"My boyfriend and I used to frequent the restaurant/takeaway on Dumbarton Road, but have recently stopped going as often due to the lack of friendliness. We used to order our takeaway in the restaurant and enjoy a drink while chatting with the man taking our order. However, they now lock the restaurant and do not allow customers to wait inside or have drinks in the unlicensed takeaway. This was disappointing as we enjoyed the atmosphere and socializing while waiting for our food. Overall, the staff at Papa Gill's are not friendly and the food quality has declined. We will be going to The Ettrick in Old Kilpatrick instead, where we can enjoy great food in a warm and inviting environment.
