halloween without a booking. From the outside it looks pretty lively it certainly stands out from the many other Italians in Scarborough. The gentleman who greeted me didn 't flinch, tut or roll his eyes when I said I admitted I was without booking and offered me a table by the fire in the bar. He then pitched up quickly with a menu and took my drink order: Birra Moretti on tap hurrah who wouldn 't? I had come specifically for pizza and even the specials board couldn 't dissuade me. I ordered the Diavola, which came with a warning due to its chilli and N 'duja content. I was feeling adventurous. A steaming pizza duly arrived and I ate every bit. It was absolutely delicious: very thin base perfectly topped with aforesaid toppings along with pepperoni. It was hot, but not too hot (no need for a warning) and the meaty bits were good and salty. 'Reviews ' claim this is the best restaurant in Scarborough. It may be, but as I haven 't visited every restaurant in Scarborough I can 't verify that. But what I can say with honesty is that this is a lovely, cozy Italian serving perfect pizza."

"We recently hosted a 50th birthday celebration for over 30 guests at this Italian restaurant, which happens to be my husband's favorite. The staff were extremely organized and there were no errors with the meals. They did a great job preparing, cooking, and serving a 3-course meal for everyone. The food was delicious and arrived hot and fresh. The service was excellent and the staff were willing to accommodate any requests. We will definitely return to Gaetano's for special occasions in the future. The only regret we have is not taking any photos, but we highly recommend dining there yourself as you will not be disappointed. We are even considering booking a table for Christmas. Thank you to Carlo, his wife, and son for a wonderful experience. We will be back soon. As for parking, there is a car park near BBC Wiltshire Radio which is affordable after 6pm."

"My husband and I were heading to Bathgate on Friday night for a show and looking for somewhere close by to eat beforehand, after a quick google search Chenzo's appeared as an option, reading the reviews etc we went ahead and booked and we are so glad we did! The reviews certainly live up to expectations. The owner and his wife were lovely and very attentive, with the time we arrived we were the only table in the restaurant but the atmosphere was so nice that didn't bother us. The food was amazing! We really should have stopped after our starter and main but the thought of delicious homemade dessert left us no option but to try I am so glad we did! We left absolutely stuffed but it was worth it when the food tasted as good as it did authentic homemade Italian cuisine that we will definitely consider making the 40 minute trip back to Uphall for again!"

"This restaurant has recently reopened as a Caribbean restaurant. A group of five of us decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed. The staff were excellent and after being seated, the chef, Paul, came out to meet us and informed us of what he had planned for our evening. He asked who preferred chicken and who preferred lamb (2 chicken, 3 lamb). We were served 2 massive fruit platters followed by 2 baskets of bread. Then we were presented with a tasty mix of 4 delicious starters which we all enjoyed. For the mains, we were served with 2 side dishes of salad and some sweet potato fries. I opted for the lamb and it was so tender that it melted in my mouth. The presentation of all the food was stunning and we had a wonderful evening. We were so impressed that we made another reservation before leaving. The prices were also very reasonable!"

"Food trying to be Cordon Bleu but falls short of the mark. Special starter was a salmon roulade but frankly was a blob of smoked salmon and unidentifiable creamy stuff and poorly presented on the plate. I also had the special for main course sole in a sauce with sliced fried potatoes and scallops. The sole and sauce were tepid and the lack of accompanying veg made it uninteresting and certainly not worth the price tag. Decor and service quite good however."

"ring! that was the first time in the new restaurant we always loved. we had our appetizers who were beautiful when I saw that one of the chefs sniffed into his hand, someone said: "bless you", so he was heard by someone. in the kitchen, he knew his mouth with his hand and then some spaghetti out of a package without washing his hands. we told the waiter when he came to take away our ancestors, we couldn't stay for the main course after we saw that. he still wanted to charge us for the full price for the starter until I asked him to bang something for our disappointing experience, but he only knocked off the cheapest one. he said he would take the thing seriously, but if that were my restaurant, I wouldn't charge the customers if they had to leave because they witnessed such a disgusting act."

"Went a couple of times when it was pavone sud wasn't really impressed. Hadn't visited since it changed its name. Started popping in over the last few months for our tea, and have loved it!
