"Honestly the fish and chips was nice but the order was wrong twice! Ordered honey krona with pilau rice the first time the driver came he gave me the curry but no rice I got chips and cheese instead then when we phoned and told them about the mix up they sent me plain rice. By the time the rice got here my korma was cold."

"We always get takeaway from here as it’s our fave Indian round here. We went to eat in and couldn’t believe the price difference, was so much more expensive to eat in. I understand you pay for service but it was about an extra tenner. We went on a Tuesday and was disappointed they aren’t doing the 50% scheme. Food was amazing as always, just too expensive so we wouldn’t eat in again."

"The food is consistent in quality, not amazing but nothing inedible. The highlight for sure was the matka gosht, cooked well, the meat was tender and sauce flavourful, if you pay a visit then order this for sure, along with a paratha or three. We also had a tava chicken which went down well. The machle la jawab is essentially chip shop masala fish served in your standard curry house base gravy. Lassawala gosht promises a lot but definitely does not live up to the hype. Everything on the mixed grill was overcooked and dry. The chefs need to revisit this for sure, some pieces like the tandoori chicken were left pretty much untouched, that's how tough and dry it was. The lowlight of the visit was nearly throwing up after smelling the mint sauce bottle. The waiter then told me that he had just filled it that morning and it was impossible for it to be off. Of course, he then smelt it himself and took it away promptly... The restaurant itself is clean and comfortable with a good atmosphere. Toilets are fit for human use (unlike the facilities in so many restaurants in Brum these days). Price is very reasonable."

"The food at this restaurant is delicious, but their non-delivery service is a major let down. We waited 50 minutes for our delivery this time, and had a similar experience in the past when a 30 minute order took over an hour. The website said it would be 45 minutes this time, but when we called to inquire about the delay, we were told the driver was 'on his way'. When we asked how much longer it would be, we were told it would be another 20-30 minutes. This would have made it a total of 70-80 minutes from the time of ordering. When we tried to clarify how it could be both 'on his way' and '20-30 minutes more', we were met with silence and no attempt to resolve the issue. We decided to cancel the order, and were thankful that we had chosen to pay with cash on delivery, as it gave us that option. We will not be giving this restaurant a third chance, that is for sure."

"Booked for bottomless brunch on Saturday, only to turn up and find the restaurant closed. My friend had travelled from Liverpool and myself from the other side of Manchester, so to say this was disappointing is an understatement! I rang the number and in fairness they answered, but I don’t feel they offered a solid resolution. They claimed they had tried to get in touch but I’d confirmed the table the day before through the Opentable text I received. I had no missed calls, no other texts and no emails from Aamchi. Their reasoning for cancelling was that we were the only booking which is fair enough, but any form of communication would have been appreciated! I believe if they’d have just cancelled through open table it would have notified me so I don’t believe this excuse of trying to get in touch they clearly just forgot. If the booking had been cancelled then we wouldn’t have been as annoyed and would have saved hours (and the cost) of travelling between us! They offered to give us “something special” the next time we come, but considering we travelled out of our way to come for the bottomless brunch, I can’t say I’m willing to make the journey again to risk another disappointment. Shout out to Chit and Chaat where we had a great meal as an alternative!"

"I went with my wife to this restaurant for a quick dinner. The manager was RACIST, he was rude in a passive aggressive manner asking us if we are new to this country implying that we aren't well cultured enough to be fit in his restaurant. The food was outrageously spicy, although this might be an act of vengeance to make his point clear that we have offended him in some way. So can't really comment on food. But yea such a downer to be here when all u want is a nice meal with a warm service Pathetic "

"Later than we'd like to book, never having been there before, we simply went by the reviews and booked for a 50th wedding celebration. We'll, the reviews don't do it justice. From the welcome of Ali, through the drinks, menu orders, the recommendations from Ali, all handled with graciousness, friendliness and humour. We mostly went with Ali's recommendations and they were great. Food was awesome, all of it. Even our screw up of us mixing up our choices ourselves was sorted quickly and efficiently, even though it was OUR fault. Special occasion was acknowledged with a lovely touch or two. Just a lovely evening, lovely place, great staff, from Ali and Chloe and everyone else who served us and made us feel welcome. Everything a restaurant should be, but rarely is. Deserves 10 out of 5 stars. We'll be back, and we'll be spreading the word, though maybe not too widely... don't want to lose the opportunity to eat there again! Outstanding!"

"Sipsons is quite simply one of the best Indian restaurants around. Any time we're in the Heathrow area, we always try to visit. The staff is so welcoming and accommodating with dietary requirements or recommendations. And even though we only swing by a few times a year, they remember my favorite dish. We often run events nearby, and we always decide last minute to take the staff and some of our guests on a Sunday evening. They consistently manage to seat all 10 of us and deliver amazing food with no advance notice. The food is of exceptional quality, packed with so many layers of flavor, and each dish is delightfully distinct. And OMG, their Hari Mirch or Dhansak is heavenly; and I always choose the Saag Rice to accompany. I've never had a bad meal in the years I've been going. I only wish it was closer as I'd be in there every week. And big up the lads working there top people."

"I went to dinner with a friend to celebrate my new job. Unfortunately from start to end it was not a good experience. A waiter took our drinks order and part of our food order, my diet coke was flat and I asked him to change it which he did. I received a can instead which was warm and poured it into the glass of minimal ice and a thin slice of lemon, immediately the warm coke melted the ice and so the coke had no taste. I asked him what fish was in the Tandoori curry and he did not know, he stood there for a while then decided to go and ask, it was Tilapia. Then another waiter came over and asked to take our order, we told him that we had already given it to the other waiter, nevertheless we proceeded to repeat ourselves and he noted it on his I Pad. At this point we were confused and left wondering why the first waiter had not returned, it may be that he was new and confused himself, very strange. My friend ordered the prawn biriyani and okra curry, she said the biriyani was nice, but her okra skin was tough and inedible, she had to squeeze out the contents of it. My tilapia curry was very disappointing, there were very few pieces of fish in there and it was hot but very bland, my cauliflower curry had more taste than it. It was clear to me that their ingredients were far inferior than others I have visited, there was no authentic taste at all. Another negative was that one of the waiters welcomed 2 customers, and it seemed that one was celebrating a birthday, he may have known them from before because he spent plenty of time chatting to them but ignoring other customers, this is very unprofessional. I work in the hospitality industry and I would never spend a vast amount of my time speaking to just one table of customers. My advice to them would be to seek someone to train the staff professionally on their conduct and service, as it is all about the customer experience if they want them to return and write positive reviews. Also seek suppliers who can offer more quality products, prices to customers may have to increase but it will improve their reputation."

"19:30 order food. Told will be delivered between 2035 and 2055. At 2000 I get text saying on its way. At 2020 I rang them and they said he is delivering to more than just you . So it will be cold then? I replied. The controller told me they are in heat boxes and it will be fine. At 2040 it was delivered. The poor delivery driver was wet through and cold, but still in high spirits. The meal was FANTASTIC! still hot and perfect in every way. I apologise for my rudeness on the phone to the controller. Order with confidence."

"I made an order which had 3 curry’s one curry container was ok and filled up the other 2 curry containers was less then half filled. Uber eats told me to contact them. I have rang them asking why? His reply was larger containers and some curry’s are less sauce??? As you can see by my photos the difference between the portions of curry’s. Customer service is appalling. I work in the restaurant industry and would never talk to a customer the way I was spoken to. Definitely won’t be ordering from there again my mistake as there are plenty of other Indian take away max and I stupidly chose this one. Not even an apology or anything."

"Great experience! My taste buds are delighted with the delicious flavors. I highly recommend trying the Naga huh, Tikka Garlic Chili, and Tikka Masala dishes. "We booked a table, surprisingly it wasn’t that busy. There were lots of delivery drivers collecting, easy to understand why. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. Not hot either. Bring your own alcohol if you want a drink, soft drinks only served, well advertised. They don’t charge corkage either. We started with a poppodom each, they were freshly cooked (not the usual pre made reheated rubbish), they were like fluffy but crunchy clouds, they just melted in the mouth, not hard and not oily. I could easily eat half a dozen of these with mango chutney and raita for a meal. The mango chutney and raita are made freshly in the restaurant, unfortunately the manager wouldn’t share the recipes, darn lol. Considering everything is made fresh to order the service is very quick. I hadn’t even finished my poppodom before the chicken tikka starter arrived. Hubby and I shared a chicken tikka starter, we have both been eating Indian food for over 40 years, and said we both thought it was the best chicken tikka we had ever tasted. It was succulent, and delicious. It could only have been improved by the raw sliced onions accompanying it having been lightly fried. Served with a piece of hot lemon too, perfect. The King Prawn Karahi was excellent, awesome taste, the Chilli Chicken was suitably hot and had a delicious flavour as well. We were so busy eating and waxing lyrical about our dinner we hardly had time to talk to each other lol. We ordered Keema Rice, I was disappointed because it had peppers and tomatoes in it (that’s a first for us). As I had asked for my dish to have no peppers or tomatoes we mentioned it to the manager, he apologised, said it was an error and removed the rice from our bill. The manager was very nice, did a check back as well. The portions are a good size, so value for money. If we lived nearer we would probably have a weekly delivery from here, if not more often. It’s rare to get perfectly cooked food with such good flavour, and great service as well. Definitely looking forward to next time we eat here. I can highly recommend eating here. Can’t remember the last time I thought that, or found a restaurant this good. Thank you to the manager and chef for making our little break perfect."
